Just when you thought StarCraft 2 couldn't get any bigger Korean Air one-ups everyone by introducing a couple of jumbo jets adorned with StarCraft 2 imagery.
Blizzard Entertainment Korea, in conjunction with Korean Air, today announced co-marketing plans for its highly anticipated real-time strategy game, StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty.
With this joint promotion, a character image of Jim Raynor, a terran hero from StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, will be wrapped on two of Korean Air’s planes using special films and paint. The two wrapped airplanes - a B747-400 and a B737-900 - will fly domestic routes in Korea as well as international routes in the U.S. and European regions for six months starting on June 24 and in early July, respectively. In addition, four Korean Air limousine buses wrapped with StarCraft II character images will be in service during this period.
Blizzard Entertainment and Korean Air unveiled the first StarCraft II airplane to approximately 400 industry partners and press during the StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty launch press event at the Korean Air hangar located at Gonghang-dong, Kangseo-gu, Seoul on June 24.
“We’re pleased to be partnering with Korean Air, Korea's leading airline, on this campaign,” said Paul Sams, chief operating officer of Blizzard Entertainment. “As we approach the global launch of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, this promotion represents a unique, large-scale opportunity to introduce the characters and style of the StarCraft universe to gamers throughout the world.”

The APM-Lighting System is part of all our Starcraft II Peripherals. Starcraft II measures your effective APM ingame and our peripherals will draw that data and will change lighting accordingly. In addition to that it will also register any in game alerts like "Base under attack" or "Unit Built" and each of the alerts can have individual lighting settings that will be reflected on your peripherals. See below for examples. One wonders how much players will pay attention to anything outside of their screens in the heat of battle, but this gear certainly adds a hint of luxury to the gaming experience. In the age of ubiquitous case mods, it might go so far as to reach into fashion.
There were only three people aboard the dropship. The pilot, Feek, who was acting as jump master, and Lance Corporal Jim Raynor. Tychus had offered to come along and shove his friend into the abyss, but Raynor had declined. Five extremely busy days had passed since his meeting with Tychus, and now, with Colonel Vanderspool's blessing, Raynor was about to drop into Kel-Morian-held territory alone. It was a stupid, stupid thing to do, and he knew that now. But maybe, just maybe, the mission was a way to atone for stealing the trucks. And it was something he knew his parents would be proud of.The novel, which explores the history of StarCraft II lead characters Jim Raynor and Tychus Findlay, came out in early April. A special limited edition version is available now for US$30, but a regular release can be acquired for significantly cheaper from other retailers.
