GRAND THEFT AUTO: LIBERTY CITY STORIES
SPECIAL VEHICLES GUIDE
Version 1.4
By GTA_Loco
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
1. WELCOME TO THE GARAGE
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The creation of this guide was inspired to a great deal by System Error's cool
Bulletproof Car guide for GTA: San Andreas which covered comprehensively the
special vehicles that can be found in the game. So all efforts to try to make
this one a cool guide as well would be significantly attributed to that cool
dude.
Ok, so it's all about the Special Vehicles in GTA: Liberty City Stories. You
might then ask, so what's so special about these special vehicles? We are
talking here of practically any ride able means of land transportation, most
of them are basically the same ones you can find driving around the cities
except that they have qualities which are not your everyday staple.
If you've played the GTA Trilogy before, part of the games' bonus stuffs are
these so-called special vehicles you can find in different missions. They have
special properties which are not obtainable from ordinary vehicles you see
driving around in free roam, neither would you be able to modify this in-game
in a way.
In a broader sense they can be taken too as part and parcel of the game's
Easter Eggs or hidden stuffs, except that throughout the years they've been
somewhat classified differently. Most of these special vehicles may have an
appearance that can seem as obviously ordinary as other things you see around
the game but when examined carefully they have qualities that set them apart.
These qualities may range from the trivial to something really very useful
like the bulletproofing.
Basically, we're talking here of four main aspects that make these vehicles
special:
1) Proofing. Vehicle protection from certain types of destruction.
2) Exclusive colors in their vehicle class.
3) Uniqueness. A type of vehicle that's one of its kind.
4) Rarity. Something that's difficult to find or obtain.
Note that we're referring here to mostly main storyline missions and side
missions-based ones, having properties not created by cheat codes but as
assigned to them in the game script, legitimately special to say it another
way and obtainable without cheating. Cheating may be fun to an extent but
somehow also spoils the fun and challenge.
In Liberty City Stories however, so far there's at least one vehicle that you
can obtain by using one cheat but without altering the vehicle's property.
I will include in this guide as valid contributions only those that are not
cheat-modded special vehicles, or vehicles whose special properties have been
altered by using modding device or cheat codes. Rather strict huh? Well that
should encourage you to brush up more on your gamesmanship then.
This guide would be divided into six sections:
1.PROOFED VEHICLES
2.EXCLUSIVELY COLORED VEHICLES
3.IDENTICAL SPECIAL VEHICLES
4.UNIQUE VEHICLES
5.RARE VEHICLES
6.UNOBTAINABLE SPECIAL VEHICLES.
This would also attempt to document practically every single special vehicle
you can find in the game, inclusion of many of them would mainly be for the
purpose of completion of the list only. Definitely not all of them are worth
the trouble acquiring or that many of them are practically useless to have,
aside from the fact that there aren't enough garages to store them.
Some methods would include a few details in the walkthrough, so please just
bear with reading through them. They might be useful in giving you a bigger
picture of the environment you have to work around on to facilitate your quest
for the special vehicles.
Regularly this guide would be updated if new finds and/or better methods were
submitted. Once a list is completed, any additional contributions on the same
vehicle(s) would be entertained as confirmations.
So maybe now we're clear about everything somehow? If you have something to
contribute or inform me about anything related to this guide, please write me
here:
srgvm2005@yahoo.com
I'll be more than glad to correspond with you on anything about special
vehicles ONLY, but not on anything else about the game. Please just do that in
the proper forum or consult other guides.
Lastly, try to be considerate. Much effort has been given to produce this
guide so if you're interested to make some reference to or may want to use
this for whatever purpose, please ask permission first then I can probably
allow you. Of course, credit should also be given to where credit is due.

4. SOME GARAGE NOTES
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Just like in GTA3, you are given in this game only one garage per island where
you can store your vehicles but unlike in GTA3 and Vice City as well, these
garages are not opened from the very start of the game. You don't need to buy
them though like in San Andreas, but you do have to complete all the main
missions in one island and need to have access to the next before you can be
able to save and store vehicles in a safe house. If you're in Staunton Island,
there are at least a couple of ways you can access Shoreside Vale where you'll
find the hidden races where the Exclusively Colored Cheetahs and PCJ 600 can
be found and the side mission "See the Sight Before Your Flight" where you can
get the Bulletproof/Fireproof Landstalker are available already, but given
that you can't store them yet in your garage there, it'll be almost pointless
to attempt obtaining those special vehicles early on since there might be some
vehicles that you need to prioritize obtaining in Staunton Island first given
the limited garage space.
Note also that due to the very limited garage given to you and the fact that
there's quite a lot of special vehicles you can find would logically mean you
have to decide which ones only you'd like to get. Quite obviously it would be
practical to collect the bulletproof ones although this would be best left to
anyone's preference.
*****************************************************************************
4.01: Garage Capacity
*****************************************************************************
Contrary to some perceptions, you can maximize storage in your garages even
when you get a message that you've reached maximum capacity already. Garages
in this game have an absolute capacity of 4 vehicles even though the game
dictates a technical capacity of only 1 in Portland and 2 in Staunton and 3 in
Shore side Vale.
By Absolute Capacity we refer to the maximum number of vehicles you can
actually save in the garage without the risk of being "eaten" by it.
By Technical Capacity we mean at how many vehicles the garages would only open
to allow you to store any vehicle. This function is perhaps designed as a
safety mechanism, allotting one vehicle equivalent of space in the garages to
prevent stored vehicles from possibly disappearing. This does not necessarily
mean though that you can't store any more than what's allotted to you
technically in the game. It'll all boil down to some clever layout of the
vehicles inside the garage in relation to their sizes.
As many GTA gamers are aware of, if the garage door won't open anymore, one
way to bypass this is to park the vehicle you wish to store by the garage
door, then grab a small to medium sized vehicle whether a car, bike, etc and
use it to wedge the door open, parking it half in and half out, then drive the
vehicle(s) you wish to store while the door is opened. There maybe occasions
when the door would remain opened after you've parked in the vehicle to be
stored. If this happens, you can just get in another vehicle you can grab
nearby without leaving the garage door opened long enough or going too far
away from it, for some reasons it'd just close automatically for you.
In brief, here is a list of the approximate number and sample types of
vehicles that can be stored in your garages:
1.PORTLAND ISLAND
Capacity: 3 or 4 (risky though)
Vehicles: One (1) small to medium sized car like a Thunder Rodd or Kuruma and
two (2) motorbikes or Two (2) small sized car like a Thunder Rodd and Manana
and two (2) motorbikes.
2.STAUNTON ISLAND
Capacity: 4
Vehicles: Could vary on the size of the vehicles you're storing but a sample
of what I can store there is: One (1) Banshee, one (1) Stallion, one (1) Rhino
and one (1) Faggio or One (1) Banshee, one (1) Stallion, one (1) Patriot and
one (1) Stretch.
3.SHORESIDE VALE
Capacity: 4
Vehicles: Could vary also on the size of the vehicle you're storing but a
sample of what I can store there is: One (1) Forelli Exsess, one (1) Patriot,
one (1) Stretch and one (1) Banshee. A Rhino won't fit here since the
clearance of the door is too low.
Know the size of the car you're storing and try experimenting with how you can
position them inside. You can try storing them all sideways or just some of
them, depending on the length and width of a certain car. Take note also that
the Staunton Island and Shoreside Vale garages have a high ceiling and allow
enough room for you to conveniently jump on small size cars should you need to
push them out after jamming them in. In Portland, though the ceiling is lower,
you can still manage to jump on a small car like the Manana.
There have been problems in most GTA games but more notably in San Andreas
regarding cars vanishing in garages, one cause of which is believed to be in
having more than the supposed maximum capacity. It could be one cause but it
might depend also on a case-to-case basis.
*****************************************************************************
4.02: New Garage Feature
*****************************************************************************
In PS2 and PSP version and I'm not sure if it'll be the same case with the
other platforms, all the garages in Liberty City Stories do not restore any
destroyed vehicle unlike in the GTA Trilogy. Garages in Liberty City Stories
can repair damaged vehicles all right, but if you try regenerating a burnt and
wrecked vehicle, it would always disappear once you let the garage door close
on it. This unfamiliar feature would make it impossible to resort to this as
an aspect of a trick in obtaining the special vehicles, particularly the
proofed ones. In the GTA Trilogy, one trick in obtaining some special vehicles
requires that you fail the mission by destroying the car first, sometimes by
blowing it up in order to "preserve" its special qualities, then restoring it
in the garage after you fail the mission. Variation of this includes
committing suicide inside the garage with the destroyed vehicle.
But in Liberty City Stories this doesn't seem to apply at all given the fact
that a blown up car is always eaten inside the garages. One would notice too
the garages don't repair vehicles at any point while a mission is in progress,
which also runs the risk of the vehicle disappearing if left for a long time
far away from the garage.
So this fact only leaves now the option of ditching the car into the water in
order to 'destroy" it without blowing it up should this method is needed to
obtain the proofed ones.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
5. DEFINITION OF TERMS
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
First things first, let's understand the meaning of each special quality.
We'll cover here the different attributes possessed by the special vehicles
which we're going to define here on each own for purpose of clarity and mainly
for reference. Anyone having one or more of these (except the
Comprehensiveproof) will be termed occasionally in or outside of this guide
for purpose of brevity as the following example: BP/EP/FP -
Bulletproof/Explosionproof/Fireproof; BP/FP - Bulletproof/Fireproof, etc.
BP - Bulletproof: Protected from any form of gunfire. It can unlimitedly
withstand ALL types of bullet-based firearms ranging from pistols to a
minigun.
EP -Explosion Proof: As the term implies, any form of explosive devise or form
of explosion cannot destroy a vehicle that has this quality; be it hand
grenades, RPGs, exploding vehicles or even a cannon fire from a Rhino!
FP - Fireproof: You can say the least of all protections. Fire retardant and
indestructible from any form of blaze be it from a Molotov to a flamethrower
and the vehicle wouldn't catch fire that might destroy it.
DP -Damage Proof: Vehicle does not sustain any form of physical destruction,
in terms of denting and deterioration of its health due to constant physical
abuse like crashing or getting hit with non firearm/explosive weapons.
Motorbikes for one don't get dented but you'll know if they sustain damaging
from crashing if you see them smoke after awhile.
EC - Exclusive Color: Some vehicles do not have any proofing at all, but have
a color that is unobtainable from any Pay n Spray. The colors aren't anything
unique by themselves, but something you would find only in one vehicle from
among the rest in its class. In some cases the "exclusivity" of a color scheme
is in the way they are applied to a given vehicle. They may be the same colors
you can ordinarily get from the vehicle but the application can be "reversed".
There are some vehicles though that sport an exclusive color and are proofed
at the same time.
CP - Comprehensive Proof: It's essentially a BP/EP/FP/DP or perhaps one you
can say as "indestructible" or "invulnerable". A vehicle that has all the
proofing it can possibly have. Most forms of damaging means under NORMAL
circumstances cannot destroy it, be it with whatever type of weapons or
physical abuse.
Let's just be a bit clear about this though. There are some ways that can
still destroy a vehicle of this type:
1) Flipping it upside down, the vehicle consequently catching fire and
exploding.
2) Riding the vehicle while you're on fire consequently setting it ablaze and
destroying it when it explodes,
3) A bump from a Rhino and
4) Using the blow up all cars cheat.
A fifth maybe is if it falls into the water and is irretrievable. Otherwise,
this is the maximum type of protection your vehicle can have which is very
ideal for doing punishing and dangerous tasks.
UNIQUE - A vehicle that has a totally different look from the rest. A one of
its kind in the game, something that doesn't only have an exclusive paintjob
but with features that belongs to that vehicle only. You wouldn't see any
other similar type driving around any of the cities nor spawned anywhere else.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
6. A FEW TIPS ON LOOKING FOR SPECIAL VEHICLES
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
So how can you know then if a vehicle you've stumbled upon during a mission is
a special one? You can simply OBSERVE & EXPERIMENT A LOT. Another
consideration is what you see is not what you may necessarily get. Obtaining
the proofed ones especially would sometimes require some tricky procedures so
it helps a lot not to take literally what you encounter with the behavior of
the properties of a vehicle.
In GTA3 and Vice City, there was a rather straightforward deal with the
proofed vehicles; you get what you see and however you obtain them the special
properties never change. San Andreas introduced a different twist on the other
hand by allowing the proofing behaves differently on certain stages of the
play through sometimes depending too on how you specifically interact with it.
Basically the same case now was applied in Liberty City Stories.
*****************************************************************************
6.01: Conducting Some Tests
*****************************************************************************
So when doing a mission that involves vehicles whether assigned to you or
someone else's as part of the script, try to
a. If you're checking for proofing,
*Pay careful attention to their characteristics. Observe carefully if
they're bullet, fire, explosion or damage resistant.
*Test them for their possible special qualities on the spot by temporarily
using some cheats for research purposes only. In most cases you'll be
needing to use a few of them in conducting the test:
1. Never Wanted Cheat - L1, L1, TRIANGLE, R1, R1, X, SQUARE, CIRCLE
2. Weapons Cheat
a. Weapon Set 1
UP, SQUARE, SQUARE, DOWN, LEFT, SQUARE, SQUARE, RIGHT
Brass knuckles, knife, Molotov, 9mm, shotgun, tec-9, AK,
flamethrower, sniper rifle
b. Weapon Set 2
UP, CIRCLE, CIRCLE, DOWN, LEFT, CIRCLE, CIRCLE, RIGHT
Katana, remote grenades, magnum, sawn-off shotgun, Uzi, M4,
Rocket launcher, sniper rifle w/laser scope
c. Weapon Set 3
UP, X, X, DOWN, LEFT, X, X, RIGHT
Chainsaw, grenades, magnum, combat shotgun, SMG, M4, minigun,
Sniper rifle w/laser scope
3. Health & Armor Cheats - L1, R1, X, L1, R1, SQUARE, L1, R1
Or as you progress through the game and acquire weapons that are necessary for
the test, try to have in your arsenal any gun but preferably the high-powered
ones like a combat shotgun, MP5 or minigun, a flamethrower or Molotovs, and
some grenades or an RPG. These would be necessary tools in checking for
bulletproof, fireproof or explosion proof vehicles. Damage proofing is quite
easy to test simply by crashing the vehicle or hitting it with a melee weapon
to check if it sustains denting or in the case of motorbikes, if it smokes
after continuous crashing.
