Mobile broadband
Things are heating up in the realm of mobile broadband. Sprint and its competitors are quickly upping the ante when it comes to the speed of service that it provides on its networks.Back in August 2006, Sprint announced its roll out of an upgraded broadband technology known as EV-DO Revision A with faster download speeds that average between 450 kbps and 800 kbps.
For the mobile professional, this means shorter waits to check your e-mail and surf the internet. With the countless hours spent on the road, this could be the answer to waiting until you get back to the hotel before you get connected. Mobile broadband modems are available in PCMCIA Type II, ISB and ExpressCard formats.
Logitech Alto Keyboard
The Alto Keyboard from Logitech combines a full-sized keyboard with a notebook stand to prop up your laptop to eye level. For those of you who work almost exclusively on your laptop, it provides a welcome change to a far more expensive docking station if you suffer from bad posture because you are constantly slouching down to see the screen.The full-sized keyboard is also useful for those who are accustomed to using the number pad on the side, something that is missing on smaller notebook keyboards. When it is not in use, the keyboard can also be folded away.
