                       xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hey, everybody! I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Johnathan Sawyer,
but feel free to call me "rhyxx" (pronounced 'ricks'). Welcome to my
Special Stages strategy guide I have created for my absolute favorite PS1
(and Saturn) game, Grandia.

For this guide, it is just a fragment of my complete strategy guide, and
it focuses on the three Special Stages in the game, which are completely
optional. For help on any other part of the game, consult my complete
strategy guide.

I also decided to add in the Moves and Magic section, because you may need
to consult it for certain requirements. Hard to get through the really
tough dungeons without having the good moves, huh?

There are plenty of other FAQs at GameFAQs that contain other lists and
such. Check them out, since those people have also worked hard and done
wonderful jobs. I'm pretty sure that I have found everything in the
game, but if I haven't, feel free to email me at rhyxx_7@yahoo.com to let
me know. I've been working on this guide for a couple years, so a lot of
work has been put into this, and I want it to be as complete as possible.

The final deadline for sending me info or asking me questions will be
January 1, 2006. This will also be the date of the posting of the FINAL
version. It will not be edited or touched after that date.

                        xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

You are allowed to use this guide for your own personal use; you can print
the entire guide, or just part of it if it suits your fancy; you can save
save it on your computer too. Just DO NOT copy it and use it as your own
work; DO NOT sell it, because even I'm not allowed to sell it; DO NOT post
it on your web site unless you obtain permission from me, OR you can have
a link that goes to the PAGE at one of the websites listed below, not the
actual file. If you would like to create your own guide, feel free to use
my format/layout. Just DO NOT rip this off in any way, okay? A lot of hard
work went into this guide.

As of October 11, 2005, these are the only websites that are allowed to

Version 1.0
:::::::::::

Here's the first update!
% The Strategy Guide was created and finished, since it was taken
  straight from my complete guide.
% The Title Logo was created and finished.
% The Introduction section was created and finished.
% The Table of Contents section started.
% The Disclaimer section created and finished.
% The Version History section was started.

Version 1.1
:::::::::::

% A couple of mistakes were corrected.
% A couple of directions in the Tower of Temptation were edited. Sorry to
those who were lost because of it!
% Decided to add in the Moves & Magic section to help out.

Version 1.11
::::::::::::

% Some websites won't post plain .TXT FAQs if some characters are in
there. It's obvious that I used the 'less than' and 'greater than'
characters frequently, so this update got rid of all of them, replacing
them with '[' and ']', unless they were part of ASCII art, then they
were replaced with '{' and '}'.
% New Title Logo. MUCH BETTER than the old one, huh? Thanks to the
  RootSecure.net ASCII Generator.
% Some editing.
% http://FAQs.IGN.com allowed me to post this guide.

When you enter the Desert from Zil Padon, press R2 once so the arrow is
spinning towards the Castle of Dreams. Then head north and west all the
way, then north from there until you hit a wall, then go west into the
Castle of Dreams.

[Save Points] Dreams Castle, Dreams Grt Hall, Dreams Study
[Gold] 240G, 240G, 240G, 240G, 240G, 240G, 240G, 240G, 240G, 240G, 240G
       (2640G)
[Items] Mana Egg
[Equipment] Dark Armor, Gauntlets, Death Mask, Bloody Knife, Binding Whip,
            Lightning Sword
[Enemies] Zombie-------(600 HP) Once you enter, you'll be told that
Salamadile---(312 HP) this is a Special stage, which doesn't
Pink Mage----(100 HP) affect the story in any way. Use the
Pteranobone--(555 HP) Save Point here if you want, then go
Giant Moth---(235 HP) west and talk to the girl. She'll tell
*BOSS*-|-Lord's Ghost-(4500 HP) you that darkness surrounds this place,
        |-Wand---------(3000 HP) and that her sister got a hold of a
cursed sword and killed their father.
She wants you to break the curse of the sword. Go across the bridge and
into the Great Hall.

Grab the [_240G_], then use the Save Point if you want. From the Save
Point, go south and into the Cemetery. Go east and north to get another
[_240G_], then go back to the stairs and go south and along the wall to
some [_DARK ARMOR_]. Go northwest along the wall some more, watching out
for the Salamadiles here. They are really hard; use Wind magic against
them in battle to take care of them. When you get on the stone floor
before the gate, go northeast and get another [_240G_] while watching out
for spikes coming out of the walls.

