Fighting the Second Generation[ Comment ] 17:13 PST | diamonddalsscott | Print NewsWhat started off as an innocent, albeit underhanded gambit to win the World Tag Team Championship has blossomed into a group that may soon have a stranglehold over the entire Raw brand. Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, and Manu are all sons of WWE Hall of Famers, all used to the finest treatment, and, most importantly, are all proving to be allies of former World and WWE Champion Randy Orton. The question is, who can stop them from dominance?

Kane and Rey Mysterio...why?[ Comment ] 16:13 PST | DeviantNinja | Print NewsThis really should only be labeled as the Kane match. Rey Mysterio doesn't even really count as a wrestler. He half the size of Kane...making him half of a man or a halfling. A David vs. Goliath match at No Mercy is really the only title that fits. An unmasking battle might fit better. Will Rey have to lose his mask? What happens to Rey afterwards?
Batista vs. Santino Marella was, as expected, a squash match. Batista decimated Santino. While I enjoy Santino's segments I feel as if he could be pushed as at least slightly tougher. He is, after all, the Intercontinental Champion. Nonetheless, he is hard not to enjoy. Gotta' love the Honk-A-Meter.
The Miz racked up a victory over JTG. Thank God. To have respect for Cryme Tyme is simply Uncalled For! And I must say: Miz looked pretty impressive in the squared circle!
Jamie Noble was matched against Paul and Katie Lea Burchill. Noble had trouble finding a partner but when the bell sounded Mickie James skipped out to the ring! Noble made Paul tap out to an armbar. Noble is damn impressive in the ring.
In a fun 8-man tag, Kane, Rhodes, DiBiase & Manu battled Mysterio, Punk, Kingston, and Bourne. One can't help but enjoy watching the young Superstars; they are the companies future. Kane pinned Kingston for the win. I guess we'll have to wait until Sunday for him to massacre Mysterio... and he better MASSACRE Mysterio.
The Great Charli (Charlie Haas) defeated Deuce before being brutally beaten by Great Khali. Deuce may be the one guy that even Paul Burchill could get a win over and appears to be the worst of the worst on Raw.
In the main event, HBK revealed that his mystery partner was none other than The Game. They defeated Chris Jericho and Lance Cade. Despite the outcome, you can't help but expect and hope that Chris Jericho retains this Sunday.
This comes after People Magazine reported earlier that Nick may possibly be released three months early from his original sentence.
Nick Bollea was sentenced to eight months in jail for his involvement in permanently disabling his longtime friend John Graziano during an illegal street racing accident. John Graziano was riding as Nick's passenger when the accident happened.

New Superstars Everywhere![ Comment ] 18:04 PST | diamonddalsscott | Print NewsNew superstars are popping up everywhere, and not just as part of ECWs new talent initiative. All three brands have seen a bevy of new faces, and already the landscape of WWE is changing. However, no two of these debuting athletes are the same, and as such, no two will have the same impact.
The feud started this week on RAW. And it looks like it put CM Punk where he belongs. The question is who has what it takes to be the champion? Who would will take the belt home with them when this match goes down?.....
A Look at No Mercy[ Comment ] 18:27 PST | karmarogue | Print NewsNo Mercy is less than 2 weeks away. Let's take a look at how things are shaping up and what we can expect to see go down.
World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match
The highlight of night, by a long shot, sees Chris Jericho defending against Shawn Michaels in a Ladder Match! These two can put on one hell of a show. I've been calling for months for one of them to become champion because their feud was so good that it deserved the strap to be involved. I can't see Shawn Michaels being victorious. I can, however, see Michaels living up to his name: The Show Stopper!
WWE Champion Triple H vs. Jeff Hardy
This match is a joke. Just one week ago, Jeff Hardy was kicked off of an airplane for being overly intoxicated. Once again, Jeff Hardy put his true colors on display. Jeff Hardy's drug problems are a huge liability and it is hard to imagine the WWE is willing to risk giving him the WWE title.
ECW Champion Matt Hardy vs. Mark Henry
Let's hope Henry can take the strap back. Henry certainly deserves the title more than Hardy. Either way, this match is going to be a yawner full of plenty of bear hugs.
Batista vs. JBL
I like JBL much more than Batista but I still do not understand why he is in this match. He has had so many shots at the title recently that it seems as if he should be outside of the title picture at this point. I'd rather see yet another rematch between Jericho and Michaels at Cyber Sunday than to see either of these two contest the championship.
Big Show vs. Undertaker
This should be a fairly decent match featuring two of WWE's veterans. Big Show is definitely doing far better lately as a heel than he was doing as a face. I expect this match to end in controversy and the feud between these two heavyweights to continue.
Women's Championship Match
Candice is just not ready for a title run, yet. She has looked sloppy lately in the ring. Look for Beth Phoenix to retain with relative ease.
Rey Mysterio vs. Kane
I hope Kane decimates Rey Mysterio. Mysterio should be feuding with Hornswaggle.