There's at leas one aircraft however that should you decide to obtain would
need using one cheat
b.If you want to check for exclusive color,
*Drive the vehicle to any Pay N Spray, respray it repeatedly and see if
the color scheme you found is obtainable there or not. If the color or
colors wouldn't show, then obviously you've found an exclusively colored
one. It couldn't be easier than that, unless you memorize by heart all the
assigned colors to a given vehicle then you wouldn't even have to bother
respraying them. You would have a hint too on the exclusivity of a color if it
always shows in a vehicle involved every time you redo or reload the mission.
Check also for any minor details that make a vehicle different from the
ordinary like a differently colored bumper, bottom part, stripe, etc. They may
not be useful at all in the final equation of your endeavor but if you're just
fond of looking for these types of hidden vehicles or you simply love
collecting them then this might prove useful somehow.
*****************************************************************************
6.02: What You See is Not What You May Necessarily Get
*****************************************************************************
Take note that you would also need some creative imagination in figuring out a
way to preserving the special properties of proofed vehicles in particular
since some of these qualities behave differently in different aspects or
stages of the play through. This is where experimentations would also come
into play.
One clear example of this is the Forelli Exsess car in the mission "Rough
Justice" where the proofing of the vehicle would apply to the second car once
you start the first wave shootout and which would then transfer to the first
car after you're done with the first wave to enter the second wave. Such
tricky behavior of the proofing in a car can really mislead you into believing
something about them otherwise if you don't let your imagination play a little
bit more than the normal.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
7. THE FUN BEGINS HERE
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
So what are you still waiting for? Haul ass now and get those vehicles!
In roughly storyline order, here are the special vehicles and the walkthrough
on how you can get them. The methods here have been done and tested on PS2
platform and may have some slight differences on other platforms.
Difficulty rating would be based on the whole process involved in obtaining
the special vehicles inclusive of the stage or stages in the mission that you
have to go through, as well as after the mission is failed or passed.
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
8. PROOFED VEHICLES
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
These types of special vehicles are what many GTA gamers have in the past been
collecting in the game as part of the fun stuff. In San Andreas there have
been a lot of these proofed cars that existed perhaps as an inevitable
requirement considering that San Andreas is a dangerous place too that
involved a lot of dangerous missions. In particular San Andreas had many of
the Comprehensiveproof ones (DP/BP/EP/FP), about 20 of them more than Liberty
City Stories that until now only one have been found.
The mafia affairs in Liberty City Stories appears to be less requiring more of
this, though it has more of the BP/EP/FP types and the exclusively colored
ones than San Andreas ever had. In any case, let's have a look at what types
of proofed vehicles we can find in this game.
Note that some cars may have limited proofing which do not stay permanently
with the vehicle but only apply to a limited degree and in the duration of the
mission only.
*****************************************************************************
8.01: BULLETPROOF/FIREPROOF or EXPLOSIONPROOF/FIREPROOF PCJ 600
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Bike Heat
Character : Maria
Difficulty : 2 or 3
Source : chuckflip53 from Sundar Subramaniam - LCS Secrets FAQ
Salvatore Leone's woman Maria was manhandled by a certain biker named Wayne
whom Maria has been going out with. You have to exact revenge for what the guy
did for the reason that Maria is the woman of your boss, Salvatore Leone. So
now must you must teach Dwayne an eternal lesson by killing him.
METHOD 1
Once the chase part begins, kill the other three gang mates of Wayne if they
get in your way, get on any of the gangsters' bikes that you'd find around you
and chase Wayne. This could be quite tricky since he would weave in and out of
alleys so you must follow him carefully while shooting at him. You have to
kill him during the chase in order to obtain the bulletproofing of the bike.
There is an interesting catch here; if you kill Dwayne during the chase, the
bike would be an obtainable bulletproof and fireproof. If you let him reach
his destination back in Chinatown and kill him when he goes on foot, the bike
would be explosionproof and fireproof and the bulletproofing would be gone.
*****************************************************************************
8.02: FIREPROOF LEONE SENTINEL
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Made-Man
Character : JD O Toole
Difficulty : 3
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
JD's date with destiny has finally come. He was so enthusiastic at the thought
that he's finally going to be a made man in the Leone Family. Little did he
know instead that Salvatore knew he was a rat and that he has to be finally
eliminated at this point. You will have to drive for JD and Mickey who will do
the dirty job, but Mickey will leave the mess for you to clean up afterwards.
The car you will drive here is a nice fireproof mafia car, but to be able to
preserve this car's fireproof property you need to fail the mission.
Passing this mission would require you to dump this car for good deep into the
river where it's irretrievable that's why you have to avoid doing that in
order to obtain this. But you have to ditch this shallow into the water
somehow in order to fail the mission and still retrieve it.
Note: This mission is a no wanted level until the point before Mickey would
execute JD. After that, the situation for you is a cop sensitive one.
METHOD 1
Drive Mickey and JD to the scrap yard and wait for the execution to happen.
After the cut scene, drive Mickey first to his place before you must ditch the
car into the water to fail the mission and get the car fireproof. You can't
ditch the car while Mickey is with you or for some reasons you'll get wasted
too once he dies. Be wary of cops though as you drive Mickey to his place as
any contact with them would immediately earn for you 2 wanted stars. You won't
be able to lose the heat by driving to a Pay N Spray since you still have JD's
corpse with you. Now as soon as you drop Mickey, rush over to the seaside in
Harwood and carefully dump the car into the water. You will fail the mission
and your 2 wanted stars would remain. Now just drive over to Pay N Spray to
clear your wanted levels and take the fireproof car with you.
Note that you won't be able to snipe JD or Mickey to fail the mission, you'd
consequently destroy the car since it isn't bulletproof either. Ditching it
into the water is the only way to go.
*****************************************************************************
8.03: FIREPROOF RUMPO
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Bone Voyeur
Character : JD O Toole
Difficulty : 1
Source : HuGooGuh & MasterOfWeapons
You have to accompany JD O Toole in this mission who has to collect $700 from
her hookers working around the Red Lights district before they finish their
shift on a given time. If you fail to help him find all the hookers on time
who owe him money, you'll fail the mission. For unknown reason JD owns a
Fireproof Rumpo here that you will use.
METHOD 1
You need to fail this mission as well to be able to obtain the car Fireproof,
but fail it correctly you must. If you fail it by not being able to find all
the hookers on time to collect all the money or kill JD by sniping him through
the window, the van would lose its Fireproofing. Passing the mission would
also make the van revert back to a normal one. You have to destroy this
instead by ditching it into the water in Harwood seaside to successfully
obtain it Fireproof.
As soon as you get control of it, drive over to Harwood seaside within the
time that you're supposed to be collecting from JD's hookers. Don't worry, as
you won't fail the mission for going far away from where you're supposed to be
looking around for the girls. Drive the van slowly into the water, once you
get the mission failure message, just drive this over to your garage then
save. It'll be Fireproof permanently.
*****************************************************************************
8.04: FIREPROOF/EXCLUSIVE COLOR BLACK SENTINEL
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : Making Toni
Character : Salvatore Leone
Difficulty : 1
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
Salvatore has finally decided to make you a made man. Mickey and another
Mafioso will fetch you and you will be driving everyone in a Sentinel that
sports an exclusive color black and a fireproof one too. Again you need to
fail this mission if you have to obtain this nice car. Passing this would
spawn you back to your safe house without the car. If you failed to get one
like this in Salvatore's first mission for you in Staunton Island, this would
be an easy chance for you finally.
METHOD 1
As soon as you get control of the car, drive over to a seaside location in
Harwood, Portland Island and ditch the car into the water. You will
immediately fail the mission for killing Mickey but fortunately doing so won't
waste you. On the brighter side, you can now own this nice-looking Fireproof
Black Sentinel. Do not snipe Mickey or the other guy or you won't be able to
obtain the special property of this car that for some reasons would become
ordinary again after mission failure.

8.05: BULLETPROOF/FIREPROOF STRETCH
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : Search and Rescue
Character : Salvatore Leone
Difficulty : 1
Source : Davidkakish from Sundar Subramaniam - LCS Secrets FAQ
Salvatore went spying on the Forellis in Fort Staunton when he realized that
the Sindaccos have declared war with the Forellis. As a result he was caught
in the middle of a gunfight and for which now you must save him. Salvatore
would ask you to bring his bulletproof limo to the scene, and to be able to
obtain this special car you have to fail the mission either by destroying it
first by ditching it into the water or killing Salvatore. Passing the mission
would require you to stash this in Salvatore's garage in Newport so there
wouldn't be any way you can have this if you didn't fail the mission.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
After you answered the phone, get the Stretch parked at the multi-level
parking in Newport. Now instead of rescuing Salvatore, drive the car over to
Bedford Point pier, where there's a wooden plank that gradually goes down into
the water. Slowly and carefully drive it into the water slightly sideways
until you get the failure message for destroying the car. Now just drive this
out of the water, store this in your garage then save.
METHOD 2 (nico ja)
Start the mission and get the Stretch in the Newport multi-level parking
building, drive over to the yellow marker in Fort Staunton where Salvatore is
trapped. Once the Forelli gangsters appear, kill them all by any means while
keeping an eye out for the cops for you will inevitably earn some wanted stars
for your actions. Lose the heat, by picking up nearby police bribes or using
the Pay N Spray. If you're going to use the Pay N Spray, which means driving
all the way back to where your safe house is just nearby, better to stash the
car in your garage first before you go back again to where Salvatore is. Don't
worry about leaving it far behind as it's going to be safe inside your garage
even after you fail the mission. So locate where Salvatore is trapped, then
with just a couple of grenades or molotovs throw them at him to kill him and
fail the mission. With Salvatore killed, go back to your garage, check out
your car and let the door open and close on it to be able to keep it once you
save the game.
Alternatively, if you somehow managed to avoid using the Pay N spray in
getting rid of your wanted stars after engaging the Forelli gangsters to a
gunfight, just make your way quickly to where Salvatore is leaving the car
where you parked it and kill him to fail the mission. From there you can just
go back to where you parked the Stretch and drive it back to your garage then
save it.
*****************************************************************************
8.06: BULLETPROOF/EXPLOSIONPROOF/FIREPROOF SPEEDER
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : Shoot the Messenger
Character : Salvatore Leone
Difficulty : 4
Source : GTA_Loco
It's a proofed speedboat this time and perhaps one of the hardest to get in
the game. Although this might be pretty useless as there won't be much use for
this, aside from the fact that it'll be too much of a trouble pushing it all
the way to the water every time should you ever want to use it then back again
to your garage when you're done. But it's still a special vehicle and a nice
collection to have if you happen to be on the hunt for proofed vehicles in the
game.
This is the speedboat a couple of Forellis will be riding in whom you have to
chase and kill. These Forelli gangsters were supposed to tell their boss
Franco Forelli who's responsible behind the Forelli-Sindacco feud. Salvatore
doesn't want Franco Forelli to know anything about it, that's why you have to
kill the blabbermouth.
The speedboat they'll be onboard will be BP/EP/FP if you didn't trigger the
chase, and at the same time you pass the mission. Once you trigger the chase,
it'll become normal again.
What you need to have to successfully obtain this speedboat is a full armor
and health, an infinite run (from successfully completing paramedic mission),
a combat shotgun with lots of ammo, and a tremendous amount of patience and
resolve.
METHOD 1
Do the mission up to the point where you have to be in a speedboat supposedly
to chase the Forelli gangsters. Do not do the chase instead; you need to snipe
the one steering the boat to immediately complete the mission. Don't bother
with the armed one. Apparently the former is your more important target.
Approach their speedboat very carefully, once you see a red arrow appears
above them while approaching, STOP. Try to get close enough until you can have
a good view of the two gangsters when you peek into your sniper scope. You
can precede just a few more but watch out or you'll trigger the chase.
Try to get a good headshot at the one behind the steering wheel, since this
will be the only viewable part of his body while he's seated. If you do it
correctly, you'll pass the mission once you kill the guy and the boat will be
just there for you to grab. Mission passed.
Now get onboard and drive the proofed speedboat, look for a low-sloped portion
of the paved seaside walk in Aspatria just behind the stadium. It would do you
good also if you'd conduct an ocular inspection first before doing the mission
where you can jump with the speedboat towards the road. Assuming you know the
spot already, speed up to gain momentum and perform a stunt jump that if you
do just right would land you past the grassy area straight into the road. Try
to avoid miscalculating your jump or you run the risk of damaging
unnecessarily the speedboat if you hit on anything else repeatedly. If you
make it to the main road, just jack a medium to big size vehicle from a
Landstalker to a Linerunner or coach and carefully push the boat straight down
the road towards the fire station in Belleville Park, turn left there then
continue pushing straight ahead towards your garage. Be wary of some Forellis
or Sindaccos who might harass you in many occasions once you reach your safe
house. Be careful too when pushing the boat especially if you're using a big
vehicle or the boat might get destroyed. Push it to your garage using the
wider alley way, once you're by the garage already, store the speedboat inside
diagonally where you can still store another small size car afterwards. Save
the game and the boat, and its properties will still be permanent.

8.07: BULLETPROOF/EXCLUSIVE COLOR YELLOW PATRIOT
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : False Idols
Character : Father Ned
Difficulty : 2
Source : RLG from Sundar Subramanian's LCS Secret's FAQ
In this mission you have to kill three celebrities whom "Fr. Ned" hates and
alleges to be unfair with journalists, so he wanted them eliminated by you.
You have to intercept and kill all of them before any of them reach LCFR
station or you'll fail the mission. Each of them would be coming from
different directions and riding in three different vehicles. One is in a
chopper, the other one in a Stretch and another in a Patriot, which is a
special car. Once again in this case, you have to destroy the Patriot first
and wait for the mission to fail to be able to obtain its bulletproofing.
Take note that this has a special yellow color too, which is unobtainable at
Pay N Spray. Mind you that you have to get this first since there's a chopper
that you can get too in this mission which would require you to abandon this.
