Game Informer recently had the chance to sit down with lead designer Tim Willits, Designer matt Hooper, and Nerve Software president Brandon James to get the low down on the new addition to the Xbox family and the expansion pack: Resurrection of Evil for the PC. The article covers many general questions about Doom 3 for the Xbox such as multiplayer, gameplay length and weapons/enemies; so there isnt anything too new that hardcore Doom fans dont already know. As for the expansion pack, Tim Willits had an interesting reply when asked about Resurrection of Evil for the Xbox:
"GI: If Resurrection of Evil does well, any plans on porting that to the Xbox?
TW: We always look at our products and look at the different systems out there and base our decisions on each one of those ideas as we go. Weve definitely looked at it, but we dont have any current announcements or plans for something different that weve already talked about."

According to John Carmack's latest
blog update, it seems the programming guru is looking to create a DOOM RPG game for cellphones. Here's a snip:
I have a small list of games that I think would work out well, but what I decided to work on is DoomRPG sort of Bards Tale meets Doom. Step based smooth sliding/turning tile movement and combat works out well for the phone input buttons, and exploring a 3D world through the cell phone window is pretty neat. We talked to Jamdat about the business side of things, and hired Fountainhead Entertainment to turn my proof-of-concept demo and game plans into a full-featured game.
