Millar Once to Take Over X-Men 13:30 PST | Lance | Print News | Mail News Here's an interesting little tidbit from the Millarworld forums: Mark Miller (Civil War, Ultimates) was once in the running to take over the entire X-Men franchise. Sometime last year, Marvel offered Millar the position, but he decided instead to apply his efforts towards Civil War. This apparently led to the hiring of Brubaker and Carey onto the main pillar X-Men books instead.
All of this comes just after Millar posted a joke thread in which he claimed to be taking over Uncanny X-Men with Ultimates artist Bryan Hitch. He claims that this isn't the case, but says that he will be taking over a prominent Marvel book soon. Whether or not it's X-Men related is yet to be seen.
