Is it just me, or did Ann look like she was deciding whether to run away when he said he wanted to have sex with every pretty woman he sees?

Delay gratification..WTF does that mean? He gets a hard on courtesy of every beautiful woman he sees and takes it home to wifie? Gee..how did we all live so long without knowing that he only finds beautiful women sexually attractive? And why do we need to know that now?

I’d sure like to hear Jimmy debate Pastor Rick™! Somehow, “consider yourself better than someone else” seems to be at the core of Pastor Rick™’s “theology.”

She is a very pretty woman, so she knew he was alluding to thinking thoughts of having sex with her. Ann showed class under pressure; Warren has none. She was briefly in the ‘fight or flight’ state. Poor lady, she was trapped. He says that he has many gay friends. No he does not. You are a friend to no one when you discriminate against them.

Dude’s less insightful than I thought. Wow, just wow. What a stupid answer. Even as someone who wavers from agnostic to atheist, I’ve seen some evangelicals speak that really made me question me beliefs. This guy doesn’t at all. If Obama wanted an evangelical, there are so many more that would’ve been great speakers. It must be because this guy has the audience size Obama’s looking for.

I’m so tired of idiots trying to enact laws based on their opinions. Why should his opinion be any more important than mine? Is his opinion so important that people are to be denied civil rights based on it. Good grief!

He’s playing into one of the stereotypes of gay people. That they have promiscuous sex in bathrooms, and sex shops. That they are sex addicts.

Of course as a therapist I separate the issues. There are straight sex addicts and gay sex addicts. One of my sex addict clients who is also gay, has tried to argue with me that all gay people are promiscuous. He knows that is just a rationalization. Those of us who love gay people in our lives (children, sisters, brothers, parents,…) no that this stereotype is not accurate.

Sex addiction happens to both straights and gays, and is often terribly destructive to healthy intimate relationships.

Like Diaper Vitter, Larry Craig, Mark Foley, or the thousands of others, when Rick Warren gets caught in a sex scandal, he will do what they all do. First he will lie and deny it. Then, he will confess that he is a sinner. He will recant. He will promise not to do it anymore (but can I please keep my million dollar position or something similar?).

This is why society needs to move away from this archaic thinking. It is crap. Consenting adults should do whatever they damn well please. We usually do. We just lie about it when we get caught.
