April 1, 2005 - IGN has always been on top of things; that's why we periodically gather a list of the nastiest game-stopping glitches and offer recommendations on how to avoid them. While not everyone is destined to experience the same "bugs", we know how frustrating they can be for the gamers who do face them. Here're some recently reported glitches/bugs to look out for:Dragon Ball Z Sagas, God Of War, Prince of Persia The Warrior Within, Dark Cloud 2, & WWESVR.
God Of War
Platform: Playstation 2
Bug/Glitch: I just wanted you to know after playing God of War on the PS2 for more than 8 hours today, I discovered a bug. During Hades Challenge in Pandora's Temple, after you receive the new magic from Hades, you are forced into a battle with many foes to try out your new magic. I found that if you use the new magic once, you can get through the door Hades blocks with no problem. However, if you use the new magic TWICE in a row and thereby obliterating the enemies, the game does not see it as a completion of the task. Even after all the enemies are beaten, all exits are blocked and no more enemies appear. I was able to replicate this bug 3 times in a row, before finally just using the magic once and finishing the rest of the enemies by my Blades of Chaos.
Fix/Solution: None provided. IGN could not duplicate bug. Possible disc misread.

WWE Smackdown! Vs Raw
Platform: Playstation 2
Bug/Glitch: Hello! I've encountered a problem when playing WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW. As I was having a match with Chris Jericho by playing Batista in the Season Mode, at the end of the match-up (I thought) I was going to defeat Y2J (his head and body were bright red). When I got Jericho out of the ring onto the floor, my game stuck. Not just stuck, but frozen. Also, my controller was vibrating furiously. I had no way of getting out of that situation, except for qutting the game. The same problem occurred to me a few days after. And because I couldn't save the game from the locker room, nor from the pause menu, I almost lost all my progress. Thank you for taking time to read this.

Dark Cloud 2
Platform: Playstation 2
Bug/Glitch: In the under ground channel, there is a hat freezes the first time you enter it if you don't enter it right. the floor is Ghost In The Channel. If you exit the channel, then re-enter it at that floor(on your first playthrough of the channel) the game will freeze. So, go to the last floor you were on before Ghost In The Channel, and play through that level, and go without stopping, through ghost In The Channel, the game won't freeze.

Prince of Persia The Warrior Within
Platform: Not specified.
Bug/Glitch: I've enjoyed POP WW for a while now, but I'm stuck near the end. I've just pushed the empress into the portal but can't follow her through. I've restarted the gc, tried a saved game.. nothing seems to work. Can't go anywhere from here ! The way I came in is blokked, the water sword doesn't help with the block.
Fix/Solution: None provided. Reloading the game from an earlier point may solve this problem. Primarily try to play through without dying, loading or retrying to minimise bugs.

ESPN College Basketball

Bug/Glitch: In a previous bug report: I think this was brought up, but my ESPN College Basketball is freezing during the recruit periods. On the seventh day while it goes through recruiting it just freezes. Every other mode works but this.
Fix/Solution: When recruiting like emailing a player or going to visit him or whatever save your legacy. It works for me on my xbox, just save after each time you recruit a player.

Dragon Ball Z Saga

Bug/Glitch: I Bought DBZ Sagas for PS2 yesterday, beat the game in 10 hours and got everything on the game, and i went through with a friend into the Pendulum area, where you can choose any character and re-play any area of the game with that character. I was Broly, my friend was Bardock, and we were one of the areas. Since Broly is such a large character, i over jumped one of the boundaries on a side mountain, and was able to jump off the map and fly around outside of it, escaping the pre-rendered backgrounds, and eventually falling into what we called hell, simply an area devoid of tangibility. We fell forever into a black screen, able to see the sprite overlap, and still functioning our sprites, we were able to make colors and things that would make someone on acid have a heart attack! Just thought i'd post this incase anyone wanted to try it (not the acid, just the glitch).