Go back and through the gate now, then go west and southwest to the wall
to some more spikes. Go on the other side of the graves and go northeast
onto a stone structure. Then go east and open the chest to find some
[_GAUNTLETS_]. I used these on Milda, since I told you we'd get something
for her. After that, make your way back to the Great Hall's Save Point.
Use it if you want, then go west into the Knight's Room. Grab the [_240G_]
on the left side, then watch out for the monsters that will attack you;
they are tough, and there are a lot of them in here. Go in the door on
the upper-right to the Library when you get a chance. In here, just get
the [_DEATH MASK_] out of the chest. (I put it on Rapp). Then go back to
the Great Hall.

Use the Save Point, then head up the stairs to your northwest. Up here,
go south and grab the [_BLOODY KNIFE_], then go in this door to the Dining
Hall. (Don't forget to equip that Knife.) Look around; there's a broken
door that's leaning up against the upper-left wall. If you check behind
the door, you'll find a precious [_MANA EGG_]. Let's finish the Castle
before we head back and use, okay? If you go to the topmost part of the
room, you can go out the hole in the wall to go on the Rooftop, but
there's nothing you can do out there. If you look on the right side of
the room, you'll see another door, and a table against the wall. Look
under that to find another [_240G_], then go back left and go right
between the cracks and pick up another [_240G_], then exit out of that
door.

Go north from it to find [_240G_], then go north into the small room. Get
the [_240G_] and the other [_240G_] out of there, then go back out into
the Hall and go west in the Study. Get the [_240G_] as you walk in behind
the bookcase, then go up the little stairs to the Save Point. Go left to
get the other [_240G_], then go right of the Save Point to find a
[_BINDING WHIP_] by the bookshelf. Now, USE the Save Point, because we got
a tough boss coming up, then open up the cabinet on the upper left. Go
through it to get to the Rooftop.

Go across the giant vine into the Lord's Chamber. Go down the rope and
talk to the girl here. She warns you about the sword, and she wants you
to leave. Justin says they're here to break the curse, and you'll have
to fight the Lord's Ghost.
  ________
  |*BOSS*| The head and body share the same HP, but the
********************** Wand doesn't. This is a hard battle, so give
[ Lord's Ghost-(4500 HP) ] it everything you've got. Use the Dragon Cut
[ Wand---------(3000 HP) ] or Heaven and Earth Cut with Justin (if you
********************** have it), have Feena use her Fire Whip, Rapp
use his Fireball or other strong spells like
[EXP] 9900 BA-BOOM!, and have Milda use her Milda Hit on the body.
[Gold] 18000 After that, use your best spells, and have Milda use the
[Items] N/A Wrecking Ax if she still has it, just to stun all parts of
the body, followed by regular attacks. Beware of the Zap!
attack the body uses, and the X-Ray attack the head uses, because both
will hit your party HARD for about 50-70+ damage. Just pray that he
doesn't use GadZap, which will hit someone for well over 150. Hopefully,
you'll be able to take him out before any of your party members die, as
long as you have Feena keep everyone healed. Congratulate yourself on the
victory, and enjoy the bunch of EXP you just got, hehe.

After the battle, the curse of the sword will be broken, and she'll give
you the [_LIGHTNING SWORD_]. Climb back up the rope, head outside, back to
the Study, back to the Great Hall, and out of this treacherous Castle.
Then head back to the Zil Desert. Make your way south for a while, east
for a while, then back south to leave the Zil Desert.

Head back to Cafu, and go to the Weapons Store. Buy a magic for Rapp (I
bought him Wind), then sell stuff you don't need, then go to the Inn and
get the corresponding item from Sue's magic for Rapp's magic. Then leave
Cafu and head back to the Zil Desert.

Now you're in the North Zil Desert. You might want to level up your magic
for Rapp while you're hear before we head to the Soldier's Graveyard,
because every little bit helps. From the Save Point, go west all the way
to the wall, then go south along the western wall until you reach the
Soldier's Graveyard. Make sure you have around 16+ spaces available in
your inventory, then go in when you're ready.