So if you're planning on getting both of them, take this first before the
chopper.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
Start the mission and proceed quickly to the Newport boatyard where you'll
find the Patriot parked just outside of the condominium, which was Asuka's
place in GTA3. Cap the guards and steal the Patriot. Don't bother with DB-P
one of your targets who's supposed to ride the car, as he won't move anymore
without the vehicle. Now intercept the Stretch and do a drive-by until you
kill your target. The point here is to prevent it from reaching its
destination or you'll fail the mission prematurely. Once you're done with the
Stretch, rush over again to Bedford Point pier, slowly and carefully drive the
car first into the water, when it's partially submerged, push it slowly some
more until it's halfway underwater. Now you'll just have to wait for the other
target in a chopper to reach its destination so that you'll fail the mission
and get this car bulletproof. Drive the Patriot out of the water then just
save it in your garage.

8.08: FIREPROOF BANSHEE
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : Sayonara Sindaccos
Character : Ray Machowski/Leon McAffrey
Difficulty : 1
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
Too bad this is only fireproof, it could have been at least bulletproof.
But no worries though as you can have a better version of this from a side
mission.
This is Leon McAffrey's car that you'll meet for the first time in the game
and in his first mission for you. You're supposed to drive him to a place
where you have to kill some Sindaccos as part of a deal. You also need to
destroy the Banshee and fail this mission to get the car fireproof.
Note: Another no wanted level mission after you drive over to the yellow
marker, during the time that you're supposed to kill the Sindaccos.
METHOD 1
After the cut scene, you'll find yourself standing beside the sports car. Get
in the car and drive over to Bedford Point pier and ditch the car into the
water exactly the same way you did with the other cars. You'll fail the
mission but you'll preserve the fireproof property of this car. You can't get
this if you pass the mission since Leon would be driving this away at the end.
*****************************************************************************
8.09: FIREPROOF SECURICAR
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : Cash Clash
Character : Toshiko Kasen
Difficulty : 3
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
This is your second mission for a Japanese woman who would like to do a
vengeful act against her husband whom she considers very bad. She would like
you to destroy three Securicar vans carrying casino money owned by her husband
in order to sabotage his business before they can reach their destination. All
of the Securicar vans are fireproof but you have to fail the mission to be
able to get this van's special property. There is a tricky catch here though;
you have to fail the mission in Portland Island and not in Staunton or for
some reasons you'll get wasted. You cannot pass this mission without
destroying all of the three vans but you cannot obtain any of the vans either
if you destroy them by wrecking them. Your garage simply won't restore them.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
Intercept the Securicar vans as soon as you begin the mission. Get ahead of
the first van but do not bump into any of them along the way or they will be
alerted and would speed away in different directions. When you're in front of
the van already, take out your sniper rifle or any gun and snipe out the
driver through the windshield since the van's door would be locked. Once he
falls off the van, you'll immediately earn two wanted stars while the two
others would scatter in different directions and would proceed with going to
their destination. For some reasons, you cannot fail the mission in Staunton
Island by letting the other vans reach their destination. You'll get wasted as
a consequence. Instead you have to quickly steal the van and drive as fast as
you can towards Portland Island. As soon as you reach Portland, after
the "Welcome to Portland Island" message, you'll immediately fail the mission
for "not destroying the van". Now just drive back to Staunton with the van and
save this in your garage.
*****************************************************************************
8.10: FIREPROOF STRETCH
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : A Date with Death
Character : Toshiko Kasen
Difficulty : 1 or 3
Source : GTA_Loco
Here you will be escorting Toshiko Kasen as her chauffeur who would watch an
opera and you have to make it to the event on a given time and mustn't be late
or you'll fail the mission. The limo that you'll drive is Fireproof whether
you destroy it first again before you run out of time or complete the mission.
METHOD 1
Take the limo and immediately proceed to a seaside location in Harwood
Portland and ditch the car before the given time. You will fail the mission
once you destroyed the car, but will retain its fireproofing. Failing it by
being late, shooting Toshiko on foot or doing a drive-by on her while in the
Stretch would make the car vanish so these options won't work. After mission
failure, just save the car to a garage afterwards.
METHOD 2
Do the mission as normal up to the point where you go to the opera. After the
cut scene, a group of Forellis would attack you and Toshiko; kill any of them
who would get in your way. You would earn a couple of wanted stars in most
cases so now you must rush back with Toshiko in the limo and drive away as
fast as you can. There will be at least three more Forelli cars that would try
to chase and ambush you along the way, just take them out any way possible
being careful not to destroy the car or you'll fail the mission if Toshiko
gets killed. Lose the heat by using the Pay N spray if up to this point you're
still wanted. Once everything's cleared, just drive to Toshiko's place to
complete the mission. You will still find the car outside of her place after
the cut scene, still permanently Fireproof. Store the car in the garage and
save.
*****************************************************************************
8.11: COMPREHENSIVEPROOF FORELLI EXSESS
*****************************************************************************
Location : Shoreside Vale
Mission : Rough Justice
Character : Salvatore Leone
Difficulty : 4
Source : GTA_Loco
Cool. Finally, an obtainable Comprehensiveproof car in Liberty City Stories
and a sporty one too. In fact, the two cars that you're supposed to smash up
to provoke the Forellis into a two-wave shootout with you are both obtainable
Comprehensiveproof cars. Curiously, the proofing of both cars would apply one
at a time on each of them at certain stages of the attack, during which you
have to ditch the car into the water to be able to "destroy" it first to
obtain the proofing. They would apply to the second car while the first wave
of shootout is in effect while the first car you've smashed up would be a
normal one, then it would apply to the first car once the first wave shootout
is done and you're about to enter the second wave of shootout. So the first
car now would be proofed also regardless of its condition as long as you
didn't destroy it yet.
This is also a no wanted level mission as soon as you start it, so you don't
have to worry about the law enforcers getting in your way.
METHOD 1
Start the mission and head right away to any of the two-parked Forelli Exsess
located in Wichita Gardens. Don't bother picking up the hoods, as they're
pretty much useless anyway. Once you arrived at any one of the parked cars,
ride in it or hit it to provoke the first wave of the shootout. As soon as
this happens, the other parked car that you haven't touched yet will now
become Comprehensiveproof, but only WHILE THE FIRST WAVE OF ATTACK IS IN
PROGRESS so you must ditch the proofed car into the water at this stage and
before you provoke the Forellis for a second time.
If you're going to the direction of the tunnel, there's a lagoon to your right
(from your point of view) where you can ditch the car. There's a portion by
the curve of the road that is deep enough and gradually slopes down into the
water. You'll know that you've ditched the car underwater well enough if you
don't hear the sound of its muffler anymore, or if after you've finished off
the first wave of gunfight you immediately receive the message "Exact revenge
on the Forellis" almost immediately after you get the first message "Lure the
Forellis, etc." As such, this would mean the game has recognized that
you've "destroyed" the car when you ditched it into the water, thus preserving
already its proofing. If you didn't receive the former message and an arrow
still appears above the second car, that means you haven't ditched it well
underwater, which means that if you're getting both of them, you've already
lost your chance on one of the cars so you need to restart the mission.
Assuming you did just right in ditching the car, proceed with killing all the
Forellis then, after which you will be told to smash up the second car which
happens to be the one in the water already. Now first drive the car out of the
water, store it in your garage, then head back to where you left the other car
you first smashed up which at this point is also proofed already, and ditch it
also into the water in exactly the same manner you did for the other one.
Don't worry about leaving it into the water far from where you will move
around during the shootout since it won't disappear.
Now kill the Forellis in the second wave fight but leave at least one or two
and make them follow you to the spot where the car is. If you don't do this,
once you've passed the mission the car would vanish so it's important that you
kill the last of the mobsters near the car. Complete the mission, drive the
car out of the water, store it in your garage together with the other one and
save.
You're now the owner of a couple of cool Comprehensiveproof Forelli Exsess
cars, nice trophies to have and probably the only type of car that is
Comprehensiveproof in Liberty City Stories.

8.12: BULLETPROOF/EXPLOSIONPROOF RHINO
*****************************************************************************
Location : Shoreside Vale
Mission : Shogun Showdown
Character : Salvatore Leone
Difficulty : 2
Source : HuGooGuh & MasterOfWeapons
A standard military vehicle that have always made its presence in all the GTA
games. An armored vehicle though unfortunately not comprehensively proofed but
a formidable weapon to have just the same. The fact that it blows up any
vehicle it comes into contact with makes it a worthwhile weapon to have
nevertheless. Thanks to HuGooGuh & MasterOfWeapons for bringing this to the
attention.
In LCS this can be as rare to appear as in GTA3 and VC but more like as
difficult to obtain as in GTA3. You can steal one of these from the army when
you have raised your wanted level to 6, or if you can be bothered to complete
the game 100% first, then you can find this infinitely spawned at Fort
Staunton. But if you want to obtain this more easily, you can have a good
chance of doing so when you do this Shoreside Vale mission for Salvatore.
You're supposed to destroy this Yakuza weapon that they're planning to use to
take over the turfs in Liberty City, but destroying this by blowing it up
either by fitting it with a bomb then detonating it or setting it on fire
definitely isn't the way to go if you want to obtain it. You have to ditch
this into the water, complete the mission and still have the tank.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
Start the mission, make your way to the Yakuza compound in Aspatria in a
Yakuza Stinger car to gain access inside where the tank is. Park beside the
Rhino then quickly get off your car and steal the tank. This would immediately
alert the Yakuzas to take actions against you, just blast them off and make
you way out of their compound. If you have raised some wanted stars for
creating a ruckus, lose the heat first by using the Pay N Spray. Once you're
cleared, make your way into Bedford Point pier, ignore those Yakuza Stingers
who would try to ram you along the way, possibly with the intention of raising
your wanted level. Just try to avoid them as much as you can.
When you reach the pier, back the tank into the water slowly, get off before
it goes underwater and push it slowly into the water slightly angled for you
to easily get in afterwards. Continue pushing it slowly into the water until a
little more than half of it is submerged already, get out of the water each
time you make a push until you get the message that you've successfully
completed the mission. Though submerged, just get in the tank and drive it out
of the water, surprisingly you wouldn't decrease your health even though
you're submerged into the water when you get back in. Drive this to your
garage to save it.
Weird thing about this after you've retrieved it is that its destructive
feature of blowing up vehicles upon contact with them is disabled until you
regenerate it in your garage.

8.13: BULLETPROOF/EXPLOSIONPROOF/FIREPROOF CARS
*****************************************************************************
Location : Capital Autos Showroom - Harwood, Portland Island
Mission : Car Salesman Mission
Character : Toni Cipriani
Difficulty : 2
Source : Dark Rampage from Sundar Subramaniam's LCS Secrets FAQ
This was first discovered by Dark Rampage and for sometime was listed in
Sundar Subramaniam's Secrets FAQ as unconfirmed/unobtainable. They were
identified as bulletproof only at first but it turned out they have more other
proofing than that. I finally found a way to obtain permanently their special
properties.
It's one very interesting feature in the game that virtually provides you with
an unlimited supply of proofed cars once the mission is available.
It's an ongoing mission at the Capital Autos showroom located in Harwood that
would be unlocked after the mission "Dealing Revenge" for Vincenzo. It is open
between 8:00 to 18:00 and all the cars that are for sale in this mission are
obtainable proofed cars.
In this mission you're supposed to sell certain types of cars to particular
customers whom you have to take for a test drive and satisfy to be able to
make a sale. Your sales pitch is timed during which you must fill the sale bar
and back to the showroom marker before you run out of time or you'll fail the
mission. You have to pay careful attention to what they'd expect in your sales
demonstration so that you can easily satisfy them. Every time you make a sale,
you earn money and additional time to do the succeeding ones.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
The trick here is as soon as you get in a car, it becomes BP/EP/FP right away.
Getting off your vehicle would immediately fail the mission, not satisfying
your customer and failing the sales pitch would make the car disappear. You
have to "destroy" this first WITHIN THE TIME LIMIT that defaults at 2:30
minutes by ditching it into the water to fail the mission so that you can
obtain its special qualities. If you run out of time, the car would revert
back to a normal one. If you leave your customer, you would also fail the
mission and the car right away.
Choose your car and take the customer with you for a drive. Now drive to a
seaside location in Harwood in between a construction site and the ferry
terminal, slowly drive the car into the water. After you fail the mission for
destroying the car, just drive this to your garage then save.
Here's a list of cars that you can obtain BP/EP/FP here:
*Banshee
*Stinger
*Cheetah
*Patriot
*BF Injection
*Bobcat
*Stallion
*Idaho
*Esperanto
*Manana
*Perennial

8.14: BULLETPROOF/EXPLOSIONPROOF/FIREPROOF MOTORBIKES
*****************************************************************************
Location : Hogs & Cogs Store - Belleville Park, Staunton Island
Mission : Motorbike Salesman Mission
Character : Toni Cipriani
Difficulty : 1
Source : Dark Rampage from Sundar Subramaniam's LCS Secrets FAQ
This was also first discovered by Dark Rampage and for sometime was also
listed in Sundar Subramaniam's Secrets FAQ as unconfirmed/unobtainable. They
were also identified at first as bulletproof only but there's actually more
about them than that, just like the cars in the car salesman side mission.
I finally found a way also to obtain permanently their special properties.
Basically similar to the car salesman mission in Portland, you're supposed to
sell certain types of motorbikes to particular customers whom you have to take
for a test drive and satisfy to be able to make a sale. Your sales pitch is
timed also during which you must fill the sale bar and back to the showroom
marker before you run out of time or you'll fail the mission. Most of anything
in the car salesman mission that would make the cars return back to normal
ones if the mission is failed wrongly applies also here.
METHOD 1 (GTA_Loco)
The trick here is basically similar to the car salesman mission, any bike you
ride in will become BP/EP/FP right away. But unlike it, you don't need to take
the customer with you once you've chosen a bike to obtain as proofed. Leaving
a customer won't fail the mission, but taking one for a ride and not
satisfying him/her or running out of time would lose for the bike its proofing.
Quickly speed away once you're in a bike and just leave your customer behind,
make your way to the nearby Bedford Point pier which has a wooden plank that
goes gradually down into the water and carefully ditch the bike there. You'll
fail the mission for destroying your ride but then it would be proofed
already. Just drive it out of the water, store the bike in your garage and
save.
Here's a list of the motorbikes you can get BP/EP/FP here:
*PCJ 600
*Freeway
*Sanchez
*Faggio

Location : Shoreside Vale
Mission : See the Sight Before Your Flight
Character : Side mission
Difficulty : 4
Source : Sundar Subramaniam - LCS Secrets FAQ
Previously classified as bulletproof only, this nice SUV turns out to be
fireproof as well.
