Mailbag for November 21, 2006
The Return of the PS2 Mailbag!
That's right, after a two and a half month absence, the PS2 mailbag is back to answer your questions. Let's jump right into the top of the bag and burrow our way towards the bottom of the piled up submissions...
Guitar Hero Help
Is the controller for guitar hero 2 backwards compatable for guitar hero 1?
-- Chris
Yes Chris, the Mini Gibson SG controller that you've bought for the first Guitar Hero will work on the sequel and vice versa. So if you happen to have purchased the two games out of order, don't worry. You'll still be able to rock with the guitar gods with these two excellent games. Plus, if you wind up accidentally breaking your axe from rocking too hard, you can use the standard controller as a substitute.

SOCOM Review M.I.A.
how come you guys haven't posted the socom combined assault review?
-- Siddharth
We've been a bit busy, Siddharth, considering that the PS3 launched with a lot of games that needed to be reviewed, as well as catching up on previously released titles. However, we are working on getting a ton of reviews that have slipped through the cracks posted in the next few days. Keep an eye out for the SOCOM: Combined Assault to be posted in the next 48 hours, as well as DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi 2, The Sopranos, Eragon, Superman Returns and others in the next few days.

Where's Our Zombies?
Has there been anything heard on if PS2 would ever make a remake of Zombies Ate My Neighbors, I had the game for Sega Genesis when I was younger, but somewhere along the lines I lost it and it'd be great to see that game remade for the PS2 before they start to primarily focus on the PS3.
-- Jim
Great question for a great game, Jim. The horror spoof title, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, was an excellent title for both the Genesis and the SNES. Unfortunately, we haven't heard anything about a remake of the game coming out on any systems at all. The closest title that loosely retains the "spirit" of ZAMN that we've seen is Monster Madness, which won't be coming out on the PS2. It's scheduled for the PS3, 360 and PC.

Smackdown More Videos!
hey i like the site but how come you dont have any more videos for smackdown vs raw 2007
-- Michael
3 simple reasons, Michael. 1. Our countdown for the wrestlers of Smackdown Vs. Raw 2007 ended a while ago, and both our video review and written review have been posted on the site. 2. The game is now out in stores, so players interested in the game can experience the brawl in the squared circle for themselves. 3. We've got a lot of other titles to focus on now.

We Want TNA!
will yall make TNA Make Video game for playstations 2
-- Rocky
It never fails, regardless of the mailbag... Once again, people -- We don't make games, we review them. Secondly, Midway is releasing a TNA based title, which we'll cover as it gets closer to its release. TNA: iMPACT! should be out sometime next year.

Catching a breather
Talk about burning the midnight oil... While it's been a long time since we've hit the mailbag, we've covered the launch on a new system, posted a ton of PS2 and PSP reviews, and barely slept through any of that time. I know I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving, not so much for the food, but for the extra time to rest up. Happy gaming to all!
