EverQuest: The Buried Sea Media #3
Continuing our visual tour of locales in the upcoming expansion, the Sony team shows us Silyssar - New Chelsith

- Scheduled to launch in mid-February, EverQuest: The Buried Sea is the latest expansion for Sony Online Entertainment's seminal online world. As Norrath's sun fades, growing numbers of undead are rising from their crypts and graves to menace the land. Meanwhile, off the coast of Odus, more trouble looms in the lost city of Katta Castrum, where the artifact that powers and protects it has deteriorated. The add-on, which will be available via digital distribution, includes features like new areas to explore both above and below the waves, ship to ship combat against pirate foes, and a variety of additional quests.

Six exclusive 1600x1200 screenshots

Silyssar - New Chelsith

- The Shissar remain the masters of teleportation in Norrath with constantly evolving portal technology.
- Shissar intelligence knows no bounds. In Silyssar, they exploit the cracked protective dome in their underwater home to fill aqueducts to serve their needs.
- Mimicking the magic of the Pellarus Satum, the artifact that powers the Combine humans' city, the Shissar have created their own serpentine power source in Silyssar.
- Years ago, and unbenownst to the Combine, the vengeful Shissar claimed a destroyed habitat of a drowned race and built fortresses where they planned their rise to power.
- New Chelsith stands as a reminder of the power the Shissar held in Kunark until the advent of the Green Death thousands of years ago. They intend to get that power back.
- Forever maximizing their use of magic, technology, and space, the Shissar erected three temples within the swamp-filled dome, expertly levitating them for a natural defence.
