The Podcast goes over just about all the new feateres for BFME2 ROTWK, and has tons of great in game footage that has been shown at IGN and Gamespot a few weeks ago. Middle Earth Monday Print News | Mail News | Category: BFME2 Exp. - B4ME2 Once again EA has provided more content for Middle Earth Monday. This week EA has given us a new wallpaper which is linked below along with news on the Black N�menorean Emissary & the Thrall Masters. Here is a snipit from the post on EA official BFME2 site.
A Black N�menorean emissary who can summon and command a different horde of unit thralls in the service of the Witch-king. These thrall units are extremely weak but can serve as the first line of defense against a variety of enemy unit types. The Thrall Master is build for a cost equal to that of the lowest of the 4 units types. Summoning that unit is free, summoning one of the others has an additional cost depending on unit type.

1up ROTWK Preview Print News | Mail News | Category: BFME2 Exp. 1up has posted a new preview of what is to be seen within ROTWK. The info and story line has been regeratated once again and really doesn't give us any new info. Here is a blurp of the preview:
Angmar also gets a unit called the Thrall Master, who runs around the battlefi eld and, on the fl y, can summon basic infantry to fi ght for him. Rahimi says this works a bit like a game of rockpaper- scissors, with players assessing a tactical situation and reacting by calling either Gundabad Warriors (orcs), Wolf Riders, Rhudaur Spearmen, or Rhudaur Axe Throwers. Elite units will include Dark Dunedain (extra-extra evil men), Hill Trolls with siege hammers (Angmar's pikemen), Snow Trolls (cavalry), and four new heroes: Hwaldar, chief of the Rhudaur hillmen; Rogash, a giant troll with a jump attack that trumps Gimli's; Morgomir, another Nazgul and the Witch-King's right-hand, er, wraith; and "The Whisperer," a man who's basically suffered Frodo's fate, had the Morgul blade sent our favorite hobbit over to the dark side.

BFME2 ROTWK Wallpaper Print News | Mail News | Category: BFME2 Exp. I was able to snag a nice high resolution image of the BFME2 ROTWK Logo, so with that I have created 2 new Wallpapers. I have included 1600 x 1200 and 1024 x 768 versions. If you would like the Wallpaper at a different resolutions shot me a PM and I will get it out to you.
BFME2 WOTR Mod Print News | Mail News | Category: B4ME2 I was able to play around with this new mod last night and have to say it makes a huge difference in the way WOTR plays out. I encourage anyone who likes WOTR to check it out.
EA's Art Team Print News | Mail News | Category: Community This is not directly tied to BFME, but I found an interesting story published at CG Society tonight that talked about EA's "Tiburon" Division. The article displays some pretty spectacular art from the new Superman and talks about what programs they used and the insight that drove them to draw it. Make sure to check it out here. On a side note you should recognize the name Tae-Sik Yang from some of the BFME series concept art.

With that said I think it is a good idea to give our 2 cents on how we are felling about this new expansion. BFME2 ROTWK Official Trailer Print News | Mail News | Category: BFME2 Exp. - B4ME2 Gamespot today was the first site to get their hands on the new Rise of the Witch-King video EA has been hinting at for the last few weeks. The video shows us in game footage of almost all the new units and powers, along with glimpses of the new expanded War of The Ring, and Create-A-Hero. From my point of view the game is really shaping up to be worth the $29.99 price tag. But I would like to see more of the features this game will harness such as info on the single player campaign and find out what was done to War of the Ring..

BFME2 The Rise of the Witch-King Q&A; Print News | Mail News | Category: BFME2 Exp. Gamespot was able to snag a few moments with Producer Amir Rahimi, to get a Good Q&A; session revolving around BFME2 ROTWK. The Q&A; goes over some of the info we already know about and it also covers a bit more info on section we don't know about. Here is a snipit form the Q&A; session.
GS: There's going to be more of a focus on sieges and building elaborate defenses in the expansion than there was in the core game. Are you trying to get back to the epic sieges seen in the original Battle for Middle-earth, such as the Battle for Minas Tirith? How are you going to make players want to build walls rather than build up armies and simply crush opponents? After all, the best defense is a good offense.
AR: One piece of feedback that we've gotten from our fans is that siege warfare was underpowered in The Battle for Middle-earth II. Elite units could easily destroy buildings and were effective against other units. Therefore, in most situations, there was no need to spend thousands of resources on siege weapons. In The Rise of the Witch-King we have rebalanced siege warfare to make it a more viable and interesting tactic. Infantry will no longer be as effective against structures, particularly walls and fortresses. Siege weapons will be faster and less damaging to allied units. Therefore, they will be easier to get across the map in order to destroy an enemy base and more effective as artillery in infantry battles.

ROTWK Images Flowing Print News | Mail News | Category: BFME2 Exp. The 6 images that were post by IGN the other day seem to be assets sent not only to IGN but too many other gaming sites. As both Gamespot, and Gamespy have now posted the same images on their sites. But one thing to note is we do know of one other major piece of content coming, as EA told us Gamespot will have a video tonight showing us more BFME2 ROTWK. So sit tight as I keep my eyes pealed for more new content.
