Lineage II: The Chaotic Chronicle Review at Telefragged
Perseverance in NCsoft's persistent world title is rewarded with engrossing inter-player combat, says one critique.
- A review of Lineage II that surfaced yesterday evaluates five key areas of the massively multiplayer offering, of which the technology, sound and graphics fare well, and the conclusion reads thus:

Lineage 2 is a brilliant game with a few very brutal rules that will wind up being its undoing. The combat isn't hugely exciting, but it would be fine if players didn't have to slog through months and months of it before getting to the good stuff: the PvP combat. I think most people will refuse to put up with the game's severe death penalty and experience loss in PvP fighting; this could have been an excellent game, but it will just be too difficult for most players.

The scores for the five assessed categories vary from a low of 65% for gameplay to a high of 92% for sound, and the overall mark is 70%.
