Germantown Ave Beautification Beginning

Streetscape improvements on the 7-block stretch of Germantown Avenue between Nippon Street and Upsal Street are scheduled to begin today, according to a post on Philly Corners. The work is supposed to last through December and will involve new lighting as well as replacing sidewalks and curbs, among other things. The project is funded by the city, state and federal government.
