Welcome to Planet Vampire! Whether you're a White Wolf fan, a fellow gamer, or a wandering soul who lost their way and wound up here, you'll find something for everyone. We are the number one fansite for White Wolf's Vampire Role Playing PC games. Here you will find info, art, mods, patches, fan creations, and on-going discussion on the pen and paper (P&P;) RPG and the PC games Vampire: the Masquerade - Redemption (VtMR) and Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines (VtMB). We also have a discussion board dedicated to the upcoming MMO, which is tentatively titled World of Darkness Online and is currently being co-developed by CCP (of EVE Online fame) and White Wolf. Full of dedicated role-players, gamers, modders, and storytellers we do our best to bring you up-to-date news on White Wolf releases, state-of-the-game news, in depth game discussions, lovingly made fan creations, and much more.
Make sure that you have the latest version of the official patch installed to ensure the best and most reliable performance from the games. The current final official version for Redemption is v1.1, and for Bloodlines it is v1.2. Bloodlines also has a very well-made unofficial patch, which will bring you to v4.2. Visit the Patches section on the left-hand menu to get the official patches. The forum has external links to the unofficial patch.
For all you Redemption online roleplayers, be sure to read up on the Official PlanetVampire Chronicle. Join in the fun and help keep the community alive. Carpe Noctem Kins!
Javokis (aka Rainmoon) and ORI (aka Kain Dark and ORI) are in the early planning stages for a Source project. The idea is to make many of the Redemption features available as a game using Valve Software's Source engine, which is the same engine used for Bloodlines and the Half-Life 2 family of products. If you are interested in helping out, head over to the Endeavor Mods forum. To discuss the project in a more general sense, head over to the designated thread here on the PlanetVampire forum.
As many of you have noticed, the forum migration has reached the point where the interface has switched over to the new ASP.NET format. We are currently experiencing a number of issues, but we urge all of our members to be patient. Some of the features will not be fully implemented until IGN has finished moving all of the Planet sites' forums to the new forum system.
If you're new to PlanetVampire or have considered picking up either Redemption or Bloodlines, check out the trailers and some of the best fan-made music and gameplay vids around for both games! We are always looking for new content so please submit any videos to Signothorn and we'll get them up ASAP! To visit our channel of over 50 videos, Click Here!
After a 2.5 year hiatus, Mordred has relaunched the infamous Bloodlines fan site Vampire Heaven. Head over there, bookmark it, and enjoy all that it has to offer.
I would like to announce the newest Pen and Paper based Wodal Mod for Vampire the Masquerade - Redemption is ready for public play. Check it out here: E-Mod Mods Section. There is also a topic displaying all of the newest features and fixes to 0.3a here at the Wodal Mod 0.3a Launched topic.
As promised, the Official PV Chronicle for Redemption has a brand new section on our web site. It formally outlines the chronicle's setting, approved characters, and provides instructions for new players hoping to join. Be sure to check it often (it's permanently linked in the Tales from the Crypt header) as it will change to reflect the latest events in the ongoing story.
It's a little ugly right now, but feel free to throw together some demo artwork to spiff up the section's look and feel.
It's been a couple weeks since we've had an update about the upcoming 8th birthday festivities. As mentioned before, there will be a Bloodlines fan fiction contest. Here are the guidelines:
All entries must be emailed to me rather than posted directly. This is so I can post them all anonymously, so everybody can vote on them without any kind of bias or preconceptions about the writers.
The stories can be about pretty much anything, just so long as they are related to Bloodlines at least a little bit. This can be done in any number of ways: cameos, flashbacks, journal entries, etc.
Entries must be submitted no later than 20 October 2007
Individuals may submit up to 3 different stories
Winners will be selected for the following categories (stories can win in more than one category, and new categories may be added):
Best character development or interplay
Best atmosphere
Creepiest or most disturbing
Funniest
Voting procedures will be announced in another few weeks. This will stay under wraps for now so that everybody will have a fair chance and the system will be as transparent as possible. Prizes will be announced soon. If you have any question be sure to ask me about it before putting too much work into your stories.
I'm pleased to announce the "patches" area has been updated to now list Wesp's unofficial patches from v3.6 to present, along with the Readme notes and working download links! Going forward, we will be posting all of his unofficial patches there so check back often!

This past Thursday Changeling: the Lost went on sale all across North America. I've reviewed the book myself, and it looks just as good as we could have hoped for. Head over to our New World of Darkness board to talk about it. Also, the last page of the book is a puzzle that basically reveals the 6th game in the series. Click here to see the not-so-shocking answer to what that game will be. Only click it if you really really want to know which game will be coming out next year.
A few of you have already seen this, but GameSpy has been converting its ForumPlanet site over to a new forum system. So far PlanetAFP, PlanetGrandTheftAuto, and PlanetHalfLife have been converted. We (the PlanetVampire staff) are working with the IGN/GameSpy staff to work out how and when PV's forums will be converted. Feel free to head over to this thread to discuss the migration.
