April 26, 2004 - The kingdom of Aden was established after Raoul, its young sovereign, emerged triumphant from a savage civil war. Sharing the same continent, Elmore is a militaristic domain that claims an ancient heritage. Across the ocean to the west, Gracia is beset by turmoil among relatives seeking to occupy the throne. Indeed, while each of the countries poses a threat to the others, all three are also vulnerable to internal strife. This is the setting players will find in NCsoft's Lineage II: the Chaotic Chronicle, follow-up to the online world that continues to dominate in the huge Korean market.

The newer title entered commercial service in that country last October, and the North American is approaching its launch later this month. It will offer Dwarves, Dark Elves, Elves, Humans and Orcs as the playable options. The last four offer an initial choice between the Fighter and Mystic professions, while characters of the first race named avoid the arcane arts. In all instances, either gender may be selected, and further class alternatives open up later on during the course of advancement, which isn't a goal itself, but rather the means to make a mark or even to become a ruler.
