But I really prefer Wordpress...I keep moving around. I need a change before my head explodes...and guess what? I'm going back to my old roots. To the way things used to be...and guess what? You'll all find 3 years worth of posts back from my single days since that's where I used to house my itsjustjane.com blog. (Those, however, will be up in about 24 hours as Wordpress is revising the merging of the old blog with the new one).

You can now find me here....itsmejane.wordpress.com; because Wordpress wouldn't let me use itsjustjane again. I'm going back to basics and I'm going to have a little more fun doing this. And I promised you will have a little more fun reading it too.

It's Christmas!

We just got back from a little winter holiday- we went to Disney and stayed at the beautiful Animal Kingdom Resort. And, get this: as we were about to enter the park on Saturday, I realized that J's seasonal ticket was not valid because it was officially 'blackout time'. So we get in line and I get tapped by 2 girls on the shoulder...next thing I know they are insisting that I accept two park-hopper tickets. Merry Christmas they insisted, and I was just waiting for the 'but' in the sentence. They even walked us in, gave us our tickets, hugged us goodbye and told us to enjoy our day. I shit you not. J couldn't believe it...what nice girls....I think. ;)

So that was our little Christmas miracle. I saved $200 in entrance tickets which I then went and spent somewhere else. One guess.

You all have a Merry Christmas, I'm off for the week; I haven't wrapped ONE gift. And I have stuff everywhere- must get cracking.

Movie Review- Invictus

I went to see this movie on Sunday because being married to a South African, well I was literally dragged by my feet to go see it. I didn't even have a sitter so J had to go with us- it is rated PG-13 and sometimes I flinch at taking J to these movies. BUT- it had no sex (shocker), no drugs (really!) and one act of violence from old tv footage and one bad word that I remember...the F word. Once.

I was actually quite entertained and never really thought I would find men in short shorts hot. But oh my! the eye candy! J and I both left thinking that rugby is a rough sport, G left in his glory (he used to play rugby) and I went into the closet to get his Bokke shirt just like the ones above. It was interesting to watch this movie with a product of the apartheid movement next to me. Let's face it, G never lived in the country where there was a 'one man, one vote' type of thing. But he said what the coach said early on. Everyone thought that when Mandela would leave jail, there would be chaos. But it wasn't like that- during the years he presided over the country, the country actually flourished. It has been the presidents after him that have allowed the country to go 'to the dogs'.

So if you have 2 1/2 hours, go see it. It was slow at times, but good.

10.That I'm finally changing schools for next year for J and the three schools we're considering are all great possibilities for her- one she could stay through high school!
