The legal back-and-forth over Fallout rights continues as Interplay is counter-suing Bethesda for a breach of contract (h/t GamePolitics). According to Raging Bull forums poster frymunchan, who's been outed as an Interplay stockholder, Interplay has been given ten days to respond to a preliminary injunction filed by Bethesda. Interplay's quarrel with the case deals with the digitally-distributed bundles it sold when Fallout 3 was released. Bethesda responded to the sale of those previous Fallout titles by contacting various digital download sites like GameTap and Good Old Games, claiming that Interplay did not own the rights to sell the games. Interplay believes it retained the right to the previous Fallout games, and that Bethesda's rights are solely with Fallout 3, 4 and 5. Read More »
