April 6, 2005 - Midway announced today that Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict, developed by FPS wunderkinden Epic Games, is now officially gold. In other words, work on the game is complete, and it will enter manufacturing for its April 18 release.

Built from the ground up for the Xbox, Unreal Championship 2 features a deep melee combat system that seamlessly blends in with the ranged weapon combat the series is known for; the option of first or third-person points of view; a full story-driven single-player mode; dozens of all new maps; new game modes; and an arsenal of new weaponry.