In this side mission you have to escort tourists to certain locations around
Liberty City, take pictures of them on the spot then back again where you
started all on a given time. You earn money for every successful service and
upon successful completion of this after LEVEL 12, you will receive a
bulletproof/fireproof Landstalker as a reward. This car happens to also have
an exclusive black top and blue bottom color scheme. The ordinary combination
you can find for this car is the reverse of the color scheme of this special
car. Note that you must get the car right away once it spawns in your
Shoreside Vale safe house or you'll never find it again anymore.

8:16: BULLETPROOF/FIREPROOF AVENGER
*****************************************************************************
Location : St. Mark's Safe house, Portland Island
Mission : Avenging Angels Missions
Difficulty : 3
Source : Sundar Subramaniam - LCS Secrets FAQ
A cool-looking bike that would appear only when you have completed 15 levels
of the Avenging Angels mission in Portland Island, a bike that basically looks
like a Freeway with a different paintjob. Note that this would appear in
Portland only and not in the other two cities, so you must do the missions in
Portland. At firs believed to be bulletproof only, this bike is in fact
fireproof as well and would appear in your Portland safe house ONLY ONCE, so
better store it immediately in your garage and save the game before you lose
it.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx9.
EXCLUSIVELY COLORED VEHICLES
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Some vehicles in Liberty City Stories have paintjobs you wouldn't normally get
for them, whether from the Pay N Spray neither are there any mod shops in-game
or from those that you'd see driving around in free roam. Essentially, all the
colors you can find in vehicles roaming the cities are obtainable from Pay N
Spray. Exclusive colors however are assigned to certain vehicles by mission
scripts only, you can never obtain such coloring anywhere else except within a
mission, and are discreetly applied you wouldn't notice it unless you check
carefully. The colors can range from something really striking to something
rather unnoticeable.
There are only a limited number of colors that are assigned to certain types
of vehicles commonly obtainable via Pay N Spray, and a color or color scheme
for a given vehicle inside a mission that isn't in its regular color palette
is what classifies it as an Exclusive Color.
In GTA3, most of the known ones have black color only and in Vice City,
special paintjob was limited to a few different colors but most of them also
sport jet black color. Then in San Andreas about a dozen of them in different
colors have appeared. In Liberty City Stories however, you can find more of
these vehicles having exclusive paintjobs. There are gamers who like having
these types of special vehicles for the simple reason of having something that
has a one of its kind color in its class.

9.01: BLACK KURUMA
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Home Sweet Home
Character : Vincenzo
Difficulty : 1
Source : GTA_Loco
So you're finally back to Liberty City. The very first car you'll drive for
your first mission is this sleek looking black car owned by your immediate
boss Vincenzo.
NOTE: This is also the very first no wanted level mission in the game. If you
feel like raising a lot of money early at this point and accumulating weapons
on the same occasion, then this would be a perfect time for you.
METHOD 1
Do the mission, drive to the destinations to complete the mission. After you
pass it, just stash this in your garage then save.
Too bad you can't fail this mission by ditching this into the water as you
would revert back to the very beginning and considering too that your garage
would be useable only after you complete the mission. This car happens to be
the first fireproof car in the game so it could've been possible to get it
fireproof if somehow you can fail the mission without starting the mission all
over again. Passing this would return the car back to a normal one. You can
only get its special black color but there will always be one spawning outside
of Vincenzo's place all the time.
*****************************************************************************
9.02: PINK PATRIOT
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Contra-Banned
Character : Salvatore Leone
Difficulty : 4
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
A non=proofed vehicle that is difficult to obtain? It's too much of a trouble
really for something with just a special paintjob but whether you want this
for your collection or you just need to complete your task and since this is
very much a critical part in the mission, you have no other choice but to deal
with the difficulty. Make sure that you have a space in your garage for this
before you do the mission. Aside from its pink color, the bumpers and window
trimmings have cool bluish chrome plating.
In this mission you will meet with a group of Colombians who will arrive in a
pink Patriot carrying the stuffs for Salvatore. You will be double-crossed by
them when law enforcers would arrive to the scene and would try to bust you.
No matter what happens, you have to take the vehicle with the stuffs to a lock-
up otherwise you'll lose the mission.
METHOD 1
Go to Portland dockyard and meet up with the suppliers. After the cut scene,
you'll find yourself screwed up in the middle of a shootout against the
Colombians and law enforcers. The Patriot would be nearby so be careful not to
let it sustain gunfire but you would have to waste the Colombians and law
enforcers or they will shred to pieces your vehicle if you immediately drive
it. To make matters worse, you will consequently earn wanted stars. Now you
cannot just leave the Patriot there while you try to lose your wanted level
some other ways because you will fail the mission. Drive to a nearby police
bribe near some lock-ups to at least reduce your wanted level. If you're
obtaining this, you certainly cannot drive in a Pay N Spray that would mean
losing the pink paintjob. You have to stash this in your garage first and
leave it there, leave the area far enough to fail the mission for abandoning
the stuffs. Now just go back to your garage, open and close its door to save
the Patriot.

9.03: BLACK & WHITE BANSHEE
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : The Trouble with the Triads
Character : Salvatore Leone
Difficulty : 3
Source : GTA_Loco
You're tasked by Salvatore in this mission to retrieve some money in a
compound where the Leones where raided by the Triads. In the cut scene you'll
see Salvatore driving in a Banshee that has an exclusive black & white color.
He would drive away and you won't be able to find this again, not until after
you trigger the shootout with the Triads the Atlantic Quays compound.
METHOD 1
Start the mission and proceed to your destination. After the cut scene, kill
all the Triads and retrieve the money. Go back to Salvatore's mansion and
along the way you'll now find the Banshee sometimes smashed into a tree,
sometimes parked in the middle of the driveway. Push this to your garage first
then go back again to Salvatore to complete the mission.
*****************************************************************************
9.04: BLACK & LIGHT BLUE THUNDER RODD
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Grease Sucho
Character : Ma Cipriani
Difficulty : 2 or 4
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
Ma Cipriani would like you to show you have real respect for her by proving
that you're man enough just like how she wanted you brought up. And she wants
you to beat in a car race and waste a Dan Sucho as part of that deal.
All the three cars that you will compete against in the race have exclusive
colors, but only this one has a unique look, which can be classified also
under the unique vehicles. It will just be included in this section since this
one has an unobtainable colors, an exclusively colored version of the "normal"
one spawned near Callahan bridge.
The special paintjob for this is a black body with light blue bottom part
different from the spawned one. Only this particular one among the three
racers can be obtained should you decide to pass the mission.
METHOD 1
Start the mission and proceed to the start line by the Portland Dockyard where
you'll find your three racing opponents parked there. Don't drive into the
marker though, instead, park nearby, go on foot and hit any of the cars that
would start the race. Now the timer will be on and you'll fail the mission if
within 30 seconds you're not in any vehicle. So get in any vehicle and just
wait for the racers to return since the start line would also be the finish
line. It usually takes about 3 real minutes for them to finish the course,
once they reach the finish line they would simply park there and you won't
fail the mission as long as you're not out of a vehicle.
Good thing about this car as well as the rest of the other cars, the door is
unlocked so you can just steal it from the driver. But you need to fail the
mission to obtain the car and you have to ditch this into the water in a
Harwood seaside near the construction site or Portland beach which is nearer.
Failing the mission by staying out of this vehicle would make it disappear so
you have to be onboard this one if you want to get it. Killing any of your
racing opponents too would make this vanish even when you're riding in it.
METHOD 2
This method is quite difficult. Do the race and win it. After crossing the
finish line, there will be a cut scene after which you have to waste the Sucho
boy by any means. He will speed away so you have to chase him but be careful
not to destroy the car. You can try getting him stuck somewhere then jack the
car from him and kill him once he's out of the car. Pass the mission and save
the car in the garage.

9.05: CHROME RED STALLION WITH DARK RED ROOF
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : Grease Sucho
Character : Ma Cipriani
Difficulty : 2
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
One of the cars you'll compete against in the race is this Stallion with a
special chrome red body and dark red roof. There are only about three colors
for the roof of a Stallion and this color isn't among them. The body color is
unobtainable at Pay N spray too, which is a brighter red than the normal one.
METHOD 1
Start the mission and proceed to the start line by the Portland Dockyard where
you'll find this with the others parked there. Don't drive into the starting
marker though, instead, park nearby, go on foot and hit any of the cars that
would start the race.
Wait for this to return after a few minutes while you should be in any
vehicle. Once it arrived, steal it then ditch it into the water. You'll fail
the mission for "being out of a vehicle" or sometimes "for wrecking one of the
cars". Whichever, just store this in your garage and save. You can't obtain
this by passing the mission or killing any of the other drivers.
*****************************************************************************
9.06: WHITE STALLION
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : Grease Sucho
Character : Ma Cipriani
Difficulty : 2
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
Another one of the cars you'll compete against in the race with a special
paintjob of white body. You can't get any white color for a Stallion.
METHOD 1
Start the mission and proceed to the start line by the Portland Dockyard where
you'll find this with the others parked there. Don't drive into the starting
marker though, instead, park nearby, go on foot and hit any of the cars that
would start the race.
Wait for this to return to the starting point after a few minutes while you
should be in any vehicle, once it arrived, steal it then ditch it into the
water. You'll fail the mission for "being out of a vehicle" or sometimes "for
wrecking one of the cars". Whichever, just store this in your garage and save.
Similar with the other Stallion's case, you can't obtain this by passing the
mission or killing any of the other drivers.
*****************************************************************************
9.07: WHITE PONY WITH WHITE BUMPERS
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Dead Meat
Character : Ma Cipriani
Difficulty : 2
Source : GTA_Loco
Giovanni Casa is a meat dealer who pays regular protection money to Ma
Cipriani, and because you took incriminating pictures of him in a previous
mission, he now refuses to fulfill his obligations. As a result, Ma Cipriani
would challenge you again to show your guts by exacting a rightful punishment
to the way Casa has snub your family.
The Pony where Casa's chopped remains would be loaded into after you murder
him inside the sawmill has white bumpers, which is a special paintjob for this
van. The body color isn't anything rare for this but the bumpers are.
A regular white Pony always has a dark grey front and rear bumpers, while the
lightest colored Pony that has an all-over color is a light cream one which if
you wouldn't check carefully would give you the impression as the same as this
special Pony. To be able to obtain this however would require you again to
fail the mission since passing it would make this van disappear.
METHOD 1
Start the mission, pick-up Giovanni Casa from his meat shop. Drive over to the
sawmill in Trenton, go with him inside and murder him. He would always try to
run away from you that's why you should sneak up behind him and hit him when
you're close enough. After you successfully chopped him into pieces, the Pony
would be outside of the sawmill already just waiting for you to drive it to
Casa's meat shop. You'd instantly earn two wanted stars at this point so you
must lose the heat first by picking up some nearby police bribes or using the
Pay N Spray. Once you're cleared, drive the van over to a seaside location in
Harwood and carefully ditch it rear first to destroy it. You will fail the
mission for doing so but you can now keep this exclusively colored van.
*****************************************************************************
9.08: BLACK SENTINEL
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : No Son of Mine
Character : Ma Cipriani
Difficulty : 4
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
Ma Cipriani's last mission would end in her total disappointment with you as
being not worthy at all to be her son. As lovingly as a mother she is in the
Mafia style, she thinks that the best thing for you to go is to be eliminated.
She has sent a group of hit men out to get you, all the guys who would come
after you would be driving in several Black Sentinels.
NOTE: This is also a no wanted level right from the very start of the mission.
METHOD 1
After the cut scene, kill every single hit man that would try to get you.
There would be quite a lot of them, so you need to survive the onslaught.
Just finish off every single one of them, once you've passed the mission you
can simply help yourself with any of the Sentinels you'll find scattered
around the place assuming you didn't destroy all of them.
*****************************************************************************
9.09: DARK BROWN PATRIOT
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : A Volatile Situation
Character : JD O Toole
Difficulty : 3
Source : GTA_Loco
The Sindaccos are planning to blow up a casino owned by Salvatore so you have
to help a couple of Leone's boys to protect it. Four groups of Sindaccos in
four different waves of attack would attempt to plant bombs in the place and
you have to do whatever it takes to prevent them from succeeding.
They will be using four different vehicles, the first two of which are the
standard Sindaccos car while the third is this Patriot with a special brown
color. This is a rather dandy special Patriot as it has a rather feminine pink
bumper and window trimmings. You have to pass this mission though if you're
into collecting this.
NOTE: A no wanted level once you've stepped into the casino marker.
METHOD 1
Do the mission up to the point where you have to intercept the Sindaccos in a
car. Perform a drive-by on them and on the third wave where they will be in a
Patriot, just wait for them in the casino until they arrive. Once they get off
the vehicle waste them quickly while not allowing any one of them to plant a
bomb. When they're all dead, grab the Patriot and intercept an explosive-laden
Yankee that would be used for their final attack. Perform a drive-by to the
van until you destroy it. Mission passed; store this Patriot to your garage
then save.
*****************************************************************************
9.10: NAVY BLUE MANANA
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Salvatore's Salvation
Character : JD O Toole
Difficulty : 1
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
Salvatore would be kidnapped by the Sindaccos in this mission and would be
kept in the trunk of a car. They intend to kill him by dumping the car with
him in the crusher so you must now try to save him. The car that you have to
follow to the location where Salvatore is being held is a Manana that has an
unobtainable color from Pay N spray. You can choose to fail this mission first
if you want to get this car.
METHOD 1
Start the mission and quickly intercept the Manana he's driving. The Sindacco
driver would get off the car and flee, you will fail the mission but this car
would be just there, waiting for you to save it in your garage. This is no
doubt the simplest and easiest way to get it. You can opt to wait until it
parks to where Salvatore is being kept then just let the Sindaccos escape with
him in another car and let Salvatore get killed, but why wait that long in the
mission when the bottom line is just failing it.
*****************************************************************************
9.11: LIGHT NAVY BLUE KURUMA
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Salvatore's Salvation
Character : JD O Toole
Difficulty : 3
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
In the same mission where you have to rescue Salvatore from the Sindaccos, the
car where he is being kept in the trunk is this Kuruma that sports a lighter
shade of the Manana color. But you have to fail the mission if you wish to
keep this since this would vanish once you're successfully done with the task.
