September 1, 2006 - Lassie, everyone's favorite canine heroine, returns to big screen this weekend in a new movie from Samuel Goldwyn Films and filmmaker Charles Sturridge. The new Lassie is kind of an old-school British take that hearkens back to the original story -- predating the classic, cheesy TV series. The movie introduces Jonathan Mason as Joe and stars Peter O'Toole, Samantha Morton, Peter Dinklage and... well, Lassie.
