Populous on the DS

Apparently after nine long years EA is once again interested in the Populous series. EA Japan has released information about Populous on the Nintendo DS:

"This year's Tokyo Game Show is just gearing up and we have our first bit of news from the event. Populous, the classic god game for the PC, is being brought to the Nintendo DS by EA Japan. This news was revealed at a pre-TGS event held by EA in Shibuya."

So unfortunately, it's Populous I not Populous III, but it's good news for us, because after nine long years, EA's finally showing some interest in Populous. Don't get too excited becuase my guess is after this, the Populous series ends, but the possibility of seeing a new Populous has at least increased.

So anyway, updates with the site. I've finished the XHTML / CSS coded index and all I have to do now is code the rest of the pages in the same fashion, which won't take near as long.

Not sure when Populous Reversed is coming, but let's hope it's soon!

Forums Opened

The official The Dakini Hut forums are now open. You can access them by clicking "Forums" above. I've also added the cell phone content button and you should see something soon replacing the "Coming Soon!" button.

Note: If you had an account with The Dakini's Revenge forums, you have an account with these forums. Be sure to read the rules and regulations before posting.

Just An Update...

Whelp, I felt pretty bad because I haven't updated in over a month. I don't have anything to show right now besides a fixed downloads page (for some reason all of the links had /downloads/ before them so they didn't work), but there should be some updates coming soon. Some of these include:

Populous Reversed
Yes, for about the 3rd time, Populous Reversed is planned to be released on this page (currently bugged). It's been delayed in the past, but it's uploaded right now and I'm just waiting for it's creator, Shao, to get the program's link from his friend. You should see it on the site sometime in the next two weeks at the most, and hopefully I won't have to let you down this time.

A newly-coded site
The layout will be the same, but the coding will be different (hopefully XHTML), and there may be a new "General Populous Updates" box that just tells about the different things going on in Populous.

More images!
People have been submitting me their Populous Pics, and once I update the code on the site I'll update the images page, too!

New Cellphone Content Page and MatchMaker Skin

Hey everybody. Two new updates coming to the website. The first one is a cellphone content page. I have a few things up right now and I'll be adding more later. You can access it by clicking here, although it will be added to the navigation bar at the top sometime in the near future.

The second update is a new skin for the Populous: Reincarnated matchmaker. You should be seeing it on this page soon (if not now) under the name "The Dakini Hut." Once you see it, if you want it (trust me, it's pretty good), go ahead and download and install it. Then open up the matchmaker to view the new skin.

Well, that's all for this update!

Update: I've converted the ringtones from .WAV files to .mp3 files so that they're smaller and still sound great!

Vacationing

Hey all. I'll be on vacation from tomorrow (Sunday, July 8th) until July 13th, so don't expect any website updates until I return.

I'd just like to point out a couple of updates with the site. First of all I've finally got the ads working on the website. They shouldn't be that much of a distraction, and to be honest, I don't have a problem with them.

The second update is my tricks page. I've added a few more tricks, so check it out by clicking "tricks" above.

New Layout Finally Applied

I don't know if you remember or not, but I talked about applying a new update a while back. It was supposed to look somewhat like the solar system in Populous, but as I finished creating it, it turned into this. I like this layout because it looks somewhat like the layout I made for Populous 4: The Dakini's Revenge .
