DWTS: Injured Misty Done; Brooke Just Beginning
Misty May-Treanor has two Olympic gold medals. Alas, her opportunity to add a gaudy, glitzy disco ball to her trophy case has ended.
The beach volleyball champ has indeed been forced to withdraw from Dancing With the Stars after rupturing her Achilles tendon Friday while practicing the jive.
"I was actually really excited, because this was the first dance I was going to do in sneakers, so go figure," May-Treanor, leaning on crutches, said ruefully. "I am out, but I'm not out of cheering on the competitors and keeping in touch with everybody."
The 31-year-old athlete is scheduled to have surgery tomorrow, but said that she'd love to come back and dance the jive someday.
"It turns out I'm more emotional than her," partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy said tonight. "She was laughing in the hospital, and I was asking for Vicodin."
"I'm really sad, but I hope that we'll stay friends," he added.
Whether this means that last week's castoff, Kim Kardashian, gets a second chance because producers need to keep to a schedule remains to be seen. An announcement is expected during tomorrow's results show.
Brangelina Lands in the Big Easy
The Crescent City is seeing stars again.
Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and three of their kids were spotted in New Orleans Monday after stopping in New York over the weekend for the Changeling premiere.

David Duchovny Out of Rehab
Here's hoping David Duchovny has found the proper help for what ails him.
The Californication star has checked out of the facility where he was undergoing treatment for a sex addiction, according to the actor's lawyer, Stanton "Larry" Stein.
"David is out of rehab and about to start a new movie," Stein said in a statement Monday. "He successfully completed his treatment."
Duchovny revealed Aug. 28 that he was voluntarily seeking help.
"I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family," he said at the time.
His wife of more than 11 years, Téa Leoni, opted out of a scheduled appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival less than a week later.

Grey's Anatomy: Is McDreamy Moving In With Mer?
Drip...drip...drip...That's the sound of the sky falling right through the ceiling of Seattle Grace hospital on Grey's Anatomy, as you can see in the sneak peek clip above.

Alive From New York, Fey's Palin Paces SNL
The John McCain-Sarah Palin ticket would love to have Saturday Night Live's poll numbers.
Last weekend's show, featuring yet another Tina Fey take on Palin, scored yet another big overnight rating, NBC said. Through the first four weeks of its season, SNL is up nearly 50 percent versus last fall.
Coincidentally, Fey, as the winking, flute-playing, media-bashing Alaskan governor, has appeared on three of those first four shows.
Sorry, make that not coincidentally.

Sons of Anarchy Picked Up for Season Two
Good news! FX just confirmed that it's ordering a 13-episode second season of badass biker drama Sons of Anarchy. The series, easily one of the fall's best new series, comes from Shield scribe Kurt Sutter and follows the exploits of an outlaw motorcycle club in Northern California.
But this post comes with more than good news about season two episodes. I recently talked to the very sweet Charlie Hunnam, and he spilled everything you need to know about the rest of season one, including what's in store for the love triangle and Jax himself...
Afternoon Fix: Selena Gomez Won't Confirm Anything Until She Gets to Know Nick Jonas
• Selena Gomez can confirm she's "getting to know" Nick Jonas, whatever that means. We're trying hard to keep it clean.
• The Jolie-Pitts are allowed to eat Cheetos. Could they finally be the ones to redeem the delicious snack food whose reputation was tarnished by Britney Spears? Let it be true!
• David Duchovny is either done with rehab or took a short little field trip with the wifey to the Czech Street Festival in New York City this weekend. He looks pretty happy to have his photo taken.
• Minnie Driver put her baby up on MySpace. Could this be the beginning of baby photo bidding wars between MySpace and Facebook?
Can Miley Cyrus See Into the Future?
Miley's dad was quoted at her party saying it was really hard to surprise her. How can you keep such a big party a secret from a star, especially when she has so many friends who could tell her?
—Erica, Fort Collins, Colo.
You don't. Miley knew all about the party, because she helped announce it back in August. And just in case she later forgot the precious details—that there was going to be a purple carpet and purple cupcakes—Disney had that covered, too. Every aspect of the blowout, including what the guests "ate" and how they "celebrated like rock stars," was released to the media...two days early!
So Miley can see into the future now, too? Well...
