Few companies have as many classic games in their library as Sega does, and now Planet Moon Studios is helping the Japanese game maker to revive one of its classic brands on the PSP. Planet Moon Studios is the same company behind Giants: Citizen Kabuto and Armed & Dangerous.

So which classic Sega franchise is getting a 21st-century facelift? Is it Streets of Rage? Is it ToeJam & Earl? Is it Space Harrier? We don't know. Sega is keeping a lid on which signature series the new game will revitalize.

This isn't the first deal of its kind that Sega has announced. The publisher has also made a similar deal with Totally Games to bring back an as-yet unnamed vintage Sega brand. One classic Sega franchise that we do know is making a return is Golden Axe. Secret Level is developing it and it's due out in 2007.