[My Level] Justin [32], Feena [32], Rapp [27], Milda [36]
[Save Points] Graveyard (B1)
[Gold] 230G, 690G, 230G, 230G, 690G, 230G, 230G, 230G (2760G)
[Items] Sonic Walnut, Expensive Jewel, All-Around Seed, All-Around Fruit
[Equipment] Heavy Shield, Fireproof Cape, Diana's Amulet, Ice Blade,
Medal of Yore, Godspeed Knife, Energy Charm
[Key Items] Soldier's Key, Soldier's Soul x4 As you enter,
[Enemies] Sand Man--------(268 HP) you'll be told that this is
Will-O'-Wisp----(145 HP) a Special Scenario, and it is not
Cerberus--------(244 HP) part of the story, as we've heard
Wolfman---------(256 HP) before. Use the Save Point here,
Spacetime Armor-(321 HP) which is the ONLY Save Point in this
Iron Giant------(700 HP) entire dungeon, not to mention it is
*BOSS*---Kung Fu Master--(4776 HP) big, and somewhat difficult.
Conserve your SP and MP in here, and
if you're damaged, use items and HEAL ONLY! You have plenty of level 1 MP,
and you'll need the others for battle, okay? Finally, the compass doesn't
work in here, but it's not really a problem if I'm helping you out, eh?

From the Save Point, go west a little, then south to a fork. Go south some
more to find [_230G_], then go back to the fork and head west and
southwest. Follow the path for a while, and you'll come to a springboard.
Use it to jump to the other side where you'll find a [_HEAVY SHIELD_].
Then jump back over and head back to the Save Point. Be careful not to
fall down on the way back.

Once there, head west and down this path to a fork with a DungeonScope
Icon. Take the southern path, and follow it for a while until you reach
[_690G_]. Then go back and head north to another fork. Go northeast to
find a [_SONIC WALNUT_] at the dead-end. Go back and go northwest and west
to another fork. Go southwest and west to an open area/fork. Go northwest
and north to [_230G_], then go back and head south and southeast. The
entrance to B2 is on the eastern wall to the north there, so head down.

From there, head east-southeast and down to a fork. Go northeast, then
southeast to another [_230G_], then go back to the entrance to this floor.
Go north, northwest, and southwest, then follow the path to a fork. Go
west and follow the twisting path all the way to a fork. Go southwest to
[_690G_], and a few ambushing Will-O'-Wisps. After that, head back to the
last fork, and then go to the one before that.

At this fork, go north to a springboard where you can use it to jump down.
Go east and follow the path to ANOTHER fork. Go southeast, follow the path
for a while, but don't fall off the ledge to the northwest. Keep going to
another fork, then go east-southeast and east to [_230G_]. Go back and
head west until you come to a different-looking area. Get the
[_FIREPROOF CAPE_] to the north.

It looks as like this is the end here, but continue north and examine the
wall; it will lower, allowing you to continue down to B3. There's going to
be a lot of secrets here, so pay attention.

Down here, go northeast to a four-way fork. Go northeast some more to a
room. DON'T FALL, because you'll fall down to B4. Just look out for the
cut-out squares on the ground, and stay away from the edge. Get the
[_230G_] from the southeastern corner here, then go back to the fork. Go
northwest to a springboard; jump over, but remember that you can't go
back. Get the [_EXPENSIVE JEWEL_] on the west side, then jump down to B4
West.

From where you land, go northwest and get another [_230G_], then note the
door to the north. We'll need a key to get through it, though, so take the
eastern path to another room. Check the southwestern wall here to make it
disappear, then go southwest and get the [_SOLDIER'S KEY_], the Key to the
big door from before. First, go southwest into another room, where you
need to go west and down the stairs to B5.

Go to the eastern wall, and go through it to another room with
[_DIANA'S AMULET_] in it. Go back to the room and head north through this
wall; grab the [_ALL-AROUND SEED_] to the west, then go back to the room.
If you wanted to keep going, you'll just see the chest that we need to get
to when everything is said and done.

Back at the room, go through the southwest wall, and drop down. Follow the
path around to the east, where you'll come to a small room with an
[_ICE BLADE_]. Go northwest up the ramp back to the room, then go west
back to B4 West. In this room, go north all the way to the big door we saw
earlier. Go through it to B4 East.

Go north, and the screen will shift, letting you know that a boss is
coming. Go forward, and you'll meet him.
  ________
  |*BOSS*| Hey, it's Chang! Not really, since he's a
************************ lot harder, but he does use the same moves.
[ Kung Fu Master-(4776 HP) ] He goes really fast, and hits hard, so use
************************ your best single attacks like Thor Cut,
Zap! Whip, Demonball, and Milda Hit. I
[EXP] 9800 wouldn't say that he's harder than the Lord's
[Gold] 0G Ghost, just because he's only one threat,
[Items] Satisfaction Gem while the other was three. After you use your
SP up, just keep hitting him with Critical
attacks to knock his IP back, and have Feena on healing duty. KEEP YOUR HP
UP! His HP seems to heal as the battle goes on, so keep hitting him so he
won't have a much time to heal. His Tornado Punch hits for around 70
damage on one, while his Spin Kick does about 60 damage in a range. Just
keep your HP up, and hopefully you'll survive.

