Remember when we were kids and at every opportunity, some adult would have us play that silly Telephone game? You know… the one where the lead person comes up with a sentence or statement, whispers it into the ear of the next person in line, and the sentence is passed from person to person until it reaches the end of the line. The last person then repeats the sentence out loud, the first person announces what it actually was, and everyone gets to laugh about how goofy it got by being passed from ear to ear and being altered because of mispronunciations and hearing ability.
Of course I realize that the game was simply a means for adults to keep us in line while we were waiting for something or killing time. Haven’t we even now as adults, tried to use it on our own kids?
Being the silly kind of fracas that I am, I’ve decided to create an internet version of the game. The results are below, for your reading pleasure! I replied to you at your blog Linky. It isn’t about me being “mom” it’s just that it’s kind of a standard thing when blogging, that one blogger is supposed to respect another’s authorship of whatever they create, be it a meme, a game, a post, an article, a poem… etc.
It’s one of those standard rules that a person shouldn’t change someone else’s work unless they ask permission, use more than a reasonable quote of someone else’s work without asking, and even when quoting, should provide fair linkage and credit.
By doing what you did, the game would’ve been ruined. I did explain that in the instructions, and you did it anyway, stating that you were deliberately ignoring my game instructions. I’m not sure why you didn’t understand that wasn’t a nice thing to do, but it didn’t feel very nice on my end, so I asked you to correct it.
I’ve also suggested to you in the past, when you copied an entire post of mine, that you need to be careful about doing things that are considered faux pas among serious bloggers online. I was only trying to help you out when I gave that advice. You do need to be careful about respecting other bloggers or it will come back to you in a negative way eventually.
Again, I’m just trying to be helpful. I’ve seen others not bother to explain or coach… just get mad and label someone with a bad rep.

I have a short meme history and having had others changing my rules + rutus way of talking about the rules as well, I was under the impression changing the rules was part of the game.
Adding 2 tags to keep the game alive easier seemed like a logical positive breaking of the rules.
Now I read closely your comments and 12 dec post, so I have no problem with joining the game the way you stated.
If the game doesn’t continue from my first tag, I am happely willing to delete the tagged person later and retag somebody else in another post.
Again my deepest appologies for upsetting you and hoping we can go on blogging in a friendly mood.