METHOD 1
Start the mission and follow the blue Manana to lead you where Salvatore is
being held. After the cut scene, approach the location where this car is
before they get in the car and drive to the crusher. You can snipe the
Sindacco who's going to drive the car or engage them in a quick gunfight and
grab the Kuruma once it is left unattended. Drive into a seaside location in
Harwood beside a construction site and ditch the car into the water. You'll
fail the mission for killing Salvatore, but more importantly than Salvatore's
life if you're after this car is you can now just stash this into your garage
then save it.
*****************************************************************************
9.12: SKY BLUE SANCHEZ & RED SANCHEZ
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Booby Prize
Character : Maria
Difficulty : 2
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
You have to win back Maria here who decided to offer herself as the prize in a
bike race, probably due to her lack of attention from Salvatore. So now you
are tasked to get her back or both of you would be in trouble with Salvatore.
This bike has a nice sky blue color that isn't a normal color in a Sanchez.
METHOD 1
The catch here is knocking the biker off the Sanchez by hitting him with a
baseball bat that would also immediately start the race. Don't worry, as you
won't fail the race by doing so unlike if you shoot or torch any of your
racing opponents. You won't be able to steal the bike by pressing action
button (triangle for PS2) since you won't move at all. You have to use the
baseball bat somehow to knock off the biker and steal the Sanchez. Now once
he's off his bike and the race starts, get on his bike, start racing and try
to overtake the others. Despite not driving into the start marker, you will
still be legitimately racing in this case. If you win the race, the bike would
still be with you that you can just store then in your garage and save.
METHOD 2
An alternate method is failing the mission. Don't drive into the start line,
approach the biker riding this Sanchez on foot instead and knock him off with
a baseball bat. Grab this bike and ditch it into the water in a seaside
location in Harwood to fail the race and obtain the motorbike. Do not use any
firearm, Molotov or flamethrower though or you'll fail the mission and the
bike would disappear after the fadeout.
*****************************************************************************
9.13: BLACK PCJ 600
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Biker Heat
Character : Maria
Difficulty : 1
Source : GTA_Loco
In the same mission where you can get a bulletproof PCJ 600 from Wayne, one of
his gang mate's bike happens to be a black PCJ 600 which is something you
won't find around the cities with a Pay N Spray unobtainable color.
You can choose not to bother with this as you can always find one in
Salvatore's mansion all the time. So this one is pretty much useless to obtain
in this mission.
METHOD 1
As soon as the chase part begins, ride in this bike that you would find parked
to your right and run after Wayne. Kill him in any way to pass the mission and
keep this.
*****************************************************************************
9.14: BLACK PONY
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : Taking the Peace
Character : Salvatore Leone
Difficulty : 1 or 3
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
Salvatore has plans to sabotage a peace deal between the Sindaccos and the
Forellis so he has chosen to mess with Paulie Sindacco's car by attaching a
remote control that can take driving control of it. You will be tasked to get
into a black Pony where the controls are, but you mustn't kill Paulie or
you'll fail the mission. Whether you fail or pass this mission, you can keep
the special black van for yourself.
METHOD 1
Answer the phone to begin the mission. Get into the van and just drive
Paulie's car with the remote control and mess with the Forellis. Try not to
kill Paulie if you want to complete this successfully, after accomplishing
your task, just store this black Pony in a garage and save. If you unavoidably
killed Paulie and failed the mission, you can still just keep this to your
garage and redo the mission.
*****************************************************************************
9.15: WHITE PERMANENT STRETCH
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : Love & Bullets
Character : Donald Love
Difficulty : 2
Source : GTA_Loco
In this mission you have to save Donald Love from an ambush set-up by the
Forellis near your safe house. You will be driving for him in a White Stretch,
whose color is rather a normal one for this car and ordinarily obtainable from
Pay N Spray, but what makes this car special is the fact that its white color
can't be altered however you respray it at Pay N Spray. You can ordinarily
obtain three colors for a Stretch car including a black, off white and white
color, but Donald's Stretch wouldn't acquire the other two colors from any Pay
N Spray. It's sort of a fixed color for the car, similar to the black of a
Leone Sentinel.
METHOD 1
Start the mission and kill all the ambushing Forellis. Defend Donald Love from
the two waves of their attack, once you've successfully done so, just drive
the Stretch to Donald's building. If it sustained some damages, just respray
it and don't worry about its white color since it'd be permanent and
unchangeable. Complete the mission, and just save this to your garage.
*****************************************************************************
9.16: CHROME RED STALLION WITH NAVY BLUE ROOF
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : Love & Bullets
Character : Donald Love
Difficulty : 3
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
You can find this in the same mission where Donald's Stretch and Black Bobcat
can be found, while you're on a task to save Donald Love from certain death
from a Forelli ambush. An ordinary motorist driving a Stallion would get
caught up in the firefight and would leave his car just beside Donald Love's
white Stretch that you were driving. This stallion has a bright chrome red
body with a navy blue roof, color schemes which are not obtainable from any
Pay N Spray. Sometimes this car would appear without the roof, if it does so
just restart the mission and wait for it to appear with the navy blue roof.
METHOD 1
Once the shooting starts, kill all the ambushing Forellis before they destroy
Donald Love's white Stretch. There will be a second attack from a couple of
Forellis in a Bobcat and you must kill them too. Once you're done, store the
Stallion to your garage, then get Donald Love and drive him to his place.
After you pass the mission, go back to your garage, open the door and let it
close again to save the car.
*****************************************************************************
9.17: BLACK BOBCAT
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : Love & Bullets
Character : Donald Love
Difficulty : 3
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
This is the vehicle in the same mission that a couple of Forellis gangsters
would be riding in and who would try to attack Donald Love for a second time
after you've cleared off the ambush set-up. The vehicle in question is
sporting an all-over black color that is unobtainable at Pay N Spray for a
Bobcat. This has black bumpers too which you won't obtain anywhere for this
vehicle.
METHOD 1
Once the shooting starts, kill all the ambushing Forellis before they destroy
Donald Love's white Stretch. A second wave of attack would then occur from a
couple of Forelli gangsters riding in a Black Bobcat coming from the direction
of the Pay N Spray. Kill them also before they do any harm to Donald Love.
Once you're done with all of them, store the Bobcat to your garage then get
Donald Love and drive him to his place. After you pass the mission, go back to
your garage, open the door and let it close again to save the vehicle.
*****************************************************************************
9.18: WHITE BOBCAT WITH BROWN BUMPER
*****************************************************************************
Location : Shoreside Vale
Mission : Panlantic Land Grab
Character : Donald Love
Difficulty : 2
Source : GTA_Loco
Avery Carrington, Donald Love's former mentor is coming to Liberty City to
establish some business deals and Donald Love, out of his desperation to
recover his losses would like you to kill Avery and snatch his plans. Avery
would be riding in a white Bobcat whose body color isn't anything special, but
it has a brown bumper, which is something you would never regularly see in
this type of vehicle. Two Cartel Cruisers would also escort him so you have to
be careful in snatching the Bobcat.
METHOD 1
Once you're ready to follow Avery, intercept their convoy and perform a quick
drive-by on the Cartel Cruisers. This action would prompt Avery to escape,
chase him and just a few shots to his vehicle would immediately make him go on
foot. Kill Avery on this chance, get off your vehicle but make sure the
Colombians are not behind you or the mission will fail if Donald gets killed
who would be following you all the time. Now snatch the plans from a fallen
Avery, ride his Bobcat and make your way back to Donald's place to complete
the mission.
*****************************************************************************
9.19: YELLOW FAGGIO
*****************************************************************************
Location : Shoreside Vale
Mission : Stop the Press
Character : Donald Love
Difficulty : 3
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
In a previous mission where you wasted Avery Carrington upon the request of
Donald Love, a reporter was able to take some photos of the incident so now
you must get the photos from him. He tried to dupe you though and would
attempt to escape, so now you must waste him. His get away Faggio has a yellow
color that you can't get at Pay N spray.
METHOD 1
Do the mission, look for the reporter and beat him until his scare meter is
filled. Now drive him over to the lock-up where you're supposed to pick-up the
incriminating photos. He will try to escape after the cut scene for which you
must chase him now. Don't let him get away or you'll fail the mission. Try to
quickly grab a faster vehicle if you can have the chance then ram his Faggio
to knock him off. Do not shoot him while he's on the bike or you'll destroy
it. If he falls off his bike, quickly shoot him to complete the mission. Store
the bike to your garage then save.
*****************************************************************************
9.20: LIGHT BLUE FAGGIO
*****************************************************************************
Location : Shoreside Vale
Mission : Stop the Press
Character : Donald Love
Difficulty : 1 or 3
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
In the same mission where you can find the yellow Faggio, there's another
Faggio that would be given to you to chase the reporter. This one has a
special color light blue. Ordinarily, Pay N spray has a darker blue for this
scooter. You can choose to either fail the mission or pass it, whether you're
getting the yellow Faggio as well or would just be content on having this one
to your collection.
METHOD 1
Do the mission up to the point where you have to go to the reporter's lock-up.
As he tries to escape, ride this blue Faggio you'll find nearby then proceed
to your garage and just wait for the reporter to escape to fail your mission.
METHOD 2
After the cut scene, ride this blue Faggio and chase the escaping reporter.
Try to get closer to him while shooting at him until you kill him to pass the
mission. Don't leave this scooter or it might disappear once you've completed
the mission. It might be more difficult chasing your target with this slowpoke
but you should still do just fine as long as you avoid getting knocked off
crashing into cars or lampposts.
*****************************************************************************
9.21: CHROME RED RUMPO
*****************************************************************************
Location : Shoreside Vale
Mission : Bringing the House Down
Character : Eight Ball
Difficulty : 4
Source : GTA_Loco
Donald Love has another sinister plan for his comeback and this time he is
planning on making a fortune in the construction business by first blowing up
a sizeable portion of Staunton Island. He has contracted Eight Ball to prepare
some explosives that you will carry in a van you have to drive under the
tunnel where you will plant them. The Rumpo that will be used here has a
bright chrome red color that covers the entire vehicle including the bumpers,
something you wouldn't get from a normal one. This would be a sensitive task
as the van is in danger of exploding if you damage it extensively. That's why
you have to drive this very carefully along the way.
METHOD 1
As soon as you get control of the van, drive over to the Wichita Gardens
lagoon and carefully ditch this into the water in the same way you did it to
the Forelli Exsess in a previous mission. Along the way you will be harassed
by a group of Forellis, get off your van and waste these creeps. Sometimes you
will earn some wanted stars and if that happens, just jack another car and
lose the heat in the nearest Pay N Spray, or if you can some nearby police
bribes.
If you make it to the lagoon to ditch this van, you will fail the mission but
now the van would be yours, interestingly along with some bombs inside.
METHOD 2
Drive over to the tunnel and engage a group of Forelli gangsters somewhere
along the way who would try to intercept you to sabotage your mission. After
you've killed them, clear your wanted level if you've earned some by using the
Pay N Spray, then go ahead with the task planting the bombs under the tunnel,
following the yellow markers to your destinations where you must place them.
Remember to drive carefully while you still have the bombs with you or you run
the risk of blowing yourself up. Once you've completed planting all the bombs,
make your way out of the tunnel driving in the van and keep an eye for a
couple of Forelli gangsters who would try to block you on the way out. Waste
them, then continue driving out of the tunnel with the van, complete the
mission then save.
*****************************************************************************
9.22: SKY BLUE HELLENBACH GT
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Low Rider Rumble
Character : Portland Hidden Race
Difficulty : 2
Source : GTA_Loco
You can find this very rare type of car in a hidden race you can obtain by a
payphone just outside of Don Kiddick's Sausage Factory near Joey's auto shop
in Trenton. In GTA3, this payphone is exactly the same one used for Marty
Chonk's missions. A normally colored Hellenbach has a two-color scheme but all
the three Hellenbachs you're supposed to race against here have an all-over
paintjob which are not obtainable ordinarily. This one in particular has a sky
blue color that looks really cool.
Method 1
When you do the mission, instead of driving into the marker get off your car
and hit any of the cars that would trigger the race. You won't be able to
steal this car not until your opponents have finished the laps. This, as well
as the others would be locked before and during the race so you'll have to
wait for them to return to the start line, during which you must be in any car
or the mission will fail with the cars disappearing.
Once you see them park in the finish line, the doors would now be unlocked,
steal this car, drive over to a seaside location in Harwood near a
construction site and ditch the car into the water. This would fail the
mission but you are now the owner of this exclusively colored sky blue
Hellenbach. Winning or losing the race by officially starting it would make
this as well as the other cars disappear after the fadeout. Do not attack the
other racers in any other manner as well even if you're in this or the other
cars or you'll find yourself on foot without any of the exclusively colored
Hellenbachs on sight.
*****************************************************************************
9.23: WHITE HELLENBACH GT
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Low Rider Rumble
Character : Portland Hidden Race
Difficulty : 2
Source : GTA_Loco
One of the other three Hellenbachs mentioned above that you'd be racing
against in the same race as the sky blue one. It's an all white one, which
isn't obtainable ordinarily for this car anywhere.
Method 1
When you do the mission, instead of driving into the marker get off your car
and hit any of your racing opponents that would trigger the race. You won't be
able to steal this car not until your opponents have finished the laps. This,
as well as the others would be locked before and during the race so you'll
have to wait for them to return to the start line, during which you must be in
any car or the mission will fail.
Once you see them park in the finish line, steal this car, drive over to a
seaside location in Harwood near a construction site and ditch it into the
water. This would fail the mission but you are now the owner of this
exclusively colored white Hellenbach. Exactly anything that would make the Sky
Blue Helllenbach unobtainable if you fail the race wrongly applies to this one
as well.
*****************************************************************************
9.24: CHROME RED HELLENBACH GT
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Low Rider Rumble
Character : Portland Hidden Race
Difficulty : 2
Source : GTA_Loco
Another one in the same race, the red color of this one is brighter than the
red you can get from Pay N Spray and applies even to the hood, which isn't a
regular paintjob for this car.
Method 1
Apply exactly the same method as the two other Hellenbachs listed above.