*[.NOTE.]* The Satisfaction Gem you just got is like the Chain of Gems,
except for the fact that it gives you an extra CRITICAL attack! I
recommend putting this on Feena when she has a Whip equipped, just because
she's weaker than the others, and that she has the fastest Critical
attack.

After the battle, go to the west side of this large room, and the wall
here will disappear. Continue west to another room, where you'll have to
search the northeastern wall to reveal another passage. Go northeast up
the ramp, then northwest down into another room. Get the
[_SOLDIER'S SOUL_] out of the chest here, then head all the way back to
the large room.

Now go to the eastern side of the room and through the wall to another
room, go to the southeastern wall, and make your way through that path to
another [_SOLDIER'S SOUL_]. Then go back to the large room, and head north
past where the Kung Fu Master was, but don't fall in to the ramp, or
you'll have to backtrack.

Go around the pit to the north side, then go all the way north to a
[_MEDAL OF YORE_]. In this big room, go to the eastern wall in the middle,
and the wall will disappear. Go east to a [_ALL-AROUND FRUIT_], then check
the northwestern wall. It will disappear, so follow it to the end where a
[_GODSPEED KNIFE_] resides. Go back to the last room and check the
southeastern wall for another path, where you'll find another
[_SOLDIER'S SOUL_]. Then head back to the big room.

Now go to the middle of the western wall and go through it to the last
room with the fourth and final [_SOLDIER'S SOUL_]. By having all four of
these, we can now access the chest we couldn't get to before. Go back east
to the big room, then go back south to where that chest is. Go south down
the ramp and open the chest for the item we came all this way for; the
[_ENERGY CHARM_]. When equipped, it reduces the SP needed for moves by
half. All right!

Now, to get out of here. Slide down the ramp to B5, then go south and west
up the stairs to get to B4 West. Go north to the fork before the door,
then go east, then south up the ramp, then west up the stairs to B3. Go
northwest up to a room, then go southwest to another room, where you can
go up the stairs to B2 to the south.

Go all the way south to get back to the dirt path, then go south and east
along the dirt path to a fork. Go northeast, and drop off the ledge to the
northwest this time. Continue northwest to a fork, where you'll go
northwest some more, then west to B1.

Go west-northwest and follow this path to a fork. Go east and northeast to
another fork, where you'll go east to ANOTHER fork. Go south and follow
along to the DungeonScope Icon, then go east and follow this path back to
the four-way fork where the Save Point is.

Finally, we're out! Use the Save Point, and head out to the Zil Desert.
Then go northeast to get to the entrance to the Zil Desert, so get out of
here.

Now that we're done with the Special Stages, you can go back to Zil Padon
and restock with what you want, and buy what new weapons you want/can
afford. Then use the Stashing Place at the Hotel to Stash all of the Key
Items that you got at the Soldier's Graveyard. When that's all said and
done, continue with the story.

I recommend having everyone's weapons at least at level 40, because it's
not that hard to get them that high, if you're not already there, and
everyone's magic should be at least 30. Justin is really easy to level up,
if you haven't noticed. All of his Moves and Magic are *MAXed. For
leveling up, the best place so far in the game is the Luzet Mountains.

[HINTS] For leveling up Justin and Liete's Wind and Water, cast Freeze!
on large groups of King Horns. For everyone's Earth, just keep casting
Diggin' for a long period of time. For Justin and Feena's Water, keep
casting Alheal (Alhealer for Liete). For Feena and Rapp's Wind, gather the
party together and keep casting Runner. For Feena and Rapp's Fire, use
Fire Whip and Fireball on groups of enemies, and for Justin's Weapon,
Fire, and Earth, use Dragon Cut on groups of enemies. Everything else, you
should just use normally to level up.

*[.NOTE.]* You'll want to have your best equipment on in here, and you
should grab the Holy Mace for Justin, along with stuff you'll need, such as
your good potions. You'll get plenty more before the final boss, so don't
feel bad about using your best ones up. Back to the Holy Mace; how much
attack your weapons have won't mean a thing when you're up against the
Ghosts here; this is the only weapon that will do considerable damage
unless your attack is 999.

