Apple Recalls iPhone Power Adapters

September 19, 2008 - iPhone owners beware, Apple is recalling all USB power adapters bundled with the 3G iPhone after widespread reports of the device's metal prongs breaking off…while still inside your wall socket. Earlier this week, Apple initiated its Ultracompact USB Power Adapter Exchange Program, which applies to all Japanese, and North and South American consumers. The power adapter, which was only included in 3G models, can be replaced via the mail-in replacement program or by exchange in Apple retail stores. Consumers will be able to replace the adapter in stores starting in October 10, while mail-in customers can begin immediately. More ?
