The New York Times

Times Open

Empowering Developers

Last year, NYTimes.com hosted TimesOpen, our first-ever developer conference. It was a fun day and a great way to learn and share ideas about Times APIs.

This year we’re expanding and trying a new format. Introducing TimesOpen 2.0: a series of events surveying the current landscape on a variety of topics, including Geolocation, Open Government, the Real-Time Web and Big Data. We’ll talk with people actively working in each field, look at what’s coming up next, and drink some beer with our fellow software developers, technologists and code hackers.

We’ll cap off the series with a hack day at The New York Times in early December. Stay tuned for more details about the day-long hack event.

Join us for one or all of the events. We look forward to seeing you soon at The Times!