For other equipment, I recommend taking the Holy Sword Lorenzo for both
Justin and Rapp (Zil Padon), since they will lower the defense of the
enemy as you attack them. I tried using the Sudden Death weapons like the
Bone Splitter Ax and Shadow Sword, but they hardly ever worked, and you
just lost attack, so stick with Lorenzo. I took the Binding Whip so Feena
could stun the enemies when she attacks them. To make Liete a little more
useful, you may consider putting the Lightning Sword in her inventory so
she could use that in battle, though it's still not as powerful as we'd
like. For accessories, I'm gonna put a Satisfaction Gem on Justin, the
Soul of Asura on Feena, and a Chain of Gems for Liete and Rapp. Everything
else was just the best equip I had at the time, but I did make sure that
all four has one Revival Stone in their inventory, as well as healing
items. Just be careful to not have to use the Revival Stones before the
bosses.

If you were following the Walkthrough, you should've already grabbed the
Zero Weapons from the Tower of Temptation, but if you haven't yet, LEAVE
THEM THERE. We'll need the room for the better items. You'll need 21
spaces in your inventory (16 for treasures found, +5 that the bosses
leave), plus the normal enemies leave some items (most of them just Seeds
you can use immediately), so make the room. You'll reach the Stashing
Place before you collect all the best goodies in the end, though.

You could cut it down to 20 spaces if you visit the Stashing Place before
grabbing the Sonic Belt near the end. You can also figure in the fact that
you'll probably use a few recovery items or something like that to where
you'll be able to cut it down to 17 or something, because you'll have used
them before you got the items, or even lower than that. Just take a look
at the item list below and see if there is anything there you really don't
care for. Just don't take anything extremely valuable with you so you don't
have to discard it.

To get to the tower, enter the Savanna Wilderness right after exiting the
Luzet Mountains. Head directly west, past where the Gondola landed, until
you hit a wall. Follow this wall south and up the ramp, then follow it to
the other side. Once you're on the ground, follow the wall beside the ramp
east, and keep following that wall until you find the hole leading to the
Teleportation Room. (Go southwest until you stop, then go northwest to the
other side). Inside, you can buy some of those good accessories I told you
about before. Check them out.

When you're ready, step onto the Magic Circle and press X to be sent off
to the Tower of Temptation!

Layelah--------(385 HP) this entire place, like the Soldier's

          Ghost----------(465 HP)
Gaia Brain-----(327 HP) Head west from the Save Point, go
Satan----------(589 HP) past the steps, and you should find
Naga Queen-----(642 HP) [_750G_] beside the pillar to your
*BOSS*---Gargoyle-------(5739 HP) south. Keep heading west and
*BOSS*-|-Slug Fish------(3459 HP) southwest, making your way around the
        |-Lure-----------(2869 HP) tower. After the second set of steps
*BOSS*-|-Leviathan------(7869 HP) you pass, look for a
        |-Left Tentacle--(3877 HP) [_DEEP BLUE POTION_] to your
        |-Right Tentacle-(4037 HP) northeast in a corner. Keep heading
southeast and around the tower. After
the third set of steps, look for [_250G_] to your north beside a pillar.
Then keep going northeast and around until you're at the fourth set of
steps. Go up them and go through the blue door.

Head west until you reach a fork, then go south. You should see a pink
cross there. Examine it to make it disappear. If you go back to the fork
and head west, then south, you'll see that the pink cross went into this
rock. This allows the door that leads to the second floor elsewhere to
unlock. Head back and out the blue door. Then make your way north and west
back to the Save Point.

Go west and go up the first set of stairs you see, and enter the red door.
Once inside, head south to a fork, then south some more to [_250G_]. Go
back to the fork, and head east. You should see a yellow door on the
northern wall. Examine it to open it, then go in and collect the [_750G_].
Head back to the door and go back outside. Then make your way west to the
next set of stairs, where you can go in the blue-green door.

Head east to a fork. You can tell that the wall at the fork is darker than
the rest, so examine it to knock it down. Grab the [_250G_] in the room,
then go back to the fork and head north. There should be two more spots in
the wall that you can knock down; the first one you come across just has
some Dragon Knights in it, while the second one has a chest containing a
[_MYSTIC MASK_].

Go back to the fork and head south. The first one has a large blue stone
with some ancient writing on it (you can't examine it), and the second
room has an [_ORB OF SILENCE_] in it. That's all for the first floor, so
head back outside, then head south and around to the next set of steps.
Then enter the gray door. Head a few steps north and examine the door.
If you put the pink cross in the stone like I said before, the door will
disassemble and lower, so you can go through.