*****************************************************************************
9.25: SKY BLUE DEIMOS SP
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : Deimos Dash
Character : Staunton Payphone Hidden Race
Difficulty : 2
Source : GTA_Loco
A nice sporty car with a nice exclusive color that you can get in a hidden
race in Staunton Island. You can obtain this hidden race by the payphone
located in an open car park near the stadium in Belleville Park. This car has
a light blue color that isn't obtainable anywhere. The other two similar cars
in the same race sport normal colors.
METHOD 1
Basically the same as the Hellenbach cars method, trigger the race and just
wait for them to return to the start line. Steal this and ditch it into the
water in Bedford Point pier. Get in the car by using the passenger side door
not the driver's door. Don't worry about your time as there's no limit and you
won't fail the race for taking too long. What would fail the race for you and
lose this car is if you attack your racing opponents with guns, explosive or
flame based weapons before the race starts, or attacked it by destroying it
with some explosive after it parks in the finish line, went on with the race
and lost driving a different car, or even if you win the race also driving a
different car, this car would vanish after the fadeout. That's why it's
necessary to fail this race by stealing the car first and then destroying it
into the water.
*****************************************************************************
9.26: SKY BLUE CHEETAH
*****************************************************************************
Location : Shoreside Vale
Mission : Wi-Cheetah Run
Character : Shoreside Payphone Hidden Race
Difficulty : 2
Source : GTA_Loco
The payphone for obtaining the race where you can get this car is exactly the
same phone used for the D-Ice payphone missions in GTA3, in front of an
apartment complex in Wichita Gardens. The blue shade of this car is darker
than the one and only blue that you can obtain from Pay N Spray.
METHOD 1
Basically the same method as the other racing car methods, trigger the race by
hitting any of the cars with your bare hand or with any melee weapon but never
with a firearm, flame based or explosive weapon, and just wait for them to
return to the start line. Steal this once they return and parked and ditch it
into the lagoon in Wichita Gardens that is just nearby. Be careful though in
doing so since unlike in the Harwood location, the slope of the lagoon going
into the water is a bit steep and slippery. But if you succeed in ditching it
and failing the race for "destroying the car", you definitely can obtain this
uniquely colored sports car.
*****************************************************************************
9.27: CHROME RED CHEETAH
*****************************************************************************
Location : Shoreside Vale
Mission : Wi-Cheetah Run
Character : Shoreside Payphone Hidden Race
Difficulty : 2
Source : GTA_Loco
Same method as the sky blue cheetah above. This has a bright chrome red color
that is very different from the one you can have at Pay N Spray.
METHOD 1
Trigger the race by hitting any of the cars with any melee weapon and just
wait for this to return to the start line. Steal this once it comes back and
park where together with the other cars they started and ditch it into the
lagoon in Wichita Gardens, which is just nearby. Fail the race for destroying
this car but you can now obtain this and just save it in your garage.
*****************************************************************************
9.28: SKY BLUE PCJ 600
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island & Shoreside Vale
Mission : Torrington TT & Gangsta GP
Character : Payphone Hidden Races
Difficulty : 2
Source : GTA_Loco
You can find this motorbike in two different races in two different locations.
The hidden race in Staunton is obtainable by a payphone in Bedford Point near
Donald Love's building while the one in Shoreside Vale is by a payphone
outside of a warehouse. This bike has a nice all-over sky blue color. PCJs
normally have a two-color scheme, with a different color on the bottom side
except for the red one. There is one ordinary sky blue color PCJ 600 but that
one has a white bottom part.
METHOD 1
Basically the same method applies here as the Maria mission "Booby Prize". You
can immediately snatch this from the biker by hitting him with a baseball bat,
which will knock him off yet you won't fail the race for attacking him in that
manner. This will also trigger the race and all you have to do now is just
ride the bike and try to overtake the others. You can just keep this
afterwards if you win the race.
METHOD 2
If first grabbing this bike then proceeding with the race would prove somewhat
difficult for you, you can opt to fail this instead by ditching it in Bedford
Point pier if you're doing the Staunton race, and by the lagoon in Wichita
Gardens if you're doing the Shoreside Vale race once you've grabbed it from
the biker after you knock him off. Do not use any other type of weapon though
before you start the race or you'll fail the mission and the bike would
disappear after the fadeout. Pressing the action button won't do anything
either, that's why you have to resort to a baseball bat to steal the bike.
*****************************************************************************
9.29: WHITE PCJ 600
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island & Shoreside Vale
Mission : Torrington TT & Gangsta GP
Character : Staunton & Shoreside Payphone Hidden Races
Difficulty : 2
Source : GTA_Loco
This is just the other bike in the same races as the sky blue PCJ 600. An
ordinarily colored white PCJ 600 has a cream-colored bottom part, but this one
has an all-over White paintjob.
METHOD 1
Exactly the same methods and considerations as with the Sky Blue PCJ 600.
*****************************************************************************
9.29: LIGHT BLUE STINGER
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Sicilian Gambit
Character : Salvatore Leone
Difficulty : 3
Source : GTA_Loco
The last mission from Salvatore would require you to rescue the mayor of
Liberty City who was kidnapped by the Sicilians in an effort to take control
of the turf. As you and Salvatore go on your way to try and rescue the mayor,
a group of Sicilians would ambush you as soon as you hit the road. They would
be riding in Stingers with a Light Blue color, something that you wouldn't
normally get for this car anywhere. These cars are not proofed and you
shouldn't be bothered getting them unless you like them for their exclusive
color, since there's a far better version of this in the Car Salesman mission.
METHOD 1
In any case, if you really feel like obtaining this car despite the fact that
it isn't proofed at all, you have to fail the mission to be able to do so.
Passing the mission would require you to go to the lighthouse to complete your
task then back again to your safe house where you wouldn't find any of these
cars anymore.
Start the mission, ride with Salvatore and wait outside of the mansion for the
Stingers to appear. When you see them, engage them in a shootout on foot and
kill the mobsters once they get off their car. Steal one of the cars and kill
Salvatore in any manner. You'll fail the mission as a result, but this
exclusively colored car would now be yours to just store in your garage.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
10. UNIQUE VEHICLES
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
As the term implies, a unique vehicle is a one of its kind vehicle in the
game, which makes it special in its own way. As such, it is totally different
from an exclusively colored vehicle in that it not simply has a different
paintjob but has different looks as well and has no other similar ones
anywhere. The different feature maybe a modification of an existing feature in
a vehicle or additional ones that set it apart from the ordinary.
Most of those listed here are mission based and some are infinitely obtainable
spawned on designated locations after you've completed certain side missions.
Only one is non-mission based, two are obtainable from main storyline missions
and are one time appearance only, while the rest are side-mission based ones
which can be seen and obtained almost anytime once they spawned for
successfully completing a required number of levels in the mission.
*****************************************************************************
10.01: CAMPAIGN RUMPO
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : Steering the Vote
Character : Donald Love
Difficulty : 1 or 3
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
Donald Love would like you to grab from O' Donovan, an electoral opponent, the
marginal votes in the election. You will be required to drive a campaign van
and pass into some yellow markers spread all over Staunton and you need to
grab 5 of these then waste your opponents to pass the mission. Your opponent
would also send a couple of vans that would try to grab back what you've
acquired. So if they get back all of what you've taken, you will fail the
mission.
The van you will be driving as well as your opponents' look like normal Rumpos
except for the pair of megaphone at the top and they have colors that aren't
assigned normally to a Rumpo. You will be driving a van that has an all-blue
color and your opponent will have an all-red one. You can always find these
two vans; the blue and the red one regularly spawned at the foot of the
stadium in Aspatria and another one in Portland View just beside the precinct
and hospital in Portland Island quite regularly even during free roam. The
blue one you can find always parked just across the street almost in front of
the LCFR radio station in Bedford Point apparently any time of the day. After
you complete the mission "Counterfeit Count" however, you wouldn't find any of
these vans anymore in their locations.
METHOD 1
If you want the blue one, check out a parking lot almost in front of the LCFR
radio station right across the street from it any time of the day even in free
roam you'd find this just parked there after completing Donald Love's
missions "Steering the Vote" and before completing "Counterfeit Count".
METHOD 2
Another way to get the blue one you're driving is to ditch this into the water
in Bedford Point pier as soon as you get control of it. No need to pass into
any of the yellow marker. After you fail the mission, just save it to your
garage.
MEHTOD 3
Still for the blue van, start the mission and begin driving into the yellow
markers. Pass into a couple of them, then intercept and destroy the red vans
your opponent would send out once they appear. If you've attracted police
attention, try to grab any police bribe but never use the Pay N spray. After
you get rid of your problem with the cops, just continue passing thru the
yellow markers until you've done so in five of them, after which you have to
destroy the additional red vans your opponent would send out again to complete
the mission. Just store the blue van in the garage then save.
METHOD 4
For the red van, check out two locations where this would be parked regularly
even during free roam after you completed the mission "Steering the Vote" and
before doing "Counterfeit Count". The locations where you can find this van
are, at the foot of the stadium in Aspatria, Staunton Island and beside the
precinct and hospital in Portland View in Portland Island which nico ja
informed me about just recently.
METHOD 5
Another way to get the red one is to destroy the van you're driving near any
of the two red vans so that it'll come to a stop and you can just steal it
then.
Before you pass into the markers, shoot your van until it emits black smoke.
Now drive into a couple of markers to spawn the red vans, drive towards the
nearest one from your position and once you see it coming towards you if it
happens to be going in that direction, get off and finish off your vehicle. If
you succeed, you'll see that the red van would come to an abrupt stop,
approach it, take out your sniper rifle and snipe out the driver since the
van's doors would be locked. The driver would fall off the vehicle leaving the
door open; get in it and save it to your garage.
*****************************************************************************
10.02: BALLOT VAN
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Counterfeit Count
Character : Donald Love
Difficulty : 2
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
It's bad news for Donald Love this time since the exit polls are neck and
neck. He wants you to resort to a dirty plan of stealing the uncounted votes
and replace them with Donald's. These ballots would be delivered by a unique-
looking van to some waiting couriers at designated locations, whom you must
kill at least three of these couriers then snatch the ballots from them after
each exchange to pass the mission. Missing an exchange and letting a courier
get away, scaring or harming the van making the delivery of the ballots would
fail the mission.
The van carrying the ballots looks like a normal Pony except that it has a
special Midnight Blue body color, deep blue front and rear bumpers color, has
just one window at the back with a vertical metal handle and a "GRUPPE SECHS"
marking at the back which makes it different from a regular Pony.
Interestingly, you can also find several ballot boxes at the back of this van
permanently included in the whole vehicle package.
METHOD 1
An easier method to get this is to fail the mission by snatching it from the
guy driving it before all his deliveries is even completed.
So as soon as you start the mission, trace the location of the van by
following the blue blip on the map and quickly intercept it. Once you spot the
van, block its path when it makes a stop to deliver some ballots to a waiting
courier and yank the driver out given that the door would be unlocked. You
will fail the mission immediately for doing so but now the van is yours and
you can just store it in your garage.
METHOD 2
Follow the van carefully wherever it goes, wait for an exchange to happen,
then cap the courier and snatch the ballot from him. Quickly follow the van
again and wait for another exchange to take place then do the same procedure
as with the first exchange. Perform the same method with the third exchange,
but at this point, after the ballots have been picked up by the courier,
quickly snatch the Ballot van from the driver and chase the courier who would
be riding in an Idaho car, do a drive by on him to finish him off and pass the
mission with the Ballot van now in your possession.
*****************************************************************************
10.03: THUNDER RODD
*****************************************************************************
Location : Parking lot near Callahan Bridge, Portland Island
This is the "normal" version of a similar-looking one that you'd find in the
mission "Grease Sucho". It looks like a vintage hotrod with a cool flame
design on the doors. You can find this at a certain time only around 1:00
spawned in an open parking area near the foot of Callahan Bridge.
*****************************************************************************
10.04: BICKLE 76
*****************************************************************************
Location : Mean Street Taxis, Trenton Portland Island
Mission : Taxi Mission
A mean-looking car that you can find only after you've completed 100 fares for
the Taxi side mission. It would spawn at 'Mean Street Taxis' in Trenton - next
to the little alleyway that connects the industrial estate to the docks
entrance.
*****************************************************************************
10.05: MANCHEZ
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Bumps and Grind Challenge
Difficulty : 4
It's actually a reincarnated Sanchez, a more muscular looking one and would
replace the Sanchez in its place after you successfully completed 10 courses
of this hidden challenge. It sports a two-color scheme, which is certainly not
obtainable in any Pay N Spray.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
11. RARE VEHICLES
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Most of these vehicles are rather normal ones, they are not proofed, don't
have any exclusive colors neither are they unique and they very rarely appear
in the game. Some are mission-based and at least one can be found during free
and would be infinitely obtainable after you successfully complete a side
mission.
*****************************************************************************
11.01: DIABLO STALLION
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Calm Before the Storm
Character : JD O Toole
Difficulty : 1
Source : GTA_Loco
A familiar car that you can see a lot in GTA3 but not much in Liberty City
Stories. You can find this very rarely in free roam within the vicinity of
Hepburn Heights and the Red Light district, and in a couple of missions
including this one.
In this mission Salvatore will meet with Massimo, a Sicilian big shot who is
trying to broker a peace within the Mafia families. But the problem is,
Salvatore doesn't trust the guy. So he would like you to follow him wherever
he goes and see what he's really up to.
METHOD 1
Follow Massimo's helicopter wherever it goes. The first place that he would go
to is the construction site in the Red Light District where he will meet up
with some Diablo gangsters. You'll find this vehicle just sitting there and
unlocked. Just steal it and store it in your garage but doing so would
consequently fail the mission once you lose track of Massimo's helicopter.
*****************************************************************************
11.02: FAITH'S MAVERICK
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : False Idols
Character : Fr. Ned
Difficulty : 4
Source : Lancet Jades
There are no regular flyable helicopters you can find in this game just like
in GTA3, that's why it would truly be an almost impossible chance if you can
actually obtain one that you can save in your garage and use to fly around
Liberty City. Fortunately, Lancet Jades has shared of a way in which you can
finally steal one in a mission, though this would involve at least one cheat
in order to succeed. chrislawrance and Spuds725 shared some videos too that
confirmed how you could steal this chopper in the said mission.
