1) perfect refine rates based on your skills and even exact station tax rates. (I have tested countless scenarios and everything seems to work - if it doesn't forward me information).
2) character saving on the fly (by default you make a change to the character skills and it will save it to the root directory upon exit) - this saves the mineral prices too!
3) loading of auto saved character - why put your character's skills in more than once?
4) optional character saving - can save individual characters to any location to be loaded later
5) loading of character sheets from Eve-Mon and the Eve-O websites
6) saving an operation - you can save all of the ore/compounds mined in an operation, the number of people there, and more to be loaded as needed.

"I have just sent the fifteen players chosen at random for participation in the survey an e-mail asking for their mailing addresses so the prizes may be sent to them.
If you received an e-mail from me, please respond within the next two weeks. If you do not respond within that time frame, alternates will be contacted."
"FFB: How do you plan to make the walking in stations feature a significant part of the game, instead of just a gimmick?
CCP: The vision we have for the in-station atmosphere is to initially create a purely social hub where players can engage in non-combat activities. While we have some ideas that were working toward, were also very interested to know what the players themselves feel would be points of interest or venues they would like to see there, so were keeping an eye out for that sort of feedback as we move toward introducing this feature. One aspect of walking in stations that could really add immersion is the Corporate War Room where corporation members can all gather and view a shared 3D map and discuss strategy."
Veritas Immortalis Disbands[ 5 Comments ] Print News | Mail News | Category: Site News Another one of the more predominant alliances in Eve is closing it's doors. Veritas Immortalis(-V-) announced on Thursday that it will cease to exist as we know it. This is a sad day for Eve as -V- was a very well respected alliance throughout the galaxy. Read the full press release on the Eve-O forums.
EON Issue #6 Arrives[ 2 Comments ] Print News | Mail News | Category: EVE: Online News Today I finally received my EON Issue #6. Contained in it's shiny white envelope was the beautiful slick pages of the magazine itself and a nice booster pack for the Eve CCG. Perhaps the most intriguing article in the mag this time around is the one found on page 28 entitled "Eve's Next Step". Here's the teaser...
"Fancy stretching your legs between lengthy trade runs? Ever wondered what the air smells like in all those stations in the depths of lowsec? Need to go to the loo before you undock? Fear not, CCP is already working on the answers to your prayers."
The article focuses on the CCP announcement made at Fanfest that soon pod pilots will be able to exit their "gooey capsules" and "swagger about in a manner befitting one of hte ultra-elite of EVE society".
Yes - you'll be able to walk around the stations.
The codename for this internal project is called 'Ambulation'. According to the article, "Ambulation will be something you won't be forced to engage in - it will be something you can do if you wish." The article goes on to assure us that Ambulation won't change current gameplay, only enhance it...
"One of our key objectives for walking about in stations is to not take away any of the functionality that we currently enjoy. In short, you won't be forced to get out of your pods in order to speak to your agents or refine ore - all that can still be taken care of from your own cocoon of life-enriching goo."
You can read the full article and much more by placing an order for Issue #6 of EON.

"For the last two weeks my corp has been constantly harrased by ISS pilots. We have consistently been targeted by ISS pilots who we have not aggressed. We have no war with them, and until now had no reason to shoot them. This is now changing. The Praxis Initiative have been roaming around in curse and killing my corp members...
We have made contact with ISS reps who have done nothing. From now on all members of my corp shall agress ISS pilots on sight. We can not and will not continue to suffer losses to a supposedly neutral to all alliance.
We are more than willing to fight with any other corp or alliance who have also been stung by the injustice dished out by ISS in the south."
Is IAC being lured into a wardec against ISS by a third party? Is ISS trying to find a whipping boy to increase traffic at their outposts and thus increase their bottom line through war?
"Tranquility will undergo an extended downtime for database maintenance on Tuesday, 16 January. The extended downtime will occur from 1100 through 1500 GMT.
While the extended downtime is underway, we are asking for the community's assistance. As part of the ongoing effort to improve EVE's performance, we will be holding a stress test on Singularity and would like for as many members of the EVE community as possible to log into the test server. Once logged in, just play EVE as normal.
The test server will be running on the same version as Tranquility, so it will not be necessary to install a second client. We hope the server load during the stress test will help us troubleshoot some of the recent node issues.
It will not be necessary to set a long skill training for the extended downtime, but please ensure your skill training does not complete during the downtime."

"I was sitting right next to a station in the middle of Jita in a cloud of over fifty ships. There were over 500 pilots in this system alone and every one of them was panicking over the hulking menacing ship that had appeared in their presence . The numbers swelled even more as the ships that had been chasing me in Kisogo flew through the Jita gate. Then the comm unit started blaring out "Attention pirate Titan! This is Concord control of Jita. Heave to or be hulled!"
Oveur Waxes Poetic[ Comment ] Print News | Mail News | Category: EVE: Online News In his latest blog, Oveur waxes poetic about topics ranging from Eve in general, to the Revelations patches, to why wars are fought and what the goals of those wars are. We also get a little insight into what the devs are thinking about bringing us in the next few updates and expansions...
"We want to improve the goalsetting in warfare, by improving and adding options to player buildable infrastructure. This means improving Starbases, Outposts, Stations and Sovereignty. However, Warfare also needs something to fight with, so we want more tactical and strategic components there."
Custom tailor trade rules to your specs. Create loans, contracts, missions, and even auctions with EVE's flexible contract system, part of the recent Kali/Revelations expansion.
Impressive in both graphics and design, the world of EVE Online has countless scenes just waiting to be captured. Share your images with other EVE Online fans here at the Vault. You can do that using our Submit Content page, and we'll feature them on the front page of the EVE Vault!
"Just a reminder that the sixth issue of E-ON magazine will be sent out to buyers next week, very probably on the 10th. We're aware that there have been a couple of recent issues with the ordering system, but we're assured that it's all been fixed.
It may also interest you to know (though perhaps not) that after 18 months of gammy legs and sudden headaches, I've run out of excuses to get out of joining the other MMM regulars on envelope-stuffing duty. So, not only will you get your mag a couple of days early, along with a free booster pack of 15 CCG cards, but your magazine could be handled by yours truly. Yes, I might even wash my hands in celebration. You lucky, lucky people :) "
