The Saints, of course, are coming off an emotional win over the Falcons and have taken command of their division thanks to a relentless ground game and the sure hand of Drew Brees (you think the Dolphins regret picking Pep over Brees just a little right now?). Carolina needed a desperation field goal to hold off the 0-3 jinx, and are now looking to gain some ground on the Saints and the NFC playoff chase.

This is just one of the intriguing match-ups of Week 4, a week that will continue to separate the haves from the have-nots.

ESPN Cold Pizza's NFL expert Lomas Brown and I both had solid picks for Week 3, predicting 10 out of 14 games while Madden finished last with 8. Before we move on to this week's picks, however, Lomas is here to give you some insight into Week 4.

On New Orleans at Carolina: I'm going with New Orleans. I love the running game with Deuce and Reggie back there, but it's their defense that is playing inspired right now. I think these boys can get on a roll, and I know how Sean Payton is, he used to be one of my coaches on the Giants, and he instills a lot of confidence in the offensive unit. Look for the Saints to keep winning.

On San Diego at Baltimore: I think the Ravens are going to send a lot of pressure at Rivers, and I don't think he's going to be able to handle it. I want to see how he comes through this game, but right now, I just think that defense is going to be flying at him, and that's something he hasn't had to face yet.

On Detroit at St. Louis: Detroit is the kind of team that will win a few of these that they have no business winning, and this is one of those games. The team is in shambles, but I believe Rod Marinelli can get them motivated to play better, and it starts in St. Louis.

On Seattle at Chicago: Seattle's offensive line just isn't the same anymore, and the Bears are going to put a tremendous amount of pressure on Hasselbeck. When offense meets defense, it's usually the defense that ends up on top, so I'm going with the Bears.