No Diva Search this Year[ Comment ] 20:35 PST | EleanorusRex | Print NewsSome sources are saying that there is no talk in the company about bringing back the WWE Diva Search this year. This could possibly be for any reason including the short-sighted deal in guaranteeing lucrative contracts to multiple women with little or no wrestling knowledge. Another reason for the disbanding of the Diva Search could possibly be last year's poor reception in front of live crowds. Interestingly, half of the Diva Search winners since 2004 have been released by the company..and not on the best of terms.
More Video Game Madness[ Comment ] 10:13 PST | EleanorusRex | Print NewsAccording to Wrestling Observer, WWE was said to be very aggressive in regards to the portrayal of its next video game. A magazine called Fighting Spirit, which has been mentioned on this website before, printed out a memo sent by the WWE that stated some interesting stipulations for video game press covering the upcoming Raw vs. Smackdown! 2009 title:
* The video game press could not show any screenshots of digitalized weapons or pictures of Superstars bleeding.
* The video game press was not allowed to show Triple H "in a defenseless or vulnerable position".
However, the U.K. based magazine defied orders from the memo by posting a screenshot of Kane hovering over a vulnerable Triple H. Needless to say that there is now some friction between WWE and Fighting Spirit Magazine.

The Real Big Show Returns[ Comment ] 17:35 PST | diamonddalsscott | Print NewsThe Big Shows recent change of heart may have caught some by surprise- after all, he spend weeks deriding Vickie Guerreros abilities as Smackdown General Manager before aligning with her to turn on The Undertaker.
When Show shows his true colors, can he be stopped?
Why Wrestling Needs a Drug-Free Environment[ Comment ] 18:55 PST | EleanorusRex | Print NewsIt's no secret in the last year that the WWE has pushed hard to make its newly adopted drug policies as strict and legitimate as possible. In the last 6 months it's been very obvious that we've seen less body-builder physiques on tv and more natural athletic builds. I couldn't be happier with this new trend and I have come up with 3 critical reasons why drug-testing should always have a place in the wrestling business.
Nice job CM Punk... you couldn't reclaim your title from Chris Jericho. I for one wasn't expecting you to but that is neither here nor there. You had your chance. Apparently you didn't have it in you to become a superstar. Did you ever really think you could amount to the likes of The Game or Batista or Jericho or JBL? If you did... you should apologizing to every WWE fan. Do you know why you became champion and why you lost it again? I do... There is only one man to blame...
Some WWE Superstars have but one hope of becoming main eventers. Their only chance to make it to the top is for just about every other Superstar in the WWE Universe to be sidelined with an injury. Let's take a look at 10 such Superstars, 5 from Raw and 5 from Smackdown, in hopes of determining just how many would have to be suffering a severe injury in order for them to achieve the greatest WWE success: a place in the main event title scene.
NOTE: I left ECW out for good reason. Raw and SmackDown would have to lose everybody for anybody in ECW to go to Monday or Friday and compete at the top.
A Look at No Mercy's Title Matches[ Comment ] 18:30 PST | diamonddalsscott | Print NewsWith no offense intended to Scrambles, SummerSlam, or Steel Cages, Octobers No Mercy Pay-Per-View brings us two of the most interesting Championship matches weve seen in quite a while. Both are rematches, but both have higher stakes than ever before. The most important question, though, is who will prevail?
