TOM MADARASZ went from being a slave in a communist coal mine in Hungary for two years, fighting on the barricades during the bloody Hungarian revolution of 1956, to the soft life of a devoted family man in New Jersey and to success as a TV news editor in New York.
Ronald Frederico Sr., a retired baker for a Philadelphia pretzel company and longtime resident of South Philadelphia, died Tuesday. He was 71 and lived in Cape May.
