Seth Williams Gets Off on the Wrong Foot
In his first news conference as D.A., Seth Williams yesterday named Christopher M. Werner as his chief of county detectives, a move widely viewed as a step up for the 21-year police veteran.
That would be the Christopher Werner who headed up the Narcotics Field Unit unit, which generated headlines like these:

The Denver Police Are Going to get their City Sued. A Lot.
Via atrios, Time reports that the Denver police are setting their city up for some lawsuits:
