Dissecting the Revolution Controller
Check out all of our coverage of Nintendo's new pad.
- Console launches always mean at least one thing for our cozy little Internet community… rampant rumors and speculation. While we use the information out there to make educated (and sometimes tongue-in-cheek) guesses, there's no substitute for cold, hard facts.

In the case of the new generation, we got a lovin' spoonful of reality from Nintendo regarding their mysterious Revolution (placeholder name only) at this year's Tokyo Game Show.

We had compiled a list of what we thought the controller might look like, then asked you to add your suggestions. Here's what we collectively came up with:

As TGS 2005 proved, we were all pretty off the mark. Nintendo instead released a controller/magic wand that relies on a range of spatial movement to perform its functions.