The helicopter in question here belongs to Faith, one of your targets who
would be riding in one. As the mission objective goes, you have to intercept
and kill three persons whom Fr. Ned wants wasted before any of them can reach
LCFR radio station in Staunton Island. Faith would be the last one you must
prevent from reaching the radio station, for which you have to take a golden
opportunity as well of owning a rare aircraft.
METHOD 1 (Lancet Jades (PS2 version))
Start the mission in a Yankee or an ambulance; proceed to Newport boatyard
where your first target, DB-P will arrive. Kill his three bodyguards then him,
intercept your second target who will be riding in a black Stretch, which
would pass by your safe house. Chase him and perform a drive-by until you
finish him off too or you can choose to just blast him away with an RPG as he
passes by. If you've earned some wanted stars for doing so, quickly lose the
heat using the Pay N Spray nearby but don't delay for time is of the essence
here. Now that two of your targets are out of the way, it's your last target's
turn to die and from whom you can collect a Maverick helicopter as a sweet
reward.
Quickly drive over to the backside of the LCFR radio station, look for a low
portion of the building, enter the cheat code Perfect Handling (L1, UP, LEFT,
R1, TRIANGLE, CIRCLE, DOWN, X /Press DOWN while driving a car to make it hop
really high) then make your vehicle hop onto it. Gain momentum and make your
vehicle hop again onto the highest part of the building's roof, position it in
the approximate path where the chopper would pass by. But whatever you do,
NEVER PARK ON THE SPOT WHERE THE MAVERICK WOULD LAND. You'll fall through gray
space and would respawn on the road just in front of the radio station. If
this happens, it might spoil your effort and chance to steal the Maverick. So
just park anywhere on the roof along the chopper's path.
Now get off and jump on top of your vehicle, then just wait for the chopper to
arrive. Once it flies near you, steal it by pressing triangle to yank out the
pilot. Ride the chopper during which your target would try to flee, land near
where he's at, get off your vehicle then just blast him away. With all your
targets now dead, head over to the church using the chopper, finally step into
the marker to pass the mission. After the mission completion message, you will
still find your prize just waiting for you to store it in your Staunton
garage. Save the chopper and the game then you can just cruise around Liberty
City in this one to your heart's desire.
*****************************************************************************
11.03: HELLENBACH GT
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Snuff
Character : Vincenzo
Difficulty : 2
Source : Lancet Jades
The very first ocassion where you'd see this car. You're tasked by Vincenzo to
waste a Sindacco heavy whom the Leones see as an obstacle to using JD as an
informant to their activities. This car doesn't ordinarily drive around the
cities which makes it a rare car. There are a couple more occasions where you
can obtain this car if you happen to miss getting this during this mission.
METHOD 1
Start the mission and make your way first to Ammu-Nation to buy a gun. Proceed
then to the construction site in Hepburn Heights, step into the marker, then
engage the Sindacco gangsters to a shootout after the cut scene. Make your way
to where the Sindacco heavy is at, you'd find him standing beside this car. At
this point though the car would be immobile, not ntil you kill your target and
grab his phone. After the cut scene, you will be instructed to respray the
car, do so to pass the mission and then you can just store this Hellenbach to
your garage.
*****************************************************************************
11.04: MR. WHOOPEE
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Scooter Shooter
Character : Toni Cipriani
Difficulty : 2
Source : Ubersoldier
So you like ice cream? Well actually you can't have one in the game but if you
can just settle for the van that supposedly sell one, then by all means you
can get it when doing a hidden side mission in Chinatown, Portland Island.
Thanks to Ubersoldier for discovering a way to get this, which others
previously have suspected can only be obtained via cheat device.
In this side mission you're supposed to shoot vehicles, starting with at least
nine of them while riding on a Faggio scooter with grandma behind the wheels.
Your first two targets will always be this Mr. Whoopee van, but you'll most
probably be able to get only the first one almost every time as it'd always be
the nearest from where you'd spawn once you fail the mission, which is on the
same spot where you started it.
One nice thing about this van is it's the only vehicle that plays a thematic
music with cute looks to match, even though it's kind of heavy and slow to
drive. This is no doubt a very rare van you won't normally find in free roam,
but you can still be able to spawn and obtain it after failing the mission.
The key here is to kill your driver and don't lose the music. If after you
kill your driver upon having visual with the van you still hear its music
playing in the background, then you have a good chance of stealing it. You can
choose one or all three types of it: 1) without a sign at the back 2) with "I
Will Chill Again" and 3) with "Please Stop Me".
METHOD 1
Ride on a PCJ 600 or Sanchez to the mission location and park the bike nearby.
You will need this to chase the Mr. Whoopee van in the event it still appears
after you fail the mission. Now ride on the Faggio to start the mission. After
the cut scene, wait for the Mr. Whoopee van which would normally appear at the
curve of the road just behind where you started the mission. The van would
normally make its way towards Trenton by making a right turn at the corner,
although sometimes it'd make its way straight to Chinatown even passing by
just in front of the mission location. On rare occasions it'd spawn somewhere
else but it'd be easiest to get it if appears by the curve of the road. If it
hasn't made a right turn yet going to Trenton, then you're still likely good
to go. But if it has already done so and has gone halfway down the street
towards Trenton, then you've lost your chance and you must restart the mission
again.
Assuming it spawned in the ideal location, as soon as you have a visual on it,
shoot your driver to fail the mission then exit as quickly as you can. You'd
find yourself back to where you started, and if you still hear the music of
the van playing in the background, ride your bike and quickly go to where you
last saw it before you failed the mission. If you're fortunate enough that it
pass by near your location, just do a quick drive by or throw one Molotov to
it to flush out the driver since the van's doors would all be locked. Once the
driver gets off, ride the van and store it in your garage.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
12. IDENTICAL SPECIAL VEHICLES
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
These are essentially duplicates, either first or second appearance of a
special vehicle that appeared in another mission. Their special properties are
exactly the same as their counterpart in the final state that they were
obtainable. Some will even appear in several numbers in just a single mission,
and sometimes on occasions that seem to give you another chance of obtaining
them should you failed to do so earlier or garage space didn't permit. Those
that are listed here are the harder ones to get.
*****************************************************************************
12.01: BLACK SENTINEL
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : A Walk in the Park
Character : Salvatore Leone
Difficulty : 3
Source : HuGooGuh & MasterOfWeapons
For your first Staunton mission for Salvatore, you would have to kill the
mayor of the city because he is giving your boss a hard time. He will come in
a black Sentinel along with a couple of similar cars driven by his bodyguards.
This would be the car's second appearance having the same color as its first
appearance in Ma Cipriani's Portland Island mission.
*****************************************************************************12
.02: BLACK PONY
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : Night of the Living Dreads
Character : Ray Machowski/Leon MacAffrey
Difficulty : 3
Source : HuGooGuh & MasterOfWeapons
Leon would like you to help a group of Yardies whose newly acquired turf in
Newport is being threatened by the Sindaccos. The four Ponys that they will be
driving in are all black and this is a special color for the van.
Again you have to fail this mission if you wish to keep any of these.
Completing the mission would make all of them disappear.
Note: Another no wanted level once you enter the first wave of firefight after
you waste the three Sindaccos on the first occasion.
METHOD 1
Do the mission and proceed to Newport at the back of Ammu-Nation, kill those
three Sindaccos you'll find there. This would trigger a massive firefight and
waves of attacks from the rival mobsters. Pick any of the black Pony you can
find in some locations around the scene of the firefight killing any Sindaccos
threat getting in the way. Then kill any one of the Yardies but make sure the
Pony is within your sight. After mission failure, the Pony would still be
there and you can just save it in your garage.
*****************************************************************************
12.03: FIREPROOF RUMPO
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : Friggin the Riggin
Character : Donald Love
Difficulty : 3
Source : PADMAN from Sundar Subramaniam - LCS Secrets FAQ
Previously listed as unobtainable, this second appearance of a Fireproof Rumpo
is one you can finally own should you really want to have this and in case you
didn't have space for it when it first appeared in an early mission while
you're still in Portland Island. Key action here also is to fail the mission
while this fireproof vehicle is ditched into the water.
In this mission Donald Love would ask you to torch a printing facility of the
Forellis in order to sabotage their operations of rigging the votes. After you
have torched much of the place, a group of Forelli gangsters would arrive in a
third Rumpo that is Fireproof, but only while the mission is ongoing.
This van is not in any of the two you would find parked outside of the
printing facility when you arrived at the place.
Before you proceed to your mission though, you'd be required to have a
flamethrower that you'd use to torch the place but molotovs would do as well.
METHOD 1
Head on to the printing facility at Fort Staunton, kill whatever Forelli
gangster would get in your way. Start torching the place while killing any
gangster who would try to get at you. As you are about to finish your task
when you have only about a couple more stuffs to burn remaining, it's at this
point that a group of Forelli gangsters would arrive in a Fireproof Rumpo that
they would park inside the facility. Whatever you do, do not destroy the two
vans parked outside anytime during the mission or you'll never be able to fail
the mission to obtain the fireproofing of the third Rumpo. Passing the mission
or failing it by just letting one or both of the other vans escape without
ditching this Fireproof Rumpo first into the water would revert this back to a
normal one.
So continue burning the remaining stuffs then you will be instructed to chase
and finish off the vans parked outside which some gangsters would use as their
get away vehicles. Get in the Fireproof Rumpo parked inside the building,
quickly head off to Bedford Point pier, and drive the van rear first, angled a
bit to the left of your point of view slowly into the water. Get off the van
and push it slowly some more until it's halfway submerged into the water, now
just wait for the mission to fail for letting the other vans escape. Note that
you have roughly about two minutes only to ditch this van into the water
before you fail the mission. If you succeed, just drive this out of the water
then save it in your garage. There you have it, another Fireproof Rumpo you
can finally own.
*****************************************************************************
12.04: SKY BLUE SANCHES & RED SANCHES
*****************************************************************************
Location : Chinatown, Portland Island
Mission : Red Light Racing
Character : Hidden Race
Difficulty : 3
Source : GTA_Loco
You will find this first chance when you do the Maria mission "Booby Prize".
If you miss getting this in the said mission, there will always be a chance to
obtain it by just entering this race, which you can obtain by the payphone in
Chinatown.
METHOD 1
The catch here also is failing the mission or it will disappear if you win the
race. You can immediately snatch this from the biker by hitting him with a
baseball bat. It will knock him off yet you won't fail the race for attacking
him. This will also trigger the race and all you have to do now is just ride
the bike and dip it in a seaside location in Harwood to fail the race and
obtain the motorbike. Do not use any firearm though or you'll fail the mission
and the bike would disappear after the fadeout. Pressing the action button
won't do anything either, that's why you have to resort to a baseball bat.
*****************************************************************************
12.05: LIGHT BLUE STINGER
*****************************************************************************
Location : Shore side Vale
Mission : Shoreside Redemption
Character : Salvatore Leone
Difficulty : 5
Source : GTA_Loco
This is the first occasion that this Exclusively Colored Stinger would appear.
But it is much harder to get from this mission if you can really be bothered
to have this car on this chance. All of the Stingers that would be used by the
Sicilians to try and ambush the Securicar van carrying Salvatore have a
special light blue color, and you need to fail this mission if you have to
obtain any of these. You can opt to try and steal one of these and proceed
with escorting to safety Salvatore, but you might not have enough chance if
the Sicilians would succeed in destroying the van first.
METHOD 1
Do the mission up to the point where the Sicilians would ambush your convoy.
Follow the van carefully once it makes a detour and once you encounter the
first blockade, get off you vehicle and kill all the mobsters. You will find
about a couple of their cars just parked there, steal any of them and just
abandon Salvatore's van to fail the mission.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
13. UNOBTAINABLE SPECIAL VEHICLES
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
There are quite a number of nice special vehicles especially the proofed cars
which would have been a good addition to the collection had there been some
ways to obtain them. The bulletproof ones would have been very useful and
worth having more of them to stash in the garage, space permitting.
Most of these unobtainable vehicles particularly the bulletproof ones have
special properties, which are limitedly applied in the duration of the mission
only. At a certain stage in the mission, their special properties are
permanently removed. No amount of failing or completing the mission would
allow you to preserve them. Some aren't proofed at all but are Exclusively
Colored and yet their obtain ability are constrained by certain factors in the
mission for some reasons so that there's absolutely no means you can have
them.
*****************************************************************************
13.01: WHITE & SKY BLUE COACH
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Home Sweet Home
Character : Vincenzo
Source : GTA_Loco
It's the nice coach that you'd see in the introductory cut scene, the one you
will be riding in. It has a cool sky blue upper body and white half bottom.
You wouldn't find a color scheme like that with the normal coaches that drive
around Liberty City. Of course this exists only in the cut scene so there's no
way you can have it. And assuming it exists in the game, there's still no
place you can store it.
*****************************************************************************
13.02: FIREPROOF/EXCLUSIVE COLOR BLACK KURUMA
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Home sweet Home
Character : Vincenzo
Source : GTA_Loco
Exactly the same car as the first one listed in the Exclusively Colored
Vehicles section. The very first proofed car in the game you could've owned
had this special proofing been obtainable. This is a nice car to boot, but
you'd just have to deal with the fact that you can only own this for its
special black color. You can't fail the mission by ditching it into the water
or you will go back again from the beginning of the game; neither can you
store this in the garage since it won't be useable until you've passed the
mission. The moment you complete the mission though, this car's fireproofing
would be gone.

13.03: BULLETPROOF/EXPLOSIONPROOF/FIREPROOF HELLENBACH GT
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Snuff
Character : Vincenzo
Source : Sundar Subramaniam - LCS Secrets FAQ
This is the car of a Sindaccos whom you have to waste for being a possible
obstacle to Salvatore's plan to use JD as an inside source of the rival gang.
During the shootout and before you pick up the cell phone, it is Bullet, Fire
& Explosion proof but unfortunately, immobile too. Nothing would make it budge
from the spot where it is stuck, except picking up the cell phone of the
Sindacco gangster after you kill him. But once you do that and after the cut
scene, it will be ride able already but would revert back to a normal car
again without any proofing at all.
