If the rumors are to be believed, in the not-so-distant future (as early as tomorrow from the time of this writing), Nintendo of America will officially launch its "frequent buyer" Club Nintendo program in the good ol' US of A. With the Club Nintendo program comes the ability to acquire special points by registering Nintendo games, and these points can be redeemed for special collectible items. Swag is good. In the early peek of products being made available to North American Club Nintendo members is the Nintendo DS game Game & Watch Collection, a cool little cartridge that features "ports" of three classic LCD games from Nintendo's past: Oil Panic, Donkey Kong, and Greenhouse.
About this Game
Available exclusively as a bonus item for Club Nintendo members in Japan, the Game & Watch collection includes two games: Parachute and Octopus. Each game is playable in A and B variations, with the B modes being a bit tougher. Nintendo has kept true to the Game & Watch name with a built in alarm clock feature, accessible both from the main menu and from the title screen for each title.
This cartridge is only available through the Club Nintendo promotion in Japan, where redeeming 500 points earned through game purchases would net users this rare collectible game.
Release Date: TBA 2010
Exclusively on: Nintendo DS
ESRB: RP
