May 12, 2005 - Activision Value Publishing has announced that it will be co-publishing TY the Tasmanian Tiger 3 (working title) with Krome Studios, Australia's largest game company. The series has sold over two million units to date and helped pave the way for another sequel that is currently being developed by Krome. The game will be coming to PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, and GameBoy Advance in the fall.

Just like the previous two games, TY 3 will be a kid-friendly title that features an array of native animals from the Australian Outback. Of course, the star will once again be TY, a character based on the Tasmanian Tiger species that is thought to be extinct. In his new adventure, TY will be fighting against an invasion by an ancient evil known as the Quinkan. The game will start out with TY reforming the Bush Rescue team to fight the dark forces. As the game progresses, TY will use a series of new and upgradeable weapons, including his famous boomerangs, to fight bigger and badder enemies.

TY 3 will be shown at E3 in L.A. next week. There the game will be on the floor for available demos. Be sure to check back next week for more information.
