September 19, 2006 - Most people remember the classic Battlestar Galactica from the Seventies for being somewhat intriguing science-fiction fluff. The new version of the series (as developed by the show's executive producer, Ronald D. Moore) is undoubtedly a grittier and bleaker vision of the ensuing war between humans and the Cylons, a trait that has undoubtedly contributed to the show's growing fan base and critical appeal.
In seeming tribute to fans (and quite possibly to gain new ones), Battlestar Galactica is planning to air a one-hour recap special in October highlighting the ongoing drama of the lauded series. Although primarily geared to trumpet the launch of its third season, the recap special, titled Battlestar Galactica: The Story So Far, will include scenes from the miniseries as well as the two existing seasons.

Battlestar Galactica: The Story So Far will air on all NBC Universal properties and online on SCIFI.com's broadband channel, Pulse. The show will also be available for download in September from iTunes and from the Xbox Live Marketplace, the first time a long form program has ever been made available on the gaming service. Visit the recap special's official site for scheduling and more information.
