February 2, 2007 - Welcome to IGN TV's What 2 Watch -- your guide to what's noteworthy on TV each night. You may notice we'll point out shows worth watching that air at the same time -- it's up to you to make a choice or fire up a DVR.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3
MythBusters: "Mentos and Soda" -- 7:00pm ET/PT on The Discovery Channel. REPEAT: Adam and Jamie are trying to figure out the theory behind the chaos when diet cola and mentos mix. Inspired by an Internet phenomenon, the Mythbusters take on the controversy surrounding these fizzy fountains. Adam and Jamie pit soda against soda and candy against candy to find the perfect cocktail for their explosive exploits. Meanwhile Kari, Tory and Grant are going postal with an aeronautical myth. Can posting a postage stamp on the rotor blades send a helicopter into a tailspin? A 45-cent stamp versus a $1.3 million machine: it's a David and Goliath story that could leave the Mythbusters with a very hefty repair bill.
World's Greatest Sports Bloopers -- 8:00pm ET/PT on ABC. Worlds Greatest Sports Bloopers, hosted by NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon and Olympic swimmer Summer Sanders, celebrates the best sports bloopers from around the world featuring fun and funny outtakes from every sport imaginable.

![]() | It seems like week after week the Cartoon Network has been finding the best episodes of Futurama to air. This week is no different as we get to watch one of my personal favorites: "Parasites Lost." If you haven't seen the episode, do yourself a favor and check it out - not often can a show be totally comedically absurd and heartwarming all at the same time. If anything this serves as a reminder of how great of a product Matt Groening and company can crank out if they put their minds to it - seriously if they can do this, somebody explain The Simpsons' current quality. |
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 4

![]() | It's Super Bowl Sunday everybody ready for some hilarious commercials!?! Seriously, though, Super Bowl XLI has shaped up to be a great game between two amazing teams. The Bears and The Colts both deserve to be where they are, and a football-hungry nation is going to absolutely love this game. But for those who don't enjoy football, there is the halftime performance with Prince and the bevy of high priced commercials. If you missed our Idiot Box feature on our favorite Super Bowl commercials, you should check it out - sounds like that is IGN TV's favorite part about the Super Bowl. |
Rome: "Testudo Et Lepus (The Tortoise And The Hare)" -- 9:00pm ET/PT on HBO. Her treachery exposed by Duro, Servilia finds herself in Atia's villa at the mercy of Timon. Searching for Vorenus in the Mutina countryside, Pullo runs into Octavian, who has just won a bloody battle against Mark Antony. The new Caesar has decided to return to Rome with his army, and sends Marcus Agrippa to tell Octavia and Cicero the news. Meanwhile, encamped with a new army of mercenaries in western Turkey, Brutus and Cassius have plans of their own. Vorenus and Pullo arrive at a slave camp in search of Vorenus' children, and are shocked to discover their fates.
Old School -- 9:00pm ET/PT on ABC. Mitch, Frank and Beanie are disillusioned with their personal lives beginning when Mitch's nymphomaniac girlfriend, Heidi, cheats on him, then former party animal Frank gets married, but unwilling to get go of his wild life, and Beanie is a family man seeking to reclaim his wild and crazy youth. Beanie suggests that they form their own fraternity in Mitch's new house on a college campus to re-live their glory days by bringing together a variety of misfit college students, losers, middle-aged and elderly retirees as their new friends and later try to avoid being evicted by the new Dean of Students, Pritchard, whom still holds a personal grudge against all three of them.
