Shaped like a boomerang for maximum return...

LocoUpdato

You guys may already know about this, but if you update your PSP to firmware version 2.71, you can download a free demo version of LocoRoco and play it from your memory stick. This might be interesting news for some IGN readers.

-- David

Actually David, we made sure to pass that news along at the beginning of the month. In fact, you can check out that news here. You can also see the announcement whenever you go to the profile of the game itself, but thanks for helping spread the word!

Talk More To Me, Man!

Will sony be makinf new talkman games with different languages such as, Icelandic, Estonian and Russian, please look into this for me

-- Dean

Well Dean, we're still keeping our fingers crossed that the productive translation tool makes its way across to North American shores, considering that it was released in Japan last November and in Europe just last month. It's entirely plausible that future Talkman titles will feature different languages, but it would probably depend on a number of factors, such as how successful the overall "game" is, or how useful/difficult it would be to develop all of those various "translation" idiosyncrasies for newer languages.

Portable ZOE?

Hey guys, I know you played Zone of Enders on the PS2, it is such a good fast-paced game and i think it would adapt very well to the PSP, so why hasent it been made? If you know anything let me know. We need more huge freakin' robots with guns games man!

-- Steven

Everything's better with huge freakin' robots with guns, right? Well Steven, while Zone of the Enders and its sequel were enjoyable on the PS2, I wouldn't expect that you'll see it coming out on the PSP or even a sequel on the PS2 anytime soon. Kojima has his hands full with a small, unanticipated little title known as MGS4, and he's most likely going to be busy with that until 2007. After that, maybe he'll turn his attention to ZOE again, and only then will we possibly find out if there will be a portable version.

Crisis or Dirge?
Hey there,

I got a question for you guys at ign.com. I have been keeping a close eye on the coming soon list on EBgames.com cause it does tend to be pretty reliable. For the last month or two I have noticed that ebgames.com has given a release date of the beginning of August for Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. Is that an official date from Square-Enix???? I'm very confused cause Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII has been given tons of attention and YET it's due out AFTER the date listed for Crisis Core? Do you know anything about this? Can you clear up this confusion? Thanks. :)

-- Johnny

Well, Dirge of Cerberus is getting much more attention because it's coming out this summer, while everything that we've seen points to Crisis Core coming out in Q1 of 2007. It's entirely possible that EB mistook the date from an earlier release calendar, or they were doing a bit of prognostication on their own.
