I would rather watch The Colbert Report
|

Of the two of them. I just like it more, and it's been that way for a while now. More straight up comedy without having to make statements about stuff. He does a better job interviewing people I don't care about as well. Only problem is he has that one time per show where he stumbles over whatever he is saying, something Jon rarely does.

I like them both equally. Sometimes TDS is funnier, sometimes TCR is.

Wow you have never watched the colbert report...
Almost the entire show is making one big point...
and they call it satire

I have to agree Ras, I'm finding that TDS is slowly becoming more like Bill Maher's show. Make a joke, make a point, loud applause. It's almost become monotonous,

I agree, TDS is just a big Bush joke now. Whether you like Bush or not there is only so much of the same joke you can take.

The general consensus seems to be that TCR is only getter better, wheras TDS is getting stale. I love both, and I think they're the perfect compliments to each other, but TDS needs to find a reliable correspondent like Colbert was. They haven't really established Ed Helms or Rob Corrdry as the lead correspondent like Colbert was.

They need to establish Rob and Ed as the main correspondants by giving them even more pieces. Also, I loved Demetri Martin's stuff on there so I hope they try to keep him around more often. Now if they had Samantha Bee, that would be plenty of people, and then maybe after Jon is done with the Oscars he can write some better material. 
The Colbert Report is a much better show right now.