Head up the stairs to the second floor. Then go south and through another
gray door to make your way out to Rampart 2. Make your way up and to the
third floor. Go to the fork ahead, and take the southern path to an
elevator (we'll worry about the western elevator later). Take it down to
the second floor, then follow the path down here to a small room with
[_250G_] by the west wall.

Keep following the path north to another elevator that will take you up to
the third floor. Once there, keep following the path to another fork. Grab
the [_250G_] to the west, then head east and down the elevator here. Pick
up the [_750G_] in this small room, then head back up and to the fork. Go
south and take that elevator down. Get off the elevator and follow the
path to another elevator taking you back up to the third floor.

Follow the path some more and you'll be at another fork. Grab the [_250G_]
to the east and south, then go back to the fork and head west and down the
elevator here. Follow the path and you should come across another [_250G_]
off to the north. Continue east and head up the next elevator. Up here,
follow the path to a dead-end, with the lovely [_STAFF OF LIFE_].

Now, make your way back to the fork, and head south and down this
elevator. Follow this path to the next elevator, and up you go. Go east to
a fork, then go south and west to another elevator down to the second
floor. Get off that one and on to the next one. Go east, then north to
find a chest with the great [_EARTHEN AX_].

Head back to the last fork by going down an elevator, up one, then east
and north back to it. Head east now, and follow the path to another
elevator going down. Follow the path some more, and you'll come to a
dead-end with a [_HURRICANE BELT_]. Now it's time to head back to the
elevator I told you we'd come back to. Here we go... it's gonna be even
more repetitive.

Follow the path back to the elevator and go up. Go east and follow the
path to the fork where you'll continue west to another elevator going
down. Go west and north and follow the path to the 'up' elevator. Go north
and north at the fork to get to the 'down' elevator. Go east and follow
the path to the 'up' elevator. Go north and north at the fork to the
'down' elevator. Go north and east and follow the path to the 'up'
elevator. Then head north, west, and north to the fork we want to be at.
NOW, take the western elevator down.

Head north and follow the path until you reach another 'up' elevator, then
examine the door and it will disassemble and lower like the other one.
head north and go out to Rampart 1. Out here, just follow the path until
you reach the door to the fourth floor.

Ignore the statue for now, and head east. Follow the path to a dead-end
as the path behind you blocks itself off. Lower the lever, then go north
and follow the path to another lever on the western wall. Lower this one,
as well as the next one on the western wall, then continue on back into
the hallway you were first at.

Head west to a part of the path that is still blocked off, and examine
both doors on either side of the hall to lower them. Grab the [_250G_] to
the north, but when you do, the wall blocks you off. Examine the eastern
wall and follow this path to a fork; head south to get back to the
hallway. Go west to the blocked path and head south now.

In here, examine the stone head twice to lower a wall to the south; go
through it to find a [_SEED OF MOVES_]. Examine the eastern wall to get
back to the statue. Examine it until it's facing the east wall to lower
it too. Head east and lower that lever to get rid of that block in the
hallway. Then go back to the hallway.

Head west to the dead-end, and examine the two doors to open them. Go
through the north door, and lower the lever here, then turn around and
head south through the other door. Follow the path to the statue in the
center of the room; approach the eastern side of the room where it will
spin to open up the eastern wall. Follow the path there to end up at a
dead-end with [_250G_], and a button on the ground. Press it, then head
north, then west and north back to the hallway.

Go west all the way back to the room with the first statue. Approach its
northern side for it to turn and throw its sword at that wall to lower it.
Make your way north, then east to a wall; examine the northern wall to
make it fall, then make your way around and follow the path to the area
that has [_750G_] in the middle. Head north from it to be teleported back
down to the first floor.

Take this opportunity to head south, then east to get back outside of the
tower, and head to the Save Point. Recover and save, because I'm sure you
need to! After you're done with that, head back to the blue door on the
eastern side of the tower, and make your way back up to the fourth floor.

Go back south into the room, then head southwest and follow the path to
an elevator that takes you to the seventh floor.

Head southwest and follow the path to a fork. To the northeast is a locked
door, so you have no choice but to go southeast and examine the wall here
to open it. Continue southeast to a room with some new enemies (Layelahs),
which were like the Pink Mages in the Castle of Dreams, and they use
pretty powerful magic, so watch out for them. Now would be the time to
equip that Holy Mace, since it also works well against these guys, even
though normal weapons do a good enough amount of damage to them.

