John_Evan_bruce_deboer_sized.jpgFor the last two years, SXSW Interactive has had the pleasure of welcoming Evan Carroll and John Romano — UX designers, researchers and co-authors of "Your Digital Afterlife: When Facebook, Flickr and Twitter Are Your Estate, What's Your Legacy?"

At SXSW Interactive 2009, Carroll and Romano first tested the waters and presented their research in a well-received Core Conversation entitled, Who Will Check My Email After I Die? Spurred by the interest of the interactive community, the two were inspired to continue the conversation and started The Digital Beyond — a blog dealing with the same topic — the day after returning from SXSW.

Know Your Interactive Awards: The Personal Category

kelly-delay_0.jpgWe've got big changes happening with the SXSW Interactive Awards this year. First of all, the name. The competition formerly known as the Web Awards is now the SXSW Interactive Awards.

Also changed? The date. Typically on Sunday night, the Interactive Awards Ceremony will be on Tuesday evening, March 15 during SXSW Interactive in 2011.

Today, though, we want to highlight the changes in one of the categories in the Interactive Awards. The Personal category, formerly Personal Portfolio, highlights the blogs, portfolios and other personal projects from the Interactive community. Last year's winner in the Personal category was the Clouds 365 Project, a daily photo/video blog showing clouds.
