BETTER OFF OUT has gained a forceful advocate of British freedom and independence with the election of Lord Pearson of Rannoch to lead UKIP.
As the next general election approaches, only 5 months to go, so pressure will grow on David Cameron to take a tougher line on the European Union and Britain’s place within it. His EU fudge and delaying tactics can only harm the Conservative Party in key marginal seats.
Meanwhile with Lisbon on the statutory books, the EU driven by Germany and partner France will take over more and more of our national life.
The City has suffered yet another blow with the appointment of Commissioner Barnier. It should be beyond belief that France is now regulating the City of London. How many more of our best financial entrepreneurs will now head for the exit? They may like to bear in mind that the EU has plans to impose exchange controls and exit taxes.
So will Cameron adopt real politik to ensure a clear Conservative victory? And if he becomes PM with a working majority will he tackle the EU head on?
