| Comment! It's not Diablo III, but the most exciting announcement from BlizzCon yet is the unveiling of The Burning Crusade, the first expansion set for World of WarCraft. The biggest features thus far revealed are:
New continent: Outland, the remnants of Draenor
Two new races, one revealed: Blood Elves (Horde)
Level cap raised to 70
Paired with the event announcement is the opening of the official web site for the expansion set where you may find and download its first game trailer as well as the first set of screenshots and artwork.
Pricing and a release date have not yet been revealed for World of WarCraft: The Burning Crusade.

Blizzard Entertainment will be offering attendees of its BlizzCon event the opportunity to get their photo superimposed on a scene from World of WarCraft, StarCraft, and even Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. Visit the Gates of Sescheron near Mount Arreat and bring back a "Wish you were here!" postcard.
BlizzCon 2005 will also feature a rock climbing wall � la Blackrock Spire from World of WarCraft and a jousting arena.

| Comment! Global Gaming League and Radio Inside the Game will be providing live coverage of BlizzCon starting this Friday, October 28 at 10:00 AM Pacific Time. The coverage will run during event hours and start again on Saturday at 10:00 AM Pacific Time.
BlizzCon 2005 will be Blizzard Entertainment's first official gaming convention and the event is dedicated to its famous computer game series' Diablo, WarCraft, and StarCraft. It will take place October 28-29, 2005 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

| Audiomoe, comedian Christian Finnegan, Jonathan Davis of Korn, and author Richard Knaak will all be attending BlizzCon 2005 as Blizzard Entertainment has announced.
Jonathan Davis of Korn will select the grand prize winner from the five winners of the Original Song Contest. Davis also allegedly plays World of WarCraft.
New York disk jockey Audiomoe (Moses Truzman) will be spinning live, onstage for the event.
Richard Knaak, author of a number of short novels based on Blizzard's games, will be available for autographs courtesy of TokyoPop and Simon and Schuster.
Christian Finnegan will perform at the closing night concert, limited to attendees with Full Show Pass tickets, that will also feature The Offspring. Finnegan is known for his work on VH1's Best Week Ever and Comedy Central programs.
We previously noted that a number of web comic personalities will be attending the event, including Gabe and Tycho from Penny Arcade. Scott Kurtz of PvP and Woody Hearn of GU Comics will also be present.
Update: The Battle.net web site noted today that Mad Mike Martin from MTV's Pimp My Ride will be at the Intel booth at BlizzCon.

| Blizzard teamed up with FilePlanet to let fans pick from the ten finalists the five winners of the BlizzCon Original Song Contest, through a poll based on the downloadable tracks. The top five in descending order are the following.

| Comment! Raevanmorlock released Beta C of his Diablo II Mod Launcher application for Windows with the addition of multi-version functionality.
The Mod Launcher program is a management tool for Diablo II mods, providing a simple way for players to bypass the manual file changes required to launch and play a given mod. Using it, one can easily organize a collection of mods, including multiple versions of those mods, and easily launch them when desired.
