December 5, 2006 - Anime fans in this part of the globe finally have something to stuff their stockings with this holiday season. The Hellsing Ultimate OVA series will make an appearance on US shores this December 5 on DVD, proving to the world's naysayers that there is indeed a market in America for androgynous, gun-wielding, vampire-hunting vampires.

The series dramatizes the ongoing struggle between Hellsing, a British organization trusted with protecting the world's populace from vampires, and a militant group of bloodsuckers bent on casting the entire world in destruction. Alucard, the series' main icon and leading vampire exterminator for Hellsing, is a conflicted soul that enjoys the hunt but is puzzlingly vague about his like being Hellsing's go-to guy. However, despite his wishes, he finds himself in the middle of this unending tussle between good and evil.
