November 30, 2006 - One of the most fascinating and time-sucking features of Nintendo's Wii console is the Mii Channel. Users simply power up their Wii and click on the channel to perform a variety of tasks, from creating customized avatars of themselves or their friends and family to trading Mii characters with friends over WiiConnect24.

Although Nintendo's new generation system has been available for less than two weeks in America, there are already literally thousands of Miis floating around Wii's enclosed network. Gamers have recreated their likenesses for the virtual arena, but they've also designed Mii iterations of celebrities. It is therefore not uncommon to open up Mii Parade and find Samuel L. Jackson and Ali G hanging out with some of your recognizable friends and family.

The IGN editors have probably spent too much time in the Mii Channel and the result is the characters you see below -- a small, but nevertheless frightening sample of Miis that could be hitting a Wii console near you.
