Starting in 1996, Alexa Internet has been donating their crawl data to the Internet Archive. Flowing in every day, these data are added to the Wayback Machine after an embargo period.
After a pair of teaser demos, Argentinian developer Nucleosys now sends along the official playable demo for Scratches, their upcoming first-person point-n-click adventure. This demo contains the start of the full game "when the main character is arriving to a chilling Victorian mansion. There are plenty of rooms to explore, a few problems to overcome and some interesting tidbits of the mystery behind Scratches."
A new retail patch for F.E.A.R. is now online, upgrading the English edition of the recent supernatural first-person shooter by Monolith Productions to version 1.02. This Halloween-themed update adds the new Asylum multiplayer map, along with making preparations for the upcoming SDK/mod tools and fixing some localization issues.
There is a new movie trailer for The Lord of the Rings: the Battle for Middle-Earth II, revealing more of the fantasy 3D real-time strategy sequel in production at EA Pacific. Just in time for the game's release, LucasArts has issued the retail standalone PC server for Star Wars Battlefront II, the sci-fi 3D multiplayer action sequel by Pandemic Studios. Word is this download "includes the Basic Dedicated Server Manager Application. It also includes two Beta versions of the much more Enhanced Dedicated Server Manager as well as a Remote Server application."

After skipping the previous v2.4.0, Icculus has now released new Linux and Mac OSX full installers v2.5.0 of America's Army: Special Forces, once again allowing non-Windows gamers to join the team-based tactical shooter by the US Army. This release combines the Q-Course and Direct Action updates with an upgrade to Unreal Engine 2.5, new missions, weapons and admin features, gameplay enhancements, numerous tweaks, bug fixes and other changes.

There are new retail patches for Age of Empires III, updating the German edition of the historical 3D real-time strategy sequel by Ensemble Studios to version 1.01a. In addition to the same changes as the English v1.01 patch, this release also fixes "a crash bug that occurred when selecting the Capitol building," and you can upgrade from v1.01 or the original game.
Bethesda Softworks has officially released the E3 demonstration trailer for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, revealing much more of their fantasy first-person role-playing sequel in development. This movie comes in no fewer than six installments, offering in-game footage on the introduction, forests, combat, dungeons, traps, Radiant AI system, and a battle in the city of Kvatch that together runs for a whopping 21:30 minutes.
