Today there’s a full moon in Gemini and some explosive Mars-Uranus-Saturn stuff. Lots of nervous energy looking for a place to ground. (Yes, there will be blood.) Clearly a bad day for the markets, and on a personal level? Stay focused and try to bite your tongue. The fallout won’t be worth it.

Tonight:
Every once in a while, something will appear in the night sky that will attract the attention of even those who normally don’t bother looking up. It’s likely to be that way on Monday evening, Dec. 1.
A slender crescent moon, just 15-percent illuminated, will appear in very close proximity to the two brightest planets in [...]

Pluto changes signs Friday (plus, Uranus went direct this morning), and astrologically speaking, it’s a big deal - the more rare the aspect, the more important it is. (Pluto takes 233 years to return to a sign. The last time it was in Capricorn was 1762 to 1779.)
This has to do with authority, power and [...]

I suppose I should mention that the astrological community buzz is rather insistent about a major shaker in Sunny Cali between now and the end of the year. (Saturn-Uranus opposition, don’t ya know.)

There’s an exact Saturn-Uranus opposition today, the first one since 1968. Among other things, Saturn is structure and restrictions, Uranus is innovation and freedom. I leave it to you to interpret.

Here’s what astrologers are saying about today’s eclipse, which took place at 2:16 PDT/5:16 EDT:
It’s time to move to cash.
The “rapid transformation of investor psychology from manic greed to paranoia”? Yikes.
Ditto. Oh, and increased storm activity at the end of August. (When I’m on vacation, naturally.)

I forgot to note that today was the first day of spring, mostly because I was so happy they re-opened I-95 and my ride home was back to its normal 25 minutes. (It took me an hour and a half to get home the first night. Arggghh.)
Anyway, the insurance company on the floor down from [...]

An earthquake in Nevada. And Norway. And Greece and Serbia. Not to mention the recent ones in Mexico & Indonesia. Since it couldn’t possibly be yesterday’s eclipse, it must be them gays.
Regardless, all those affected by all this tectonic unrest are certainly in my prayers.

If skies are clear tonight, you can watch the lunar eclipse. And watch out, as usual, for earthquakes in the eclipse path.
UPDATE: My friend Barry writes to remind me:
In case you didn’t know, tonight’s lunar eclipse is the last one until 2010. It starts at 8:43pm ET, with totality from 10:01 - 10:51 pm.

I wonder if this will, you know, cause any American companies to rethink their outsourcing practices:
BANGALORE, India (AFP) — India’s vital outsourcing industry was grappling with major communications disruption Thursday after damage to undersea cables thousands of kilometres away in the Mediterranean.
Internet connections may take days to return to normal, businesses said, adding that telecommunications [...]

Today’s Michael Lutin horoscope:
Sunday 23rd december
So why the plunge?
This is the season
of candy canes, dancing reindeer and jingling bells
so what’s with the plunge into darkness?
We all go around wishing each other merriment
so why do you feel so empty, crappy or worried?
God forbid you should ever tell anybody how you are really feeling
and they back away [...]
