October 26, 2005 - This game is another hit from the creators at Sierra and Vivendi studios (creators of the Half-Life series) and is a different and fresh idea for a first person shooter. The story is quite weird and is like a Japanese horror eg The Ring which is not a bad thing but actually quite good because it gives the game a tense feeling and makes you want to play more. The gameplay is fun and the creators added a brilliant AI system and also have given us a slow motion ability of which you can turn on by pressing a certain key. The guns of which are Pistols (and there is dual wield) , Shotgun, Machine guns, Nail gun and some very powerful weapons which I dont want to spoil and grenades etc. The graphics engine is excellent and are close to Half-Life 2 but not quite as good and the game ran well on my computer with specs of Pentium 4 3.0 ghz, 512 ddr ram, an Ati radeon 128mb graphics card and I also got the version 1.1 patch for extra boost to make it run even better. The game is deffinetly not for younger gamers knowing that there is psychological horror and very disturbing scenes of which the game has been given an 18 certificate. The sound is very chilling given that the music is spooky and you here voices telling you things. The multiplayer is really addictive and I love it for its fun and sometimes crazy gameplay eg granades blowing up everywhere.
If you like First Person Shooters and want something that is different with a horror plot then get this game I loved playing it and I like people to experiance these masterpieces and great multiplayer games. Another great job from Sierra and Vivendi. BUY THIS GAME.

9.5	Presentation Easy menus and the game is presented well.
9.2	Graphics Not quite has good as Half-Life 2 but still the lighting effects are great etc. Still WOW!
9.5	Sound Moody, freaky music in some places, good voice acting, swearing from the enemies, great gun sounds yep all round great.
9.2	Gameplay Quite linear but refreshing and fun with slow motion and a brilliant AI system which is one of the best I have seen.
9.0	Lasting Appeal Game did not last that long but multiplayer is great fun and I love it. May want to play single player again though.