*****************************************************************************
13.04: BULLETPROOF/EXPLOSIONPROOF/FIREPROOF KURUMA
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Smash And Grab
Character : Vincenzo
Source : GTA_Loco
When you arrive at the scene of the shootout between three mafia guys and the
police, you will find a burning black Kuruma being used by a group of Leone's
boys as a shield. At this stage it is a proofed car, but it will always
disappear once you fail the mission by killing any one of the mafiosos. It's a
pain pushing this into the water but even there it would vanish after the
fadeout if you fail the mission. You can stash this into the garage or push it
into the mission completion marker and it won't disappear upon passing the
mission, but once you've repaired it in your garage, the special properties
are eaten and it would be ordinary again. You can only get it as a special
black Kuruma.
*****************************************************************************
13.05: WHITE PONY WITH WHITE BUMPERS
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Snappy Dresser
Character : Ma Cipriani
Source : GTA_Loco
It's the first occasion you can find this van with special color bumpers but
there would be no possible way you can obtain this in this mission. This is
the van Giovanni Casa would be using when you're supposed to follow him to
find out what kind of perversion he's into. You won't be able to come close
enough to the van at anytime for you'll immediately fail the mission. Any
actions that you'd attempt, from sniping him, quickly approaching him, or
however else would always result in the same mission failure and the
consequent disappearance of the van. Successfully taking the incriminating
photographs would prompt Casa to drive away in the van that you would never
find again after you pass the mission.
*****************************************************************************
13.06: BULLETPROOF TRIAD FISH VAN
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Big Rumble in Little China
Character : Ma Cipriani
Source : Geist0 from Sundar Subramaniam - LCS Secrets FAQ
Ma Cipriani would challenge your manliness once again here by proving to her
that you're not afraid of the Triad gang. You have to waste some Triads and
one of your targets would be riding a Triad fish van. The fish van is
bulletproof, unlocked and can be stolen, but the catch here is once the
gangster get out of the van, it would right away catch fire for some reasons.
Once it is destroyed then you cannot obtain it anymore since your garage won't
be able to restore it.
*****************************************************************************
13.07: BULLETPROOF/FIREPROOF THUNDER RODD AND STALLIONS
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Grease Sucho
Character : Ma Cipriani
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
These are exactly the same cars listed in the Exclusively Colored Vehicles
section; the three cars you're supposed to race against in the mission are
BP/FP if you would apply the method stated in the aforementioned section, but
only while the race is in progress. Once you fail it in any way or win the
race, in the case of the Thunder Rodd, the cars would always return back to
being normal ones. Only the special paintjob would be obtainable from them.
*****************************************************************************
13.08: NAVY BLUE YANKEE
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Volatile Situation
Character : JD O Toole
Source : GTA_Loco
In this mission where you have to protect Salvatore's casino from four waves
of Sindaccos attacks, if you managed to quell the three attacks, the fourth
one would involve an explosive-laden Yankee that has a special color navy
blue. Its trailer also has light blue color, which can only be seen in a
Yankee with a white body. There seems to be no way you can steal this since
it's too heavy to bump and pin even if you use a Barracks OL or a Fire truck
considering that it's heavy loaded. Once it parks there by the casino, you
wouldn't have enough time too to ditch this into the water before it blows up
plus the fact that it drives really slow because of its cargo. If you block it
and torch it to force the driver out, it would immediately catch fire which
would eventually get destroyed in the process when it explodes.
*****************************************************************************
13.09: MASSIMO'S MAVERICK
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Calm Before the Storm
Character : JD O Toole
Source : Lancet Jades/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
The Maverick helicopter Massimo, a Sicilian boss, would be riding in and which
you are supposed to follow wherever he goes can be stolen on the PSP version
of this game apparently as a glitch. On PS2 however, Rockstar fixed this
glitch so that there's no way you can get past the yellow marker on the roof
and not fail the mission so that you can steal the chopper when it lands
there. But even on the PSP version, you can never obtain this chopper
permanently as you can go a short distance with it around the vicinity of
Chinatown only then you would fail the mission. Not to mention the fact that
the only garage you have at this point is a small one where you wouldn't be
able to fit this in.
On the PSP version, you could drive a PCJ 600 up the stairs into the roof and
past the yellow marker without failing the mission yet before the chopper
would arrive. Once it's there, you can simply steal it but the limitation here
is you cannot go far with it for you will eventually fail the mission and then
you'll get wasted since the game script is designed to delete the chopper upon
mission failure. You can fly around Chinatown but that's only as far as you
can get before you eventually lose the mission. This chopper happens to have
an exclusive black color also.
*****************************************************************************
13.10: FIREPROOF BANSHEE
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Trouble with the Triads
Character : Salvatore Leone
Source : GTA_Loco
This is exactly the one listed on the Exclusively Colored Vehicles section.
Once you've gone to the warehouse in Atlantic Quay when you're supposed to
collect all the money for Salvatore after the Triads bombed the place, if you
go back to Salvatore's mansion you'd find this car sometimes smashed into a
tree and sometimes in the middle of the dirt road and in most occasions it is
Fireproof but the doors would be locked. However, once the mission is passed
or failed, this special property is removed from the car once you repair it in
your garage. Problem here is that your mission is timed that's why you
wouldn't have sufficient chance to ditch this into the water to possibly
preserve its fireproofing if you're going for the mission failure option.
*****************************************************************************
13.11: FIREPROOF SINDACCO ARGENTO
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Taken for A Ride
Character : Maria
Source : GTA_Loco
Another nice proofed mafia car had it only been obtainable. The Sindaccos
dealer that Maria is supposed to meet in Chinatown would be riding in a
fireproof car but it would only be so before Maria would be kidnapped or you
fail the mission by scaring them away. You can shake off Maria into not
following you and if you manage to do so, head off to the where the meet is
supposed to happen, you will find this car just parked on the spot. But the
problem is, the doors are locked and attempting to open it repeatedly, hitting
the car or sniping the driver would prompt it to speed away and fail the
mission. When that happens the car would be ordinary again. If you proceed
with the chase, the car would also lose the fireproofing.
*****************************************************************************
13.12: BULLETPROOF/FIREPROOF SANCHEZ
*****************************************************************************
Location : Portland Island
Mission : Booby Prize
Character : Maria
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
Also exactly the same ones listed in the Exclusively Colored Vehicles section,
the bikes you're supposed to race against in this mission to win back Maria
are all BP/FP ones but only during the race if you apply the non-racing method
as described in the Exclusively Colored section where these bikes are listed.
Winning or failing the race in any manner would result in the bikes either
reverting back to normal ones or disappearing.
*****************************************************************************
13.13: BULLETPROOF/FIREPROOF SENTINEL
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : A Walk in the Park
Character : Salvatore Leone
Source : Bob Krussow/Lancet Jades
Another occasion where this black Sentinel would appear, but this time around
it would be bulletproof & fireproof on a limited degree.
Your target in this mission, the mayor of Staunton Island would arrive in the
park for a jog in a Dark Gray Sentinel together with a couple of bodyguards in
Dark Gray Sentinels too. All three Sentinels though are limitedly bulletproof
& fireproof. You shouldn't worry though if you're keen on obtaining even just
a fireproof version of this car since you can legitimately obtain one in the
next mission after this one.
Lancet Jades discovered one interesting feature of the three Sentinels you can
find in this mission: their ability to bowl any vehicles out of the way. They
can cleave right through vehicles effortlessly knocking them away, just like
how computer-controlled cars are programmed in some missions to ensure a
smooth route for them. If you'd be interested in acquiring this, then just
pass the mission and store it in your garage.
*****************************************************************************
13.14: BULLETPROOF/FIREPROOF HEARSE
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : Morgue Party Candidate
Character : Donald Love
Source : GTA_Loco
It's quite unclear why Donald Love would take such an interest in a dead
person as his "guest" for a party he's supposed to be hosting. It could be
something political or it could simply be just one of his morbid fancies.
The dead person appeared to be Mayor R.C. Hole whom you've assassinated in
your second mission for Salvatore in Staunton Island. But whatever is Donald's
reason, he would ask you to steal this dead person who would be transported in
a Hearse to the pathology labs of Staunton precinct.
The Hearse is just a normal vehicle all along the stages in the mission until
you park it inside Donald Love's garage where it would be transformed into a
Bulletproof/Fireproof one. The problem is, once it becomes proofed, it would
be stuck also on the spot. This would only happen if you drove it or pushed it
using another vehicle; once you reach the spot on the garage where you get the
message to leave the car and step out of the garage, as soon as you get off,
it would be stuck already with no amount of pushing would you be able to move
it. It would be unlocked but you still won't be able to drive it out of the
garage. Blowing it up won't move it either even though you won't fail the
mission. Pushing it bodily into the garage won't get it stuck but the car
won't be proofed. Pushing it out bodily also when you're told to leave the car
inside the garage would always ask you to get in the car and drive it to the
garage. At any of the stage the Hearse won't still won't be proofed.
If you try to jam the garage door with several coaches, it would just push
them out or slice through them that would still complete the mission with the
Hearse irretrievable inside. Bottom line is, the Hearse would be BP/EP only
inside the garage so anything else you do including ditching it into the water
anytime before you park it there, you wouldn't be able to obtain it
Bulletproof/Fireproof.
*****************************************************************************
13.15: COMPREHENSIVEPROOF PONY
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : Night of the Living Dreads
Character : Ray Machowski
Source : GTA_Loco/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
This could have been a worthy prize if only it is obtainable. One of the vans
a group of Sindaccos would be using to block the exit point in the alley where
you have to save a group of Yardies is a Comprehensiveproof one. After the
first cut scene, kill all the attacking Sindaccos and go straight into that
small way where you will find a Pony blocking the exit to the road. This van
is CP but stuck on the ground. Nothing it seems would move it from its place.
Using Destroy All Cars Cheat won't unstuck it neither would that be advisable
assuming it'd work given that it'd be destroyed and would be eaten in the
garage if you try to restore it. Failing the mission by killing one of the
Yardies would turn this again into a normal van without any proofing and can
be driven already. You can only obtain any of the Ponys here for their special
Black color.
*****************************************************************************
13.16: FIREPROOF BARRACKS OL
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : Munitions Dump
Character : Ray Machowski/Leone MacAffrey
Source : HuGooGuh & MasterOfWeapons
Leone is worried about the Forellis tooling up for trouble and who have been
running arms in Liberty City making some good money in the process. He wants
you to take care of this problem for him by intercepting a couple of Barracks
OL that carry the supplies before they can reach their destination at Fort
Staunton. These Barracks OL are fireproof but won't be anymore once they park
in their destination if you've followed or waited for them there. It's kind of
difficult to steal this along the way even if you kill the armed gangster
aboard the trucks since the doors would be locked and the vehicle is fireproof
so you can't smoke out the driver, though strangely you can kill those armed
guards with flames. There wouldn't be sufficient time too to drive this into
the water when you get timed to destroy this after you jack it from where they
would park. Once you fail the mission, these trucks would revert back to
normal ones.
*****************************************************************************
13.17: FIREPROOF MAVERICK
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : Passion of the Heist
Character : Fr. Ned
Source : Lancet Jades/HuGooGuh/MasterOfWeapons
Another would've been nice flyable aircraft if there were only a way to steal
it from the enemy without destroying it. As Father Ned asks you to steal a
briefcase of diamonds from a dealer, you would be confronted by several
gangsters some of whom would be hitching in a Maverick that you'd have to
destroy as part of your mission. Lancet Jades said that if you rush to the
chopper quickly enough, you'd be able to reach it before it goes airborne but
you'd realize to your dismay that the chopper would be locked. Once it goes
airborne it'd be difficult already to steal it since it flies higher than you
could possibly perch yourself high enough. You can confirm that it is
fireproof by locking into it when it descends within aiming range of a
flamethrower but try torching it and you won't be able to set it ablaze which
won't force the pilot out of the chopper also. Sniping the pilot won't kill
him even though the chopper isn't bulletproof at all. It would just eventually
destroy the chopper and rendered useless.
*****************************************************************************
13.18: BULLETPROOF/EXPLOSIONPROOF KAZUKI'S MAVERICK
*****************************************************************************
Location : Staunton Island
Mission : Cash in Kazuki's Chips
Character : Toshiko Kasen
Source : Lancet Jades
As the finale to Toshiko's missions for you, you now at this point have to
kill her husband Kazuki face-to-face after he found out that you and Toshiko
were responsible for his business losses. Killing Kazuki is the only choice
now because it's between Kazuki's life or yours and Toshiko's that's at stake
already at this point.
Lancet Jade discovered a potentially obtainable proofed aircraft in this
mission though as of its inclusion in the guide, none of the methods he tried
so far has succeeded yet.
Before the confrontation on the casino rooftop, Kazuki would be onboard a
Maverick that's BP/EP which you can approach if you bypass the yellow marker
going to the helipad by jumping on the stair railings. The chopper would be
locked though and if you attack it in any manner close by, it would fly away
for spooking it that would fail the mission consequently. However, if you
position yourself from a good distance, you would be able to shoot it with a
minigun or try to snipe Kazuki with a sniper file without failing the mission,
although this still won't do any effect on Kazuki since he's on a bulletproof
chopper. But shooting it with a sniper rifle on any other part of the aircraft
would spook him also. You can force him out with a flamethrower but this would
cut immediately to the cut scene and would also lead to mission failure. It
can take a shot from an RPG thus the theory it is explosionproof too though
this would result in the same failure.
There was also one interesting thing Lancet Jades discovered about this
chopper as one might wonder how you can possibly bring it down to the ground
considering that it's locked and on the rooftop; if you first head over to
Portland Island or Shoreside Vale after it flies to the Casino from Belleville
apartment, for some reasons you would be able to find this landed on the road
just in front of the casino once come back for it. It can be pushed though you
need to do a two-vehicle push so as not to spook him if you make direct
contact with it with the vehicle you are in. One other catch here is it can
get spooked also if you try to ride in any vehicle that came into contact with
it. It might be possible to push it painstakingly to the water or perhaps
allow a thieving ped to jack it so you can be able to get into the chopper.
*****************************************************************************
13.19: BULLETPROOF/FIREPROOF RACING MOTORBIKES AND CARS
*****************************************************************************
Interestingly, all the motorbikes and cars in the different hidden races in
the three islands are Bulletproof/ Fireproof if you steal them without doing
the race once they get back to the start line. These properties though are
unobtainable since once you ditch the car or bike to fail the race, they would
revert back to normal ones. Failing the races in any other way or winning them
would always result in the bikes and cars vanishing after the fade out or
returning back to normal if you happen to have used one of them.
