Dwarfs
Mainly because its a race of small targets. One thing I found in daoc was the smaller you are the harder you are to click on. Firbolg Druids anyone. Lurikeens where always good for hideing in bushes, underwater and inside other people. Also I really like the sounds of the iron breaker. I'm hopeing that through class specilisation some will be more centered on attack and others defense and so it wont just be a case of either kill the ironbreaker first time every time or the paladin cenario. Which is often left behind to go out scouting for other grps rather than waste the time trying to kill one.

Green skins have me piqued. It's the Goblins. I have always wanted to play one. The squid herder sounds really interesting as well. Then there is the melee oriented orcs.

Dark Elves, because my guild is going destruction and I've no interest in being greenskin or chaos. Although I have to admit the info that's come out about chaos is really something awesome. If there's chaos females I may be tempted  But Dark Elves otherwise

While Chaos females are rare in the Warhammer IP they have existed so there is no reason to exclude them in W.A.R. If I remember correctly, the first Felix and Gotrek novel featured a female Chaos Warlord and she was just as bad-ass as the rest of them.
As for me I'll be playing Dwarfs. I've played Dwarfs for 13 years on the tabletop. I love their stubborness, celtic/norse theme and their expertise at siege warfare.

also Dwarfs... i love their lore, not just in Warhammer as it was tolkien who first got me hooked on dwarfs. Dwarfs are just cool and as i normally play tank in any game i come across i thought Dwarfs would be the best choice. The fact that my friends will also be playing Dwarfs does indeed also count, tho they use other arguments as size and the fun of being the underdogs (that current polls show, they can change tho). My main focus atm is on the Hammerer as i like bashing things so i hope to be out waving around a badass hammer when WAR releases :P

Yes she was very nasty. I wonder if some of the better known charecters will make it in as NPC's. I would hate to run into Gotrek and his band of Troll Slayers.

My guild whilst all playing differnet games stays together on the boards. Once WAR draws closer to being ready for release we'll make a decision on what side to chose. I have the distinct fealing we will be Destruction. From their I'll have to look at the individual aspects of each class. 4 Paragraph discriptions isnt enough for me to go off atm.
One thing I was wondering is if there was going to be any racial abilities similar to WoW. I realise its a bit different with classes exsclusive to their race but it would be cool to have some racial abilities. That being said they are always a pain to balance.

On every game I've played, I've been part of a new guild. Each of them were great, but once I was done with a game, I keep close with 2-3 via e-mail or phone, just to keep in touch. Generally it's myself and 2 friends that decide as a group where we'll be going, and generally a few old guildies follow. On this one, I'll have to swing by my old guild boards, as I'm sure a large number of them will be at least trying the game out. So far, I'm definitely looking at the destruction side. As of now, the squig herder just sounds too original to overlook. Crawl inside it and use it as armor? Multiple constant pets, each with different abilities? Closest thing I've heard to that was a CoV mastermind, but even then you didn't get to choose which pets you took with you other than at character creation. As far as specific races, Goblins sound neat, Chaos could be wicked, and there's got to be a reason they're saving Dark Elves for last... Depending on how customizable the races are, I'll be looking at class originality, and fun factor, rather than what I'm going to look like.

Theyre all pretty interesting and diverse so far, going to make it hard too choose one I'll stick with to be honest. Always liked chaos so it's where I'll end up for now
