4400 Writer Travels In Time

scifi.com has reported that Touchstone Television has signed a two-script deal with The 4400 co-creator Scott Peters, starting with a time-travel-themed drama tentatively titled Revision for Fox, Variety reported.

Peters and Touchstone-based producer Warren Littlefield are collaborating on the pilot, about a man who finds himself returning to the past in order to prevent disaster in the future. Peters is writing the pilot script and will executive-produce with Littlefield.

Witchblade Resharpened For Film

scifi.com has reported that Platinum Studios, IDG Films and Relativity Media are financing and producing two back-to-back features based on the comic-book series Witchblade, Variety reported. Shooting is set to begin late next year in China; no writer or director is yet attached, the trade paper reported.

The comics follow the story of a female detective who comes into possession of a mystical and powerful weapon that she uses to battle crime and evil. The comic was previously adapted as a TNT TV show, which was the most successful original series in the network's history during its brief run.

SCI FI To Air Night Stalker

scifi.com has reported that SCI FI Channel will air repeats of ABC's canceled supernatural drama Night Stalker�including three never-before-seen episodes�starting next summer, the network announced. SCI FI acquired all 10 produced episodes of the Touchstone Television series, which starred Stuart Townsend as journalist Carl Kolchak.

The show centers on Kolchak, a crime reporter whose wife was mysteriously killed 19 months earlier. Now, in the eyes of the FBI, Kolchack is the primary suspect. His determination to discover the truth behind his wife's murder leads him to investigate other crimes that seem to have some kind of supernatural component.

Atlantis Rises to Gemini Award Victory

The team behind Stargate Atlantis's visual effects has been awarded with one of Canada's highest honors.


Michelle Comens, John Gajdecki, Bruce Woloshyn, Jinnie Pak, Tom Brydon, Jos� Burgos, Dan Mayer, and Wes Sargent received the Gemini Award for Best Visual Effects for their work on the spin-off series pilot episode, "Rising." The twentieth annual awards were presented last month by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, recognizing the best in film and television production in Canada.

'The Triangle' Sets SCI FI Record

scifi.com is reporting that the SCI FI Channel announced that its original miniseries The Triangle scored an average household rating of 3.6 over its three-night, six-hour run, Dec. 5-7, making it the highest-rated miniseries on SCI FI since the Emmy Award-winning Steven Spielberg Presents Taken in 2002. The miniseries�from executive producers Bryan Singer, Dean Devlin and Rockne O'Bannon�averaged 4.2 million viewers per night.

'Hellboy' Over 'Halo'?

rottentomatoes.com is reporting that Del Toro has indeed been in talks to direct the 'Halo' movie, but 'Hellboy' will win if everything is ready to go.

�Well, Halo is very much an interesting project because it�s so full of monsters,� he said. �It�s a big temptation. I�m in talks with them [Universal and Bungie Films] and (producer) Peter (Jackson), but it�s not true that it�s on and Hellboy�s off. Hellboy�s on. If everything goes as planned, Hellboy will go.�
