It was a PC port it came out for PC frist my Friend then it came out for the xbox360 after. And i have played them both. It really doesn't matter it plays and look the same on both witch i think is awsome. I would know i have played them both.

You mean blow them OUT of the water. I personally like the thumbstick handicap. It makes it more realistic. If the mouse was considered more realistic we wouldn't anybody dying in fellujah.

It's just my personal opinion but the thumbstick gives it a small handicap and all the buttons are right there. Gamepads just feel right. Mouse and keyboard set up is so awkward. With a gamepad you might have a 30 minute learning curve but it'll take you hours if not days to get decent on a keyboard and mouse set up.

Anyone who says a thumbstick is better than a amouse needs to go to a rehab facility immeadiatly. I mouse player would murder a thumbstick player with less effort.

Mouse blows the thumbstick in the water.

I predict a PC launch first and then a PS3 and Xbox 360 launch together.. After all, they can save money on marketing by doing so.. Though having said that, they'll want to push for a Xmas 2006 launch for 360 but can't see if they could do that for the PS3 because of it's later release. Time will tell. Either way, good for both consoles and a good game, though I didn't buy the last one, I prefer strictly gun action..

I love when people tell others to stop being ms or xbox fanboys when we're at a XBOX site. Thats just great!

call of duty 2 is been not ported. it was made for xbox360 THEN on the pc u saw call of duty 2 on the 360 running at 60 fps, on the pc it runs at locked 30 with all the features turned off or depends what celeron u have like pentium xtreme that runs just fine with it on the 360 has better smoke effects than the pc.

Epic may not be able to confirm the 360 version due to an agreement with sony. This kind of marketing crap happens all the time. It is another way of manipulating the consumer into false assumptions, thereby "forcing" the consumers hand into purchasing another piece of equiment that they might not have otherwise purchased.

Is this official confirmation or an opinion from a forumn?

I'll believe the words when i hear them officially.

And teamxbox stating it will be on xbox360? Isn't that your opinion rather than facts? Why would epic not confirm it on xbox360 if it will come out for xbox360 anyway in that case? why all the hidding!

the FPS games i have played on the PC with out pad are

Far Cry
Half Life 1 and 2
Doom 3

they are the last ones i remember on the PC

i only really play Halo on the XBOX and love halo i have halo partys all the time.

I do find RPGs need a keybored but i like to use pad to move around.

I find city of heroes hard to play with out a pad and PSOBB

I know i should quit playing that so out of date game but i have friends on it.

"UT2007 to Launch on PC First, Not a PS3 Launch Title"

well I guess we can all rest easy now....

you will not get precision as you would with the kb/m. would your opinion change if halo did not have autoaim...?

"fps is meant to be played with kb/m"

I find the XBOX pad perfect for Halo.

I played many FPS games on the PC but i never once felt the mouse and keyboard was built for FPS games.

You have the WASD buttons that will move you, i can use them but they are just 4 buttons no analog and then you have all the other buttons spread out all over the place.

Now the XBOX pad works on the PC i will use all 3 but use the pad to do most of the game with.

Keyboards are made for typing on or playing specy games

btw, i expect ut2k7 to run optimally on the pc. a fps is meant to be played with kb/m, therefore its safe to assume the developers will be designing the game around the pc (and the ps3 and xbox360? version(s) will merely be ports). though you might need the next gen video card to run to game, im sure it will run a lot better on the pc than console...

shortfuse: sorry if i pinned you as a sony fanboy, but this place is riddled with 'em. i admit, i do favor ms' gaming consoles, but i dont go to ps2 fansites and create a commotion (unlike some sony d!ckriders here). so you see why comments like the one you made earlier might irritate a few ppl here.

and i agree that you must give credit where its due. i had a blast playing gow and sotc on my brother's ps2, but i simply PREFER playing games on my xbox. so i guess you can say im a bit biased towards the xbox brand...