Anyway, step on the blue button in this room, and head back to the fork
and go northeast, since the blue door is now open. Head down the stairs in
this room to the sixth floor, where you'll find more new enemies (Toad
Demons), which aren't too hard. Anyway, at the fork, head west and down
those stairs to the fifth floor. Beside the stairs is an object; examine
it to rotate the room ahead of you, then go back up the stairs.

Back at the fork, head south, but watch out for the hole in the ground.
Follow the path to some stairs and [_250G_], then go down the stairs.
Check the southwest wall to open it, where you can find [_750G_]. Go back
and follow the path for a while, and try to avoid the Ghosts if at all
possible, because you'll have a rough time trying to defeat them with your
weapons. I hope you have Justin equipped with the Holy Mace I told you to
grab, right?

Getting back on track now, you should end up at another set of stairs, but
before going up them, examine the object beside the stairs TWICE to make
the room before you spin around some more. Now go up the stairs. Head east
and north to what seems to be a dead-end with a hole. Check the
northeastern wall to open it up for a [_MOONLIGHT SHIELD_], then fall down
the hole.

You'll land at a fork, so head west to find a chest containing a
[_DEMONSLAYER BOOMER_]. Then go back and head north up the stairs. Head
southwest and follow the path back down to the fifth floor. Before going
anywhere, examine the southwest wall to open it up, then grab the
[_CONE OF LIGHT_] at the end. Head back to the stairs and make your way
east and follow the path, past the stairs, to a room with [_250G_] by the
northern wall.

Head back to the stairs, and examine the object beside the stairs to spin
the room some more, then head northwest and follow the path to more
stairs, where you'll go back up to the sixth floor. Head north and grab
the [_250G_] near the hole, then head east to stairs going up to the
seventh floor.

Head west and step on the black button to open the door near the stairs.
Then head back and go southwest to a fork. Continue southwest to another
seemingly dead-end room, and examine the northwest wall to open it. Go
northwest some more, grab the [_250G_] in here, then press the red button.

Go back to the room you were just in and head west to a room with a purple
button, so push it, then head back to the previous room and head south
under the purple door to find some Gaia Brains hiding out (fight them!
They give good EXP compared to everything else), and follow the path to a
fork. Head south, and follow the path to a yellow button and [_250G_].
Collect the money and press the button, then head back to the room beside
the purple door.

Head back west through the red door to the purple button, and continue
south, and you should come to an octagonal room. Examine the
eastern/northeastern wall to find the pretty good [_SPIRIT STAFF_] in the
back. Then go to the southeastern side of the octagon, and go in and press
the green button.

Head back to the purple and red door room, and head through the purple
door. At the fork, head east under the green door, and follow the path
to the stairs. If your party is becoming exhausted, or you're just tired,
you can head back to that small elevator to take you to the fourth floor,
then use the teleporter and so forth to get back to the Save Point; it's
up to you; just head northeast, northwest, and northeast some more. When
you're ready, go up the stairs to the eighth floor. Then head up to the
ninth floor.

Be wary of traveling these hallways, because there are floor traps
everywhere, and you don't want to get confused as many times as I did,
mmmkay? Oh, and don't mess with the northwest hall until we've finished
the rest, because if you fall through the hole there, there's no turning
back.

*[.NOTE.]* Rapp's Demonslayer Boomer works well against the Satans on this
floor.

So first off, take the northeast path, and approach the trap in the
ground. Right after you set it off, sprint over it and follow the path to
a dead-end with a [_RESURRECT POTION_]. Head back to the hole, set it off,
then run back over it. Next, go down the north hallway, and approach the
hole, set it off, and follow the path to [_250G_] at a dead-end. Head back
to the trap, do your thing, then back to the room.

Take the southern path, watch out for the hole, then cross it. At this
turn, examine the western wall to open it up for [_750G_]. Go back and
continue east, following the path to [_250G_]. Then head back north and
northwest to get back to the room, while looking out for holes.

Go back to the northeastern hallway and fall down the hole. Head south,
then west to a fork. Head west to find a [_GOLDEN POTION_], then go back
to the fork and head northeast, and follow the LONG path to reach
[_250G_].

Head back to the north/south fork where we landed, and head north. Follow
the path for a while, and you'll soon come to a dark spot on the floor.
Don't hop down the trap just yet; open the wall to the southeast of it to
find some [_GLASS SLIPPERS_].

