August 30, 2005 - As with just about every other game on the N64(or game with Mario in it) Super Smash Bros. had an astounding multi-player mode. I believe that this is one of the top games on the N64 not only because it had a great multi-player but a fantastic single player.
____ SSB involves most of Nintendo's cast(Mario,Luigi,Donkey Kong,Pikachu,Link,etc.) It is a fighting game but the fighting is no where near realistic. Instead of just punches and kicks you'll be glad to hear they use all of the character's special powers from there own games. This is one of those pick up and play games and it not only has that but very addicting Story Mode and Bonus Levels.
____The one player mode let's you choose one character and take him through a 1 vs.1 (or 2 vs. 2, or 1 vs. multiple) Story Mode that you play against every other character in the game plus a few more. The game has a range of difficulties so if you're good or bad in the game you'll still have fun. The boss of the game is very hard and even if you've played the game alot you'll still have trouble with it.
____The multiplayer is also a load of fun to play too. You can gather 3 friends and spend a couple of hours playing the game. You can also take turns playing the one player mode. It doesn't matter which one you do you'll be guarenteed to have fun.
____The unlockables along with the bonus levels are very hard to get and defeat. Most of the people I know haven't unlocked the hardest character, Luigi. The "break the targets" and "boarder the platforms"" are very fun to play and difficult to complete. ____ Overal, I suggest this game to everyone who owns an N64 or plans on buying a Revolution.

8.4	Presentation The menu's in the game are very bland but are organized well. The booklet isn't to helpful but there's always IGN's guides.
8.0	Graphics The graphics weren't great but neither were the N64's compared to it's competition the Playstation. They are some of the better graphics on the N64 though.
8.1	Sound Nothing astounding but I wouldn't expect much from Nintendo in this field. If you played the NES or SNES this will give quite some nostalgia though.
9.1	Gameplay All of the controls are arranged brilliantly and the moves are very good and entertaining to watch. The game is very fun and fun to watch too.
9.5	Lasting Appeal Super Smash Bros. has a fantastic multi-player and a few unlockables that are hard to get. This game will leave you fun for years to come.
