  • Support Tim Fite!

    BERJAYA

One of my favorite pastimes other than making music is going out to listen to my favorite artists. I have seen many wonderful concerts, but recently I saw both one of the best concerts I have seen in a while and heard one of my new favorite albums ever released for free. At least in my Top 5. The artist is Tim Fite (otherwise known as Little T of "Shaniqua" fame).

Those who don't know him, Tim Fite is an artist in his own right. He creates cartoons, mini books, and even has great albums that are both on sale and for free. One of which is named Under The Table Tennis, the flipside of Over the Counterculture. Where Tim once railed against consumerism and a fake reality on "It's All Right Here", Tim Fite now shakes his head at the fact that we wound up in a recession, and creates a soundtrack for the time. On the album, he puts himself in the place of a carpenter who loses his house in "For-Closure", boasts about the fact that he's heavily employed in "Jobs", talks about lack of healthcare coverage in the upbeat "Not Covred" (no, that's not a typo), and also turns the dialogue we are all familiar with into a wonderfully silly tune on "Money Back" (personal favorite!). • Pet Peeves: Shoes on the Beach

    BERJAYA
I hate a lot of things, so I figure since everyone has issues with different crap, why not blog about it and then discuss it in the comments? I'm going to start a series of pet peeves and every now and again I'll blog about them.

Today's pet peeve is when people wear shoes to the beach:More Here...

  • Olivia Munn, Will You Marry Me?

    BERJAYA
I watch the G4 network almost as much as I watch the movie channels. They usually have a constant flow of Attack of the Show or Xplay on. I love these shows. They're very informative and extremely funny, but I would be lying if I said I didn't watch them to also be a creep and drool over Olivia Munn. Holy crap - she is hot! • You Shouldn't Watch [pr0n], Dear.

    BERJAYA

Pr0nography has now come to be something 'every man watches'. In our society it has become the normality for men to watch pr0n. It's nothing out of the ordinary.

As a woman though, I find it troubling.

Despite how self confidant you are, you will always have some insecurity about your body. When the man you love is watching other women preform various sex acts and such, it's a blow to your confidence. Can't you please him? More Here...

  • Portal is Now On Mac (Oh, and it's Free)

    BERJAYA
If you haven't already heard, Valve has recently made its ever-popular sci-fi adventure game Portal free for download for just a few more days as part of a promotion to celebrate Steam on Mac. As the page insists, there's really no reason not to give the game a try. It's fun, original, and has decent replay value. Not to mention, it's left quite a legacy on the Internet since its original release back in 2007.

  • Odd Kitchen Conconctions, When You'll Eat Anything

    BERJAYA

Oh, the kind of junk I'll eat when I'm hungry...

College life teaches you a lot of things. Resourcefulness and creativity, living on a tight budget and making the most of what you have. In no other place are these skills better manifested than in the kitchen. I can't say I'm much of a whiz in the kitchen, and instant noodles and microwave burritos are sure to get tiring. Being a student, I always find myself awake in the dead of night when all the fast food outlets are closed. So if I'm feeling enterprising enough, I'll screw around with some ingredients and try to put my spin on a dish to make it less boring. Successes are, admittedly, few and far between. But, damn it, I'll eat just about anything if I'm hungry enough.

I know this isn't a cooking blog, but I'm interested to hear what anyone else has made when they faced similar situations, whether that means they were too lazy to order out or just had odd cravings. Here's a recipe for a moderately successful dish that I call scrambled egg ramen. It's not as gross as it sounds, trust me.