Go back to the trap door and head south. At the next fork, head west, and
follow this LONG path to another [_250G_]. Now head back to the trap door,
and fall down. Head east under the green door, and head back up two sets
of stairs to be back where we started.

Go to the southwestern hallway next, wait for the trap and cross it, then
continue on. Before the next hole, look for a darker wall on the
southwestern side; examine it to open it, then go in and open the chest to
obtain my favorite weapon in the game: the [_RUINATION KNIFE_]. Who cares
about defense when you got +3 combo hits with this thing?

Now, IF YOU'RE READY, to the northwest and northeast is the hole we want
to fall down to continue on. For a fair warning, there are a few bosses up
ahead, and if you're not at 100%, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND heading back down
to the seventh floor and taking the elevator down to the fourth, and
heading back to the Save Point to save and recover, then make your way
back up. Now, drop down that hole in the northwestern hallway.

After you fall, head southwest and go up the stairs to the ninth floor.
Head north and east and up the stairs to the tenth floor. Take a few steps
east and the camera will rotate, meaning one thing: Boss #1.
  ________
  |*BOSS*| Ah, the good boss music is back. Anyway, this

After the battle, open the door to the south, then head up the stairs to
the eleventh floor. Go west, and guess who's waiting? Boss #2.

[EXP] 8000
[Gold] 0G
[Items] Golden Potion, Mysterious Veil

After the battle, open the door to the north, then head up the stairs to
the twelfth floor. Go east, and meet the king of the Tower of Temptation:
Leviathan.
________ Back to the good boss music. Anyway, this
  |*BOSS*| guy's no joke. He's just like the Squid
************************ King from Disc 1, but he's much, MUCH
[ Leviathan------(7869 HP) ] harder. Now's the time to give him
[ Left Tentacle--(3877 HP) ] everything you got: Heaven&Earth; Cut, Neo
[ Right Tentacle-(4037 HP) ] Demon Ball, Feena's Zap! Whip or End of
************************ the World, and Liete's strongest spells
like DragonZap. Try not to let him attack,
[EXP] 13500 because he will hurt you pretty bad. What makes
[Gold] 12900G it worse it that the body heals itself, so this
[Items] Man's Headband could take a while. Do your best; there's not
much I can say that will make you win.

Now that we're basically finished with the Tower of Temptation, let's go
collect our rewards. Open the door to the south, then follow the path to
the Top Floor.

Outside, follow along the wall for a while until you reach a
[_SONIC BELT_]. DON'T GRAB THIS IF YOU DON'T HAVE ROOM! You can come back
in a second after you make room. Head back to the door, but go up the
stairs this time. Once you're up there, follow the yellow path and go up
the stairs.

Before grabbing the treasures, make room by stuffing some of your current
items in the Stashing Place, then collect the treasure so you don't have
to throw anything away. Starting from the north, going around, then the
chest in the middle, you'll find the following in the chests:

[_FAIRY TIARA_], [_FRUIT OF DEFENSE_], [_REVIVAL STONE_],
[_RING OF RAGE_], [_ETHEREAL MIRACLE_], [_ASTRAL MIRACLE_],
[_REVIVAL STONE_], [_HOLY CROWN_], and finally, the [_HERTZ SPIKE_].

The three best items here are the Hertz Spike, the Astral and the Ethereal
Miracle. The Astral Miracle doubles all weapon exp. received, and the
Ethereal Miracle doubles all magic exp. received. The Hertz Spike is the
best mace, with +65 attack, along with Sudden Death.

*[.NOTE.]* If you didn't grab the Zero weapons the first time, make six
spots worth of room in your inventory so you can grab them on the way out.

All right, now that this NIGHTMARE is over, let's get out of here! Head
down the stairs and go to the northern side of the purple platform to the
Magic Circle. Climb up, go to the middle, and back to the Savannah we go!

*[.NOTE.]* Now if you need to, teleport back to the Tower of Temptation
and grab the Zero weapons. When you return, you should notice that all the
monsters are back, and you'll have to do everything again if you happened
to miss anything. You can still use the teleporter to the fourth floor and
go to the seventh, but from there, you have to do all the puzzles again.
You won't have to fight the bosses again, luckily.

Back out in the Savannah, let's make our way back out to the World Map.
Make your way through the rocks, and when you get to the other side,
follow along the northwestern wall, go under the bridge, then go up the
ramp here and go to the other side. Head directly east and you'll exit
back out to the World Map.

Now, you should head back to Zil Padon and sell all the useless stuff you