This game will look the same on PC,XBOX360 and PS3. I don't care what any of you say. It's going to be a port from pc to both consoles. Just look at what activison did with call of duty 2 it's the same as the PC version. Reguardless it looks great and going to be a lot of fun to play on any of the 3 machines.

Was it EGM who gave Kameo 2/5? they are crazy
Jan. 3rd, 2006 10:46 am

How was this Xbox news? If TXB starts posting this console-war bull****, they're no better than EGM or Joysiq.

Wow, this news must suck for PS3 fans but im pretty sure whenever it launches it will find it's way to all the consoles!

Its hard to say that any game will run better on a console as opposed to the PC when the PC hardware continuously changes. UT2007 will mostly likely be built for high-end PCs. Which would be high-end PCs at the time of release. In any case, certain features for the PC game can be disabled or enabled depending on the PC performance.

I am a PC geek i do buy Video cards at that price but one thing i do know very few games ever use the power of the X800 and it will be another 2 years before the X1800.

If a XBOX cost to make is $400 and sold for $300
OK now if a PC cost $400 to build it would be sold for $1000+

Now every gamer should know a 3.2Ghz CPU works alot faster in a game system than in a PC.

You dont need half the Ram in a game system

So that $300 system will work alot better than that $1000+ system

I like my PCs but very few games are built for top spec PCs

we will see over a 100 games built for the XBOX 360 before we see 1 game built for the ATI X1800

I agree that if they want to compete they should come out with a Live copy. However sony has stated a while back that they will contine their on-line as is. Meaing that the developers would need to providce the service.

Not the greatest idea in my opinion, but due to their current cash position they may be unwilling to go the extra mile until they determine the on-line userbase size for the ps3.

I have always seen sonys vision for the playstation series as an overall single player experience, whereas the Xbox vision has been on-line and community based.

The future will tell.

ALSO FOR YOU NERD-OS AGAIN:

Its time for you to buy a $800 3d card and more ram!. lol update ur drivers ect ect.
and tweaking the game till it runs perfect.
that gonna sucks to be you.

Later on the next gen consoles no need to buy a $800 3d card nor ram nor driver updates nor tweakin ur effects to run perfect.

(scoffs) you nerd-os read what the article says

I will admit that my future online plans are pretty much cemented in xbox live. However it would be suicide for Sony not to come out with something community like as with xbox live. I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that Sony will for sure come out with something compatible to xbox live, but I dont think they will be able to compete right away. Sony is damn capable of this. If they dont then it is serious mistake in the next gen. Bottom line is we will know nothing until they decide to make it official. The more competition the better for the gamers.

Please read the quote in kyu112's second comment, that the game is going to be on the 360. Sony was able to broker a deal with Epic to have this game listed for the ps3 before the 360.

My previous point is that, we are on an Xbox site. I dont mind information about the upcoming ps3 but rampant speculation is not needed, aside from the fact that sony is not going to have an integrated on-line component, and to me better means full application fo the available functions. You can bet that the PC version and the 360 version will be on-line enabled. The only way at this point for the ps3 version to be on-line is if Epic hosts the service.

Enough ranting, your opinion is overall respected.

Thank you shortfuse, I am a huge fan of both Microsoft and Sony and just laugh at people's ignorance to put another one down. They both bring their own good qualities, so people should just shut up and play the one they enjoy.

Listen before you start to pick me apart let me say something. I stood in line 9 hours to get a 360 and I will stand in line the same for a PS3. I am not a fan boy, you are! Unless you have 2 to 3,000 dollars to spend on a pc, it is not going to run as good as it is on PS3. Hell if it was coming on 360 I would say the same thing. Stop being biased and give credit where it is due.

"As we have mentioned previously, it appears that Unreal Tournament 2007 will also be released on the Xbox 360, although it has only been officially announced for the PC and PS3 at this time."

So the PC gets it first? Great, they can just make it better on PS3.
